Updated from 1.6 to 2.1 a few weeks ago and ever since then my internet based applications won't work when i'm connected to wi fi netorks even though the phone says the connection is good. My 3G internet works fine though.
View 1 RepliesWifi is working in gingerbread 2.3.4 but after updating to official ICS 4.0.4 using pc companion, wifi does not start at all. What i've already done with no avail; Settings reset, factory reset, repair using pc companion, and reinstalling update using Sony Update Service. I've also tried manual flash to ICS but it didn't work. Lastly, I tried to flash back to gingerbread but also failed. Is their a bug issue in ICS wifi settings?

I've seen that the wifi connection between PC and phone works fine (in fact, if a server is mounted on phone, the PC finds it and can connect to the server) and the connection from the phone to another hotspot works, but if the node is the phone, the tunnelling between mobile data connection and wifi network, doesn't work (as no route is made!), so, PC connects to phone, but can't access to the Net.
I have just upgraded from a Z2 to a Z3 and a couple of applications that previously worked fine on my Z2 won't work unless connected to wifi such as viber and voxer and snapchat notifications only coming through when I connect to wifi even though snapchat is working fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedGetting pretty frustrated with the WiFi lately. I don't know what happens, but sometimes when I come to use my phone, I find the WiFi connection not working. The WiFi status icon shows it's receiving and not sending data, which is weird. I turn WiFi on and off, I "forget" my WiFi details and register them and again, but still not working. The only soluton I found wokring so far, is to restart my phone.
It's really an inconvenience when I'm in hurry and trying to get something really quick, and suddenly my phone goes, "Nope, WiFi not working, gotta restart me ", and I'm just looking at it with a straight face and blinking faster
What makes this happen? I have the "Keep WiFi On During Sleep" off, though I'm not sure if that's the case. And yes, the problem started happening after the Lollipop update.
Since I got my hdmi adapter for my Xperia z3, the WiFi stops working when the adapter is connected. The WiFi symbol is still there, I'm connected to my router, but for some reason I can't go online or use certain apps which require and Internet connection or go on YouTube.

Now though we have Cox for internet service. My phone is connected to the wifi, but more than half the time does it ever work. View 4 Replies View RelatedXperia Neo V. The Wifi function suddenly shut down tonight after I activated the 'Auto Synchronize' function in the settings. It appears that everytime after I try to turn the Wifi on, the screen is not responding and there isn't any wireless signals it can search (while there's actually several wifi signals), it's like the phone is dead, and I had to wait for like 10 seconds before the it started to respond. I tried to turn the phone off and restart it, but it didn't work. Other functions works well, only that I can't connect to internet since the wifi is not working.

I go to the Airport Utility App and it says that the Internet is not connected but a Windows laptop and Android phone can connect to the network but NOT my iPhone.
I have a new 2TB Time Capsule that I purchased about 2 weeks ago. So when I tried to go online on my phone and it uses the 3G network NOT WiFi, so I thought maybe it was my actual internet so I called Cox Communications (Internet Provider) they reset my modem and then had me reset my TC and still nothing. The COX representative stated that everything looked good on her end. So now that everything except my iPhone is able to connect to the WiFi and Cox saying everything is good, I have come to the conclusion that the problem is my iPhone and the new update to 5.1.1.
After hanging up with with Cox I did "Forget the network" in my phone, restarted by phone and still nothing. I click on my network and it just sits and spins and spins and nothing.
