Ok so iv been trying to update my x10 all evening with no luck i have the latest companion downloaded iv backed up my data iv disabled my anti virus software still no good. i live in the republic of Ireland and im with the meteor network! im currently on 1.6 android platform! i get as far as step 2(prepare) on the phone software update but it just says INSTALLER ERROR UNABLE TO INSTALL OR START PHONE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS
Im just starting using xperia x8. im in the middle of updating my phone from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1. I have followed the steps given but still got problem in "Prepare Section". It displays 'Unable to install or start phone software update components' .
i got the notification in my phone x 10 mini that androdi 2.1 is available for my phone and i can install it via pc companion softwares developed by Sony !!But when i try to update the software through Pc companion software i got the following error after the preparing section reaches beyond 70 %
I waited over 7 days for the update to show up in my PC companion (my SI number was released on the 18th, only just got access to the update today)...Now, when I try to update, I get an installation error from PC companion and when I try to use SUS, I get some sort of program error and I can't even start the program. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.tried restarting the phone/computer to no avail.
I have bought a sony Xperia mini pro SK17i few months ago; yesterday i got a notification that there is an android update is available for my phone. I was downloading that and start installing, few minutes later the phone switched off automatically and i was unable to switch it on again.
I have successfully completed my software updation process. After update I switch on the phone and after a while language option occurs.. I selected English(US), then I click to next, it does not work, I mean setup does not moves to next step...
I updated my mini pro yesterday night. Overall response is fast.Camera application is looking weird with limited functions. The 2.3.4 version of camera application shoots better pictures than the updated camera application. Camera window opens and shows up the visuals as if they are zoomed in by default despite not using zoom in feature.I'm disappointed with this update of camera functions.
Getting MHL working? I tried this with 5.1.1 to no effect (the Bravia TV recognised the adapter but the phone didn't react when plugged in). Should I revert or is there a way to test this? So far I've tried two different adapters - the first wasn't recognised by the TV, the second was - progress! All cables have been swapped to no effect.
Updated from 1.6 to 2.1 a few weeks ago and ever since then my internet based applications won't work when i'm connected to wi fi netorks even though the phone says the connection is good. My 3G internet works fine though.
i have an x8 since december and suddenly my market will not work. it keeps saying " a network error has occured" although im connected to mobile internet and my other online apps are working ie.... facebook and Internet.
Setup is:Â L2TP/IPSec with PSK to my private network.
Since my old device (Xperia S), which is on android 4.3.X, is still working. I don't see any configuration problems, but I guess that this is a problem with android 4.4.X  The same problem occurs on my sony tablet z since the update to 4.4.X
The (default) camera app used to work fine. But suddenly it would not anymore:
1. When I press the button to activate the camera, it will not start the camera app anymore.
2. When I start the (default) camera app manually, it will start, leave the content of the viewfinder black and freeze: I need to reboot the phone because none of the buttons (back, menu, home) will react.
3. Alternatively, after about 2 minutes the frozen application will kill itself (I have no autokiller installed!)
Would uninstalling and re-installing the (default) camera app If yes, how would I get it uninstalled and where would I get the camera.apk to download from to re-install it?
After updating to 5.1.1 on my Z2, I cannot send or receive any sms. All the settings seem to be correct. Also on Facebook messenger, the last message that I send seem to dissappear.
I just upgraded my android to v2.1. Now my phone is working really slow. Touch is very slow, camera is slow, everything is slow. Even I uninstalled all extra apps. I made a mistake that I upgraded my handset.
Suddenly 2day after one year of using Android Market Smoothly, i opened my android market 2day to find this message "android market authentication is required. you need to sign into your google account" and when i check the accounts, it says logged on as ... my Email and account, so i don't know wat to do then there is no signing out and relogging in again .....
after updating my phone to .587 earphone speaker is not working. i am unable to hear the voice while calling but the same is heard while it is in speaker. while having service test ie *#*#service#*#* the earphone speaker is working fine
I got error message when i update my nexus 5 to 5.0.1, my nexus downloading the update and restart, after that in the middle of the process, it suddenly says error
Probably it have something to do with i root my nexus 5?
I'm using Nexus Toolkit to root so can i use the Toolkit to unroot without losing data? After that will i be able to update OTA?
I use Toolkit to Flash stock + unroot and it worked and i didn't lose any data (Must go to option and check unwipe data). I first unroot using supersu but that didn't work, just want to share it.
Has anyone else received an OTA to Android 4.1.2 for their Xoom Wifi only? I got the update on Friday but did not receive an invite to a soak test so I believe that this update was an update to all US Xoom WiFi tablets.
WHILE updating to android 5.0 my s5 starting getting problem,... when I turn on it, comes with a white screen and after it lock it became black and remain like that however everything works call. Watapps sound, etc.
My android market is not updating to the latest version i.e. 3.xx stuck on 2.xx. How do I get it self updated instead of using an external apk to install?
I having the problem after update my X10 to android 2.1. I found that my screen light sensor (which actually works b4 under different environment lighting) and the LED notification light (it works b4 while I got the missed call or sms) do not work after update to android 2.1... One more is, the screen color gradation seem worst that b4...is it normal?
i updated my xperia pro to android 4.0.4 but i don't like it now i want to downgrade to android 2.3.4... my SI number is : 1261-5019... my question is which firmware or rom is suitable for this SI number? there is 3 rom 42 and .58 and .62.
