Are there people experiencing problem with their wifi connection after updating their XMP to ICS? In my XMP, It always said that no connection even though I'm connected to the wireless connection (it was not stable unlike when I'm using GB).
View 1 RepliesI received an update notification today on my Xperia mini. For whatever reason Sony only provide this update via a PC. Tried to carry out the update on 2 computers without success. On one computer PC companion returns an eror message at the 'preparing computer' stage - no help on how to rectify the problem. On my laptop, PC companion switches off my phone and then freezes the computer. I di on one attempt get to the 'update' stage where I was presented with some odd manipulations of disconnecting and re-connecting the phone. I followed the instructions but then update process didn't continue.Can anyone cast any light on this or better still can Sony provide the update OTA?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm at home, I keep my 3G data services turned off. I have a wifi connection and the 3G connection isn't very good inside my house anyway. For some reason, every time I open Android Market, it tells me I have to turn on data services, even if I'm connected already to wifi, and then it keeps interrupting because of the poor 3G connection. Is there any way to force this application to use wifi? I have no problem with other applications.

I've just switched SIM cards from Vodafone to Telstra to try and get more reliable coverage. The phone has connected to the Telstra 3G network and I can make/receive phone calls and texts, however I have not been able to get a data connection (and my plan has 500GB included) except on the house wifi.

After the update, all of a sudden I get the problem that as soon as I turn on wifi I get the message "unable to scan for networks" and then it switches wifi off.

When the I am instructed to switch off my Xperia and turn it on back again to contact with my PC I am getting the below window which states that I need to scroll the smart status bar and choose 'Connected USB device' on my phone and than 'Instal'... well.. I don't have these option. When I scroll down the status bar I get only 2 options: 'Connect USB' or Do not connect'. If I connect it it revert me back to the previous point when the system is asking to switch off and on the phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to reach an email setup on my N97 mini that I am happy with and so far have struggled and given up on the hopeless nokia email client, and am now having problems with setting destinations for automatic email retrieval. I have my internet destination set to prioritize to different wlans and then WAP. This is my default connection.
I have a gmail and a pop3 email account, set up for automatic retrieval, however they don't pull in any mail if the access point in use is set to default connection. If its set to WLAN, it works, if its set to contract WAP, it works, and if its set to default connection it works for manual connection but not automatic retrieval.
What makes it worse is I am sure it was set up and working last week? Any thoughts please? I am getting so frustrated with the error prone nature of email on this phone I am thinking of going back to my trusted N95 8GB.
I've just got my new Nokia X6 a few days ago, and thought I'd play around a little with it. I then spotted an issue where I wasn't able to browse the internet (or any other internet application for that matter) without disconnecting the WiFi connection every time I want to load a new website or load a new page in the Ovi Store. The Router I am using is only running 54 Mbps, and I'm now using it with the password disabled, just to try if that changed anything, it didn't. I havn't been able to try using a 3G connection yet, as my service provider has somehow failed at supplying me with it at the moment.
