Xperia Ray :: Its Not Working Properly After Flashing And Rooting?
Dec 13, 2012
My phone came with GB 2.3.4 build .62 which is hard to root. So as the above guide directed, I downloaded a .42 build firmware, CE(Central Europe perhaps? I don't know) and tried to flash it using flashtool. I disconnected the phone from the PC in between. My phone wouldn't boot. Then I used SUS and updated it to ICS, making the phone work. I then flashed it to GB .42 patiently, and with success. Alas, problems started immediately. Many processes such as media, calender storage, acro etc came up as stopped working. Even after selecting force close they would keep appearing. I cleared the respective cache/data and the notifications stopped. Then I rooted it using Doomlord's toolkit, and updated to .62 via OTA, keeping my root. A few things have changed. The keyboard name is the same, International keyboard, but it is different and I don't like it. Camera is not working. Screen goes blank if I open the camera. Messaging does not work and the messaging app crashes as soon as I open it. No contacts are found, despite importing them again. (They all show up when using the import from SIM option, it says importing is done but they are nowhere to be found). Google search is not working and it crashes too.
On Chainfire's thread there is a link to a boot image for the MDB08K build of our phones, but nothing else. I personally have build number MDB08L and when I tried rooting the phone and flashing TWRP, I became stuck in a bootloop that I was eventually able to recover from. That was using the stock boot image for the MDB08L build number from Google's site.
My question simply is, how can we root any version other than the MDB08K build because we don't have a modified boot image of any other build.
I went for a short walk today, and when I got home I noticed that endomondo had it as a 4km walk. I measured on gmaps pedometer as less then 2km. When I had a look at map, I saw why.
few days ago I've made a discussion here about the GPS of my Mini, that wasn't working good after an update. Before the update, it got locked on 30 seconds(max) in a cold start, and in a normal start, in about 5~10 seconds. After the update in the same conditions and same place, in a cold start, it takes around 1~2 minutes, and in a normal start it takes around 30 seconds. That's not normal, my friend has a Mini too and he is with the same firmware and his lock time on a cold start is around 25~30 seconds and on a normal start 5~10 seconds. I get the phone to the SE assistance, after 1 day they told me that was a firmware trouble and updated it again, but the phone still the same. What should I do?
the thing is sometimes the data traffic doesnt work, i mean when i enable data traffic there is no E symbol and the same thing is happening with my GPS...sometimes they creates problem and if GPS get started its nt able to provide actual location. things what i did--- system reset 2 times + system repair using PC companion but the problem is from 2 days..what should i do to enjoy my cell phone experience again..
My Xperia Z3+ is not working properly. The touchscreen works at random on its own and most of times won't work especially on the corner ends both bottom and up...Plus when I try to slide the it doesn't work either.Continues even after removing all the covers and cleaning and so on..
If leave a wifi area my xperia z2 doesn't start to use mobile data, so I have to reboot like ten times a day... Also i even lose mobile data without entering a wifi sometimes.furthermore the signal is pretty weak compared to my old xperia Z :-(
A few days ago I bought a new Xperia Z5 Premium from a local reseller, and it works just fine, most of the time.Yesterday I noticed that the fingerprint scanner works pretty bad most of the time, and sometimes it chooses to not work at all.It just refuses to recognise my fingerprint, and I've deleted and registered it over and over again.I've now added three registered prints of my thumb, and it still is extremely wonky. (The sensor, and my thumb, are both clean and unharmed).I just searched the forum, and lots of people seem to have the same issue from a few months back.
I have a problem with WIFI connection Xperia NEO after installing ICS. I tried to repair using apps that I found but to no avail. I checked the router settings to change channels 1-11 on WPA2 encryption.
Since the Lolliopop update, change the orientation from horizontal to vertical (or vice versa) often results in the no screen rotation i find I have rotate the device at least 180 degrees before it detects anything
Having issue with TWRP not erasing/flashing roms properly..I have a dark theme installed Domination Theme with the extras (MMS, contacts, etc) and i did a very clean install, normally I go Wipe > Advanced and select all partitions and format it.After flashing another rom, I noticed some parts are still dark themed like the MMS, Google search bar, contacts, etc
I would like to root my Xperia x8, however I cant connect it via USB as the port on the phone is damaged. Is there any way of doing it via Bluetooth? Or any way of doing it at all? I should explain that the damage is not covered by the warranty due to 'physical damage' and that the phone is 'beyond economic repair'. Also I am running firmware version 2.1.
I need a quick and easy guide to root my 0.62 GB version of neo v.Pls let me know if this is for 0.42 version or 0.62 version. And also without unlocking bootloader.i haves a lock bootloader and dont want to unlock it.
Could any one let me know how can i record my wished phone calls on my brand new xperia neov.I dont want to use rooting procedure, as my warranty might get void.I tried with some apps on google play, but none of them were working fine.
I have a Neo V and it was with GB in start, then upgraded to ICS and now with GB again, but this time the battery life is lower than in the start. So how to have better battery life?
How can I get a screen capture application without rooting my mobile? None of the application works for my x10! I'm having the latest update, which is ginger bread.
So like many people I'd like to customize my phone with a different image to the stock. I've done this before with HTC phones, and earlier this year updated to the Xperia Z2, with the intention of flashing it when a stable build came out from Cyanogen.
Finally gotten round to doing this and after a confusing twenty minutes trying to get it into fastboot I learn that on its service page its rooting status, bootloader unlock is not allowed.
When I connect my Iphone 3gs to Wifi network and after a few minutes get out of the range of the wifi, then the 3g should work. But in my case when I turn on wifi and connect to a network and after a few minutes turn off wifi, then its not able to connect to the 3g network(Airtel-India) which is availabe and i have tested this on my android phones too, it work perfectly fine there.
I have bought C3 a month ago but it has some faults in applications like conversation (it doesn't keep one contacts messages at one place), sometimes cell hangs due to sending text to someone. Furthermore, have nokia launched its upgraded OS
Just yesterday I installed new version to my phone (flashing) and the WiFi doesn't work. I find my network, connecting in to it, but web browsing is not working.
When I use a 2.5 (who's ridiculous idea was that, anyway?) to 3.5 converter for my e71x, and have the headphones plugged in all the way, I only get audio out of the right side of the headphones. If I plug the the headphones in just before it clicks in to place, I can get audio out of both sides but since it's not fully plugged in the sound always bounces in and out. I've used multiple converters and headsets, all of which are working properly. Is this a design flaw or do I have a bad one that I need to send in for warranty repair?
