Oct 25, 2011It's been a good month that i have not been getting traffic alerts from my GPS, when I drive in the highway around Boston, MA. It usually tells me if there are road constructions, traffic congestions, recalculates directions, etc.On my GPS everything is turned ON under Traffic. I even tried Master Reset to see if that works, but nothing .

Nov 23, 2010I purchased my 5800 Xpress Music to replace both my old phone and my Garmin sat-nav. I have been using the Ovi Maps satnav regularly for several months (and am delighted with it)but never seem to get any traffic information - even when my car's built-in Traffic Master is warning me of congestion ahead.I have the phone set to update traffic information every five minutes but, to date, have never received anything! I don't even know how the information is presented when it arrives!

Apr 7, 2010I've been using Nokia Maps for my 5800 and have been very impressed (its not perfect but given its free).However, the only one bit that seems to *never* work is the traffic updates (I have tried several times).When using navigation, I choose update traffic¯, it says updated successfully¯ but I see no traffic anywhere (on the map, on the traffic update screen)Any ideas?

Nov 7, 2012On my new Lumia 920, Nokia maps is not showing traffic info for me. I have already updated to 3.0, but when I set the map view to traffic info, nothing happens.
WIth the builtin Bing maps however (which is not directly accessible, but for example when clicking on a contact's address), traffic info works just fine. I'm in Germany, so it's not about the coverage.

Aug 15, 2011I have tried this on 3 different Nokia E6 phones, on GPRS with 5bars, 3G with 5bars and at home over wifi. All internet traffic is really slow, when on the browser downloading the SIS file for google maps, it took 5mins to download just 160k. Once I did get it installed, the Google Maps app take ages to load map tiles, and emails take about a minute to download an email with just a few lines of text.
When using OVI store, pages load really slow. So all internet apps are slow. The phone overall is quick. All this in an edge or 3G area with 5bars, and 3 phones do the exact same. All firmware ver 22.14. Same settings, area and sim card in my Nokia E71 and E72 are perfect.

The website tells me I can update to Ovi maps so I've installed Ovi Suite, got all the firmware and software updates, follow the instructions to download and install Maps Updater.First it seems to object to another version of map loader or maps updater running, so I close Ovi Suite and its OK then it gets the next error in th title here.

Nov 7, 2011Every so often on my N8, I get a call from "someone". All I see is the phone number, with no indication of who it's from. Then I find out it's from someone who should have already been listed in my contacts.
Is there any way to search through contacts by phone number? At least that way I'd know who the call was from, before calling back.
Also, is there anything to do (or not to do) that will minimize this problem? I have multiple phone numbers and email addresses for several people, but I didn't think that would create an issue.

Oct 11, 2011I own a Nokia N8 and have installed Nokia Battery Monitor 2.1 and I've noticed that the native battery level monitor is always reporting more battery level than the Nokia Battery Monitor.Also I'm experiencing problems with the native monitor because it seems to be stuck at the same level (It has been stuck at 100% while Nokia Battery Monitor reported 70%).Switching off the phone hasn't solved the problem until I used restore the phone to factory default option but know it is stuck at 80% (and Nokia Battery Monitor reports 53%)

Jun 18, 2010When you first use HD Traffic you set up a username (email address) and password. If you go to the "Traffic" menu in TomTom on a second phone and log in with those details it will work fine but inactivate HD Traffic on the first handset. AFAIK you can swap around as often as you like but it can only be operational on one phone at a time.
