How works the traffic info in Nokia Drive? I mean, I see no option to activate/deactivate it. Does it allow to change the route according to traffic? Can we setup this?
View 1 RepliesOn my new Lumia 920, Nokia maps is not showing traffic info for me. I have already updated to 3.0, but when I set the map view to traffic info, nothing happens.
WIth the builtin Bing maps however (which is not directly accessible, but for example when clicking on a contact's address), traffic info works just fine. I'm in Germany, so it's not about the coverage.
Just thought I'd mention a great little app I'd used for a while, just updated ITIS Traffic report, it's free, works really well and can be very handy

How to activate voice navigation in Z3. Looks like there is no such option provided in Z3. Its really troubling with such high end smartphone, need to use touch everytime to ope music/sms/alarm clock dismiss/navigating apps.
On Utube, there is a video shows option under settings to Enable Voice feature under Swipe unlock security , which is not available in my phone.
I purchased my 5800 Xpress Music to replace both my old phone and my Garmin sat-nav. I have been using the Ovi Maps satnav regularly for several months (and am delighted with it)but never seem to get any traffic information - even when my car's built-in Traffic Master is warning me of congestion ahead.I have the phone set to update traffic information every five minutes but, to date, have never received anything! I don't even know how the information is presented when it arrives!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased the Nokia x6 which I received on Monday. after 2 days trying to set up the Ovi maps, a friend told me that i had to go into tools, navigation and do something in there for the maps to work but after going into tools I discovered there was no navigation option. The software is has an option for a license key which I don't have and didn't think iI needed as it clearly states on the box 'Free OVI Maps forever' but maps just don't work and I stumped to why there is no navigation option which my friends phone has.

I try to turn on iMessage, and it only works with my two emails. i use the emails for my iPads iMessage, and i do not want the same send/receive for my iPhone and iPad. i want to use my number for iMessage on my phone, but when i try to tap the number as a send/receive option, its grayed out and not an option. i have the latest software and everything, but it just wont activate.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've transferred my Points of Interest (POI) to the phone memory, I've Open the file and saved them all into the Phone, then when I go the Nokia Maps, I've create a new collection. Now, how can I select all the POI that are in the predefined "folder/collection" to the new one that I've created? One by one? That seems impossible to me. How can I deactivate the visualization of my POI in the Map? And finally, after I've defined a Route, how can I browse the map without stopping/cancel the route?

I formatted my SD, soft reset, hard reset and I wanted to reinstall the software using Nokia software updater, but it seems that its not supported anymore by Nokia.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have recently experienced an issue when trying to call to another country, and the message I get on my 920 is that I need first to de-activate my call barring. I was trying to do that, yet I can not find this option.
Is this problem related to the network provider (Virgin France) or to the phone itself?
1) Unable to deactivate power saving mode....
2) Nokia Store : Connection error though wifi is on & connected... says mobile data off....
3) Every time i restart the phone it says - system error
This is very frustrating since the backlight only lasts 5 seconds. I have tried settings/settings/light time out(5sec) but message comes up "Unable to change setting. Power saving mode active." Do not know how to deactivate power saving mode? Instruction book no use. (Power saver time out is set at 90 sec).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have tried this on 3 different Nokia E6 phones, on GPRS with 5bars, 3G with 5bars and at home over wifi. All internet traffic is really slow, when on the browser downloading the SIS file for google maps, it took 5mins to download just 160k. Once I did get it installed, the Google Maps app take ages to load map tiles, and emails take about a minute to download an email with just a few lines of text.
When using OVI store, pages load really slow. So all internet apps are slow. The phone overall is quick. All this in an edge or 3G area with 5bars, and 3 phones do the exact same. All firmware ver 22.14. Same settings, area and sim card in my Nokia E71 and E72 are perfect.
I installed Nokia Navigation 2.0 with some maps on my Lumia phone. But how can I find out the version of the installed maps? And how can I check the actual existing version of the maps on the Nokia server?

Maps 3.08 does not let me calibrate my compass (at least not by ticking once or twice at the compass). By consequence, while navigating it does not orientate the display with the top in the forward direction. I found a workaround by using a separate compass application, calibrate the compass there, and then Maps works perfect. There must be a easier way to calibrate the compass from within the Maps application.
