I have a Lumia 920. I've been trying to use traffic updates with Nokia maps in the Los angeles area.It appears that every tiem you zoom out, traffic does not update.

Just downloaded and installed the new free Ovi Maps on my Nokia n97 mini. looks great, works great except I cannot see anywhere to purchase or activate Traffic/Speed camera updates!Are these settings free now too or do I need to buy the updates like before? and if so where?

They were updating fine until about 4 days ago, and now everytime I click on update traffic info, it does the check, and no traffic info comes through. I'm from the UK, using the 5800 XpressMusic with the latest Ovi Maps App.

I have been using the Ovi Maps satnav regularly for several months (and am delighted with it)but never seem to get any traffic information - even when my car's built-in Traffic Master is warning me of congestion ahead.I have the phone set to update traffic information every five minutes but, to date, have never received anything! I don't even know how the information is presented when it arrives!
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my new Lumia 920, Nokia maps is not showing traffic info for me. I have already updated to 3.0, but when I set the map view to traffic info, nothing happens.
WIth the builtin Bing maps however (which is not directly accessible, but for example when clicking on a contact's address), traffic info works just fine. I'm in Germany, so it's not about the coverage.
Are people still receiving traffic information in the UK. It worked for about 2 weeks on the latest update (the free one of course!), but now it updates but doesn't download any new information and says its updated at so-and-so time.

How can I transfer the Traffic & Security License to the E90 where my Drive Europe license is?
I own a Nokia E71 and I am very excited about Nokia Maps. I am not a good computer user but somehow managed to land into this forum. I have downloaded Nokia Maps on my Nokia - E71 and its awesome but the voice navigation is not working. When I tried to download Voices using "Map Loader" it shows no entry. I have attached the screenshot of "Map Loader" for your reference.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. I have happily used maps and the check-in process, but about two weeks ago it stopped working. When I try to check in now, the phone appears to be trying to update the places, but then comes up with the error message "There are currently network problems. Please try again later."I have tried removing my Nokia account, rebooting the phone and reinstalling it. This made no difference.I have also tried deleting the "Cities" folder and then reinstalling the maps via Nokia Suite. Again this has made no difference.

Whenever i start the maps app. it shows unable to connect with internet. Whenever i search a destination it shows "searching offline". Am using Nokia c5-03 and It shows as the latest update.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?

View 7 Replies View Relatedusing Nokia C7 and Belle and tried to update maps. First error message said 'if you update you will lose all the other maps data'. OK, I need the latest maps. Using wi-fi I updated just my countries latest maps, so far so good. Then updated Europe OK. That was last night. Today, tried to update all the other maps and Nokia suite says they are already on the phone.The C7 hangs on 'Map Loader' for 10 mins and then quits, tried restarting the C7 and computer - no change. Nokia suite say all maps are on the phone, no idea how they got there or what version they are though.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a nokia E7 (Blue) US Version but I am using it in Canada. I updated it to Symbian Anna and so on. Everytime I try to add new maps from the cell phone itself it says (downloading list, please wait) this takes FOREVER, then i try to do it by nokia ovi suite, well that is even worse, sometimes it says THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH CONNECTING THE ONLINE MAPS, sometimes it says some crazy errors (COULDNT CONNECT TO THE SERVICE, ETCC). I deleted the E:/cities folder + QF file, I opened the Ovi map apps and they got restored and so on but still nothing happens. Is there any other way to add some map I mean MANUALLY? I need the USA and Canada map, (voice guidande male us), I read some discussion from Ovikudy on how to do it manually but i need theses files.
BTW, I regret buying this Nokia E7 big time I should have listened to my friends and go to ANDROID. I know nokia is killing symbian but please fix those MAP serverS.
I've been trying to use the GPS navigation through NOKIA MAPS but it doesn't work, in my phone's screen appears "the license has expired" or something like that. I'd like to know what i've to do to make it work. Because Iv'e heard that tthe GPS navigation in other nokia models is free.

it has been widely reported that the routing algorithm has some flaws in choosing the best route. there are many examples in this forum.so i expect that it will be impoved in the future.these improvements will be only for devices running 3.03 and later or will be they be backported also to 3.01?this is quite important because a bad routing algorithm is very bad for a navigation application even if it is "cheap".
