I discovered that my Nokia 700 maps does not work properly. As I zoom in closer than 10km=1cm it just doesn't show any roads and not even cities. It just looks like there is missing content for that close image. I am watching the "Latvia" map and Riga city.

If the user starts scrolling the page with the mouse wheel and the mouse pointer ends up over the map, the scrolling automatically starts zooming out the map. This is a problem because the user expects to scroll the page, not the map. And what ends up happening is that the map is zoomed out all the way and the user cannot reach the end of the page unless he/she moves the mouse pointer outside the map.I would like to have the mouse scroll zoom the map only if the user first clicked on the map. Is there a way to do this.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthe ovi maps installed on my 5800 doesn't work properpy or rather i should say it doesn't work at all.from the moment i start the maps app it starts showing me the message "searching for position" and same message is displayed for an hour or more till i get frustrated n close this app.i have tried using it indoor, outdoors, on streets, my house roof, my friend's house roof(which are quite far away). And i hv also used it with gprs connection and wifi connection(i literally took my router on the roof to make wifi available there).i am pretty sure that there is a s/w problem because when i run google maps, it uses gps function wid out any problems.

I have downloaded Nokia Maps on my Nokia - E71 and its awesome but the voice navigation is not working. When I tried to download Voices using "Map Loader" it shows no entry. I have attached the screenshot of "Map Loader" for your reference.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. I have happily used maps and the check-in process, but about two weeks ago it stopped working. When I try to check in now, the phone appears to be trying to update the places, but then comes up with the error message "There are currently network problems. Please try again later."I have tried removing my Nokia account, rebooting the phone and reinstalling it. This made no difference.I have also tried deleting the "Cities" folder and then reinstalling the maps via Nokia Suite. Again this has made no difference.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?

But when it is in music player mode they turn the volume up and down perfectly fine. Any ideas how to fix it or is a trip to Nokia Care needed? Would upgrading the firmware do anything to solve the problem?

Last week I upgraded to 5.0.0.607. Now BB Maps shows only a yellow screen with no maps. I have tried everything I could on the boards, reinstalled a couple times. Still no luck.
After updating to OS6, the backlight keep going off after a few seconds even i set it to timeout at less than 25%. Another problem is when i use it for gps navigation, i type a new addresss i need to gets to and i display it on map, when i drive, the spot showing me is moving, however the map is not moving along with it, after a while it just goes out of the map. Anyway to get this working like before it was updated to OS6?

i have maps 3.04v? i used Nokia Suite to transfer maps of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia and Serbia. Nokia Suite also transferred Europe base map. But i think i can only view base map of Europe. I cant view detiled maps of cityies.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a nokia E7 (Blue) US Version but I am using it in Canada. I updated it to Symbian Anna and so on. Everytime I try to add new maps from the cell phone itself it says (downloading list, please wait) this takes FOREVER, then i try to do it by nokia ovi suite, well that is even worse, sometimes it says THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH CONNECTING THE ONLINE MAPS, sometimes it says some crazy errors (COULDNT CONNECT TO THE SERVICE, ETCC). I deleted the E:/cities folder + QF file, I opened the Ovi map apps and they got restored and so on but still nothing happens. Is there any other way to add some map I mean MANUALLY? I need the USA and Canada map, (voice guidande male us), I read some discussion from Ovikudy on how to do it manually but i need theses files.
BTW, I regret buying this Nokia E7 big time I should have listened to my friends and go to ANDROID. I know nokia is killing symbian but please fix those MAP serverS.
In Maps when I find a place to go to and press ok it says Waiting for GPS. And never finds it. I need to restart the phone, then it works ok, but only for one route. New navigations are not possible again.

When I go to Nokia store, it confirms that Nokia Maps is not available for the C7-00?I have managed to locate the installer "nokia_maps_3_377815.08_11wk45_b05_SR1.0.sis" but when I try and install this over the beta version it just errors.

On my old Sony Ericsson google maps was pre-installed, but nothing like this on the C3, I am happy with the phone so far but curious as to why maps seems to be available for every other Nokia except the C3? Not listed in the drop down box when trying to choose handset model and download. It's a relatively new model(April 2010 release date I think?)so it's not like it can't support the software.
