Samsung :: How To Unlock Nvm Folder For Finesse On Metro Pics

I have a samsung finesse for metro pcs and I am trying to sawp the esn with my moto hint. I bought a samsung finesse of of craigslist and the phone turned out to be on the bill not paid list . I can't get in touch with the seller b/c i was scammed! Anyways, I found how to use qpst and ect... but when i get into it I can't access the nvm folder!!! It has a huge red cross through it and is empty when i click on it. I have tried everything to unlock it but can't! If anyone knows how to unlock the nvm folder for the samsung finesse on metro pcs!

I've been thinking of getting this phone on Straight Talk, but I'm finding it hard to pay retail for a smart phone that is locked down so tight. I've been searching for the OS of this phone here and on Google but have come up blank.I've used smart phones up till about a month ago when I dumper VZW and feel kinda lost with just a standard handset.

i have been looking for the lock code under Menu> 3 > * > lock code:=? i have tried 450667 but it will not work! does anyone have a list of the codes? another thing i have a Sprint Samsung instinct that i just flashed over to metro i fixed the web and now need to fix the mms. if i could get into that menu in my messenger it would show me the settings.

hi guys i bought a new samsung metro s3310. i kinda have problems with the java in it. i installed a oxford dictionary (java)(from mobiles24.com) in that mobile. but that dictionary application works kind a different. wen i installed the same application in nokia and sony ericcson mobile (the left softkey is for selecting a word, right softkey is for deleting a character). but in samsung metro (left softkey is for selecting a word, right softkey is exit). so i very difficult to handle this kinda applications in this mob. there is similar kinda problem in other java applications also. how to rectify this kinda problem.

As the title says all my images and videos are now no longer within the captured folder when you go into photo's, I have tried deleting all of the _PAlbTN folders, also factory reset the device, still nothing there, any ideas on what I can do to get these back in the captured folder?Otherwise it seems a pointless feature if every firmware update you lose all the data captured over the months since the last update, I have also tried copying all in the camera album over to the PC and put back onto the phone mass memory.It's doing my head in now, I have trawled the forums to find information but nothing. I have a lot of other items on my mass memory which I have accumilated from over the years and transferred to each new phone I get, got something in the region of 2500 images and videos, on the mass memory stored in the traditional way, where E is the mass memory etc:

Instead of the new way i.e.
E:ImagesCamera200910200910A0
Do the files (images and videos) get assigned new tags to allow it to identify them as being taken on the device, my viewby month folder is also not working.

can I delete "thumbnail" pics/files at DCIM folder? Before no other folder available inthere other that the dcim, now maybe due to image or camera app, it added some folders. I assume this is for the "fish eye" app. I have all these files in my image folder. Would I have a problem if I remove it? I want to remove to free up some RAM/spaces.

I set a screen lock code today and used it several time with no problems. Tonight the unlock screen shows 'Enter Password to Unlock' but when I enter the pin code, it will not unlock.

I'm not sure if this has already discussed, but I could find no information on it through google searches or on these forums. How to download your pics from your Convoy SCH-U640 to your PC.
1. Gotta have a microSD card.
2. Your pics need to be on the card. You can set the phone to automatically save to the card, or you can move the pics to the card using the options menu in your "My Pictures" section.
3. Plug the phone into the computer using the data/charge USB cable
4. If the phone wants to sync just hit "End."
5. Open Menu/Settings & Tools/Tools/USB Mass Storage
6. Viola, you can browse the contents of your microSD and remove the pics.
My mistake was I was looking in Menu/Settings & Tools/USB Mode to try and get the pics from the card. This activates the Sync mode, which is only for music, not pics.

Just one thing I can't confirm. Does the bottom USB port have a slide dust cover like my SGS does?Looking at pics seems its just open and exposed. I know if i leave the cover open on my SGS it soon fills up with dust pretty quick!

just got a samsung galaxy sII yesterday after updating from a htc incredible s..(which i found to be incredibily s**t). so far the samsung seems to be a nice phone. easy to use and very fast. theres only one thing thats causing me a bit of frustration, and thats that i cant seem to make my contacts appear with their profil pics in my message inbox next to their conversation threads. they all appear with the default silhouette. i've synced my facebook contacts with my phone contacts and done it both through the facebook app and the social hubb app. my background data and auto sync are activated aswell. i've tried using an app called syncmypix and that didn't work either. when a contact calls me their picture comes up, but im my messages their pics dont appear. i just got off the phone with a samsung representative and they told me i had to merge my contacts with my google account. so i did but this still didnt work, and then they told me its probably a problem with my network provider, which i think was just an attempt by them to get rid of me

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5/ Android 5.0/knox v 2.3
While adjusting my settings in Knox I switched to folder view, which has completely changed the knox environment. The main thing I now find is I can no longer toggle in and out of the knox container using the notifications area that you swipe down from the top of the screen, unless there is a specific notification, ie a new email.
The option within the Knox settings that I used to switch to folder view is no longer visible - the settings seem to have changed ( and more to the point, I can't remember the exact option) so I can't switch back.
Is there any easy fix to either add a toggle into the notifications area to enter/leave the knox container, or preferably to switch back from the folder view organisational structure to the standard environment that I assume is there by default?

I got a brand new Samsung Galaxy S5 a week ago. Well I have that little problem with it that whenever I download a pic from for example Google or Hangouts I don't have the -Downloads- folder in my gallery. They do not show up anywhere except if I go to "My files - internal memory - downloads" but nowhere in the gallery. In the gallery I chose the option to show every pic which is saved to the device but they don't show up only camera photos, screenshots. Nothing else.

Galaxy SII will not find pictures in the DCIM/Camera folder on the SD card after I have had the phone hooked up to USB. It will find all the other pictures on the phone. They are still on the phone just cannot be seen by any of the programs on the phone.

I have a HTC Hero working on metro with voice,text and web some apps work but some do not.
most work through wifi. does anyone have any ideas about mms and getting all apps to work through network vs wifi. there is a guy in Hamtramk who has supposedly gotten everything working through metro. for about $100 he will take my phone and add mms.

I know i know i have seen so many threads on internet with steps on how to unlock the samsung gio.. I looked thru it so many times but not being tech saavy can honestly say i cant do it.. So i started to look online to see how much to unlock and all i found ranged from 35 to 50..i used to unlock other phones for cheaper in the past...Ps i dont have paypal .. I bought a LG Dare (vx9700) from a friend. I have the metropcs network. I took it to a store and they where able to flash it and get voice and text. I later got the internet working thanks to this wonderful site. I never got MMS working but did not care to at the time. I could always receive MMS, i just could not send them. Considering the fact that i was so successful getting the internet to work, i figured i would give MMS another shot. I found a tutorial on how to get the MMS working through LGDownload, I only edited the MMS tab then i wrote the new config to the phone. However when the phone rebooted, I had nothing, no voice, no text, and no internet. Is there anyone on here that can help me or that is going throught the same problem?
