can I delete "thumbnail" pics/files at DCIM folder? Before no other folder available inthere other that the dcim, now maybe due to image or camera app, it added some folders. I assume this is for the "fish eye" app. I have all these files in my image folder. Would I have a problem if I remove it? I want to remove to free up some RAM/spaces.
View 2 RepliesI am using Windows 10. I have installed the latest Google USB drivers - downloaded and installed from here: [URL] ..... When I plug in, my device is detected, which proves that the drivers are installed.
1) When I touch the Photo Transfer option (PTP), I only get the DCIM and Pictures folder. If I open the DCIM folder, I see thumbnails of all my images. Some thumbnails show the actual image as well. However, when I open them, I get the following error: [URL] .....
2) When I touch the File Transfer option (MTP), I can open the DCIM folder, and I can see all the thumbnails, but I get the same error as above. [URL] .....
In short, I am unable to open any JPEG files created by my Nexus 6P camera on my laptop. I copied the JPEGs to my Desktop, and I tried to open the files, and surprise - I am STILL getting the SAME error!
The error is "Windows cannot find "". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
I am able to open TEXT files, and other audio files from my device. It's only the images I have this error with.
I'm trying to copy photos from my iphone to my PC using Windows Explorer, and some of the sub-folders only contain "local disk" items.

I have a 64GB microSD in my Nokia 808 Belle FP2.. I recently went on vacation and after about 600 pictures taken, I got an error that my micro SD card memory was full, and it auto switched the save location to my mass memory.I have plenty of memory free on my micro SD card still.Is there a picture or file limit in the DCIM folder?

Once I transfer them to the PC, I cannot zoom in on them at all as they lose all clarity completely. I can only imagine that the problem is the phone somehow saving the pics as thumnails rather than as they used to save.The pics used to store in DCIM/100media.They now appear to save in DCIM/thumbnails.

Now when I go to galleries on my phone, there are error signs on some of the images. When I try and go back to the DCIM folder, the folder I renamed (as well as the 100Media folder where it stored all my pictures) is gone. Is there any way to get it back?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs we all know, iOS4 folders function so that they display their contents as tiny little thumbnails. You can change the folder icon, BUT, it still shows the app thumbnails on top of that. What I'd like to do is have folder icons and no thumbnails, so that you can essentially get the same result as you would using the Categories app (being able to pick your own folder icon), except without the hassle of using a now-obsolete functionality. So, in essence, let's say you have an icon of a game controller/joystick. I want that to be my icon for my "games" folder. I keep the stylish icon with no thumbnails, but when I tap it, it opens up like a regular folder.
I assume that this would involve changing the way folders function within Springboard itself (not as simple as replacing a few files here and there). Have any developers made an add-on that disables folder thumbnails, or does anyone here know how one would go about doing that?

Am looking for any insight on how to clear thumbnails of pictures/videos from my gallery that have already been deleted off my phone. I have already tried powering off/on my phone, removing/replacing my battery and unmounting/remounting SD card. Have also tried going to Settings> Applications> Gallery and then clearing the data to see if it would reset the gallery but the thumbnails remain. Also went to the Gallery> All photos (and All videos)> Menu> Select Items and checked the photos and videos I wanted removed and then tried to delete them again but still the thumbnails remain.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title says all my images and videos are now no longer within the captured folder when you go into photo's, I have tried deleting all of the _PAlbTN folders, also factory reset the device, still nothing there, any ideas on what I can do to get these back in the captured folder?Otherwise it seems a pointless feature if every firmware update you lose all the data captured over the months since the last update, I have also tried copying all in the camera album over to the PC and put back onto the phone mass memory.It's doing my head in now, I have trawled the forums to find information but nothing.
