Samsung :: Messenger - Instinct Metro PCS - Lock Code Under Menu
Jul 22, 2010
i have been looking for the lock code under Menu> 3 > * > lock code:=? i have tried 450667 but it will not work! does anyone have a list of the codes? another thing i have a Sprint Samsung instinct that i just flashed over to metro i fixed the web and now need to fix the mms. if i could get into that menu in my messenger it would show me the settings.
Im wondering if anybody knows what the new code is since verizon got rid of the 000000 program code. Trying to do something about disabling the camera as it comes on on its own and takes pictures and kills the battery
Would someone please post the code to get into the service menu on the Samsung Freeform SCH R350. Sorry if someone has already posted this elsewhere because I was having trouble finding it.
I've lost the 4 digit user selected security lock code which is required to reset the phone.Virgin says Samsung should help recover the code and Samsung says Virgin should help recover the code.A while back, I found a code on the web that allowed me to go into a service menu which listed among other things the lock code. I can't find any information on how to get back into that menu.
By the way, yes, I tried the last 4 digits of the phone number, 0000, 9999, 1234.If anyone knows how to get into the service menu on this phone
The only codes I've found so far are:##786# which gets into an info menu but doesn't have the lock code.##33284# which requires a 6-digit security code which I don't know.
A couple years ago my wife bought a Samsung Instinct M810. I flashed the phone to Verizon so she could use PagePlus. Everything has been working fine but the phone has really been beaten up. About the only thing that still works is the speed dial function.
A few days ago I found another Instinct in mint condition for her. I have been trying to flash it to Verizon with limited luck. I activated the phone with PagePlus and received a phone number ( I was planning on porting her number when I had everything working). The phone connects to Verizon but it can't connect to OTP. If I dial a number I get connected to Verizon with the message "Welcome to Verizon, unfortunately we cannot identify your phone, etc."
The problem is that when I dial *22890 (or any *228xx number)the signal bars vanish and there is an indicator showing no service and the call is dropped. After the call is dropped the signal returns and I can again connect to Verizon. I have tried several PRL's, even the one on my wife's current phone but it doesn't make any difference. I didn't have this much trouble with her other phone so I am at a loss.
I got the unlock code, entered it into my Samsung and it said personalization canceled but when I put in my Fido Sim Card it says sim lock. I tried all types of 0 codes, 0000 00000 000000 00000000 and none of them worked. What should I do?
I recently started playing around with this phone and at some point enabled the phone lock. I have had it for quite some time and at some point imputed a lock code that I do not remember at all. I have tried every code that I think it would have been to no avail. Is there any way to get past this or am I screwed? I mean there has to be a way to reset the phone so I can use it!
i had this phone for a while, and I work on a farm so the screen got scratched cuz i didnt take good enouch care of the phone, so i bough a replacement touch screen off of ebay and received it, so i got the phone apart and installed it only to turn my phone back on and find out i cant get any signal watsoever, why i cant get any signal
I have a Samsung Instinct flashed to Verizon wireless, I was wondering how i could get internet working on it? I see in other forums that people got metropcs internet on this phone so it shouldnt be too hard to put verizon on here right?
Seems sprint's drivers page will not give up the drivers anymore. Can some email me or point out where I could find the USB drivers? I have the mass storage one but I need the other.
I followed the instructions on how to flash my Instinct over to the Cricket network. http://ucanflash.com/samsung-instinct-S30.html
Now the only issue I am having is registering my ESN to their network in order to use it. I am somewhat confused as to how I am supposed to do so. I called the customer service number provided on their web site and asked the young lady what I needed to do in order to use my phone on their network. She really didn't understand what I was asking, but she did promptly try to sell me a new package with a free phone. I need some clarification on this subject in order to finish the setting up of this phone.
I stopped at the part where you have to change your ESN: "After changing your SPC code to six zeros "000000" and writing the new Cricket PRL on to the phone, do the ESN change through Cricket (ESN = Electronic Serial Number)". I want my daughter to be able to use this phone since it has given me such good service since I have had it for almost a year. I know they do work on the Cricket network because I have done my research, but I need some input from those of you who have inside information on how the process works with the activation of the phone.
I have a instinct that has a power button that doesn't work. I looked inside the phone and the mini ribbon with the 2 traces was damaged. Is there any way to replace that, or where to get a replacement ribbon?
I bought an Instinct M800 from Ebay and it came with a "user locked password" and the seller doesn't seem to remember what it is. The MEID is clean so I don't believe it to be stolen. My problem is, how do I remove the password? I've tried for hours entering random 4 digit passwords and nothing so far. I ended up buying a data cable for the phone but I can't seem to get the phone to load/connect with Vista, be it a driver issue, or because the phone is locked.
I have been using google and this forum's seach feature to try to get the answer to my question, but I've read different things and ended up confused.First of all, I have unlocked my Spring Samsung and uploaded the 01040 Cricket PRL and it seems to be working because when I dial 611 I get a message from Cricket. Over the air programming doesn't seem to work when dialing *228, and from reading threads I am guessing I will have to do it manually.I am confused as to at what step do I call Cricket Customer service to get some info I need. Plus, from reading another topic someone said I need to get the min#, mdn#, and sid# http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...nstinct-please from Cricket CS, is this correct? Or what info do I need to ask Cricket CS in order to continue to QPST configuration?
I am assisting a good friend of mine with flashing his Instinct to Metro. His Instinct went down and he bought another on ebay. I am trying to save him a few dollars as he has a lot on his plate with his mortgage and all. I owned an Instinct at one time so I am familiar with the "debug menu" etc. I am also pretty tech savvy and am always tweaking my devices...however have never flashed a phone. I understand I may need QTSP...If you have a link for download it would be appreciated. If you have a link to a step by step or could pass on instructions it would be greatly appreciated.
I have a samsung finesse for metro pcs and I am trying to sawp the esn with my moto hint. I bought a samsung finesse of of craigslist and the phone turned out to be on the bill not paid list . hi guys i bought a new samsung metro s3310. i kinda have problems with the java in it. i installed a oxford dictionary (java)(from mobiles24.com) in that mobile. but that dictionary application works kind a different. wen i installed the same application in nokia and sony ericcson mobile (the left softkey is for selecting a word, right softkey is for deleting a character). but in samsung metro (left softkey is for selecting a word, right softkey is exit). so i very difficult to handle this kinda applications in this mob. there is similar kinda problem in other java applications also. how to rectify this kinda problem.
I have not had my blackberry curve very long but I seem to have lost half of my messenger menu options. I can no longer invite people to join and only have the group options available. How to restore my menu?
i've been searching all over the internet for the userlock code for the Samsung Freeform III, it's not the one it usually is for MetroPCS. i would like to get into the settings and be able to download mp3's and images via the web browser, and even possibly tether via USB or Bluetooth. If anyone knows this code, or can help me figure out what it is. That would be great.
When I lock my SGS II i would expect all the buttons to lock! However the power button function remain active and its far too easy to accidently power off my phone or set it into flight mode.Does anyone know how to disable this "feature" ??
I have a Samsung Code from MetroPCS. I am running Windows Mobile 6.5. I have searched everywhere and can not find my 16 digit security code. I can tell you it is not the following codes.
