After about an hour of searching I think I finally Found the right USB drivers, and I haven't tried it yet but from past experience. Anyway I am assuming That I could use PC Studio to connect it to my PC, What else do I need to know, any advice would help out. Its on sprints network right now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought an Instinct M800 from Ebay and it came with a "user locked password" and the seller doesn't seem to remember what it is. The MEID is clean so I don't believe it to be stolen. My problem is, how do I remove the password? I've tried for hours entering random 4 digit passwords and nothing so far. I ended up buying a data cable for the phone but I can't seem to get the phone to load/connect with Vista, be it a driver issue, or because the phone is locked.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been using google and this forum's seach feature to try to get the answer to my question, but I've read different things and ended up confused.First of all, I have unlocked my Spring Samsung and uploaded the 01040 Cricket PRL and it seems to be working because when I dial 611 I get a message from Cricket. Over the air programming doesn't seem to work when dialing *228, and from reading threads I am guessing I will have to do it manually.I am confused as to at what step do I call Cricket Customer service to get some info I need. Plus, from reading another topic someone said I need to get the min#, mdn#, and sid# http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...nstinct-please from Cricket CS, is this correct? Or what info do I need to ask Cricket CS in order to continue to QPST configuration?

I am trying to save him a few dollars as he has a lot on his plate with his mortgage and all. I owned an Instinct at one time so I am familiar with the "debug menu" etc. I am also pretty tech savvy and am always tweaking my devices...however have never flashed a phone. Unfortunately I'm travelling to europe in a few days and I'm going to buy a SIM there. I don't really want to run the risk of the unlock code not working, or me losing the code, so I was hoping to be able to unlock it without having a SIM to another network. Is that possible? If not, if I were to borrow someone else's sim and insert it and then enter my unlock code (I presume it comes up right away if I try and boot to a locked network?), does that mean that it's unlocked for any other SIMs that I put in my phone later?

Unfortunately, it is locked to the O2 network and I need it on the orange network.Learning via google, I have rooted the phone, and tried the 'Galaxy S2 sim unlock' application to find the unlock code but it came back with the following message 'cannot find unlock code' Just wondering is there something I have done wrong? View 4 Replies View Relatedmy brother has an S2 with out-of-the-box, custom ROM, not ever flashed or rooted, etc. He has just been told he has to work in Spain for the forseeable futre but wants to come home at weekends. He also wants to keep his S2.
If he roots and flashes his phone, will he be able to buy a Spanish SIM from any Spanish network for use in Spain, and just replace it with his own SIM when he comes back here? In other words, does a root and flash of a phone make it fully internationally unlocked so that he doesn't get any extra charges from either Spanish or UK networks?
