LG :: How To Flash Dare To Metro PCs?

I bought a LG Dare (vx9700) from a friend. I have the metropcs network. I took it to a store and they where able to flash it and get voice and text. I later got the internet working thanks to this wonderful site. I never got MMS working but did not care to at the time. I could always receive MMS, i just could not send them. Considering the fact that i was so successful getting the internet to work, i figured i would give MMS another shot. I found a tutorial on how to get the MMS working through LGDownload, I only edited the MMS tab then i wrote the new config to the phone. However when the phone rebooted, I had nothing, no voice, no text, and no internet. Is there anyone on here that can help me or that is going throught the same problem?

Hey there I am trying to use my LG Dare phone on the straight talk network... the straight talk network uses the verizon network but its sold though walmart and there is like 6 phones you can buy. I have used the search feature and been unable to find any information on this so if it is posted elsewhere I apologize. I have a Verizon Razr V3m that I would like to flash to Metro PCS. I am completely new to this process and need very easy to follow directions on how to do this. I do have slightly better than average computer skills so have a good understanding of how to do things.
Basically I need to know what program is best to download to do this, what the steps are to complete the process and what I should know before I start, ie: how to back up files from the phone that I am flashing, which files to back up, etc.

My lg dare is locked and I have no idea what the password is.I tried to *228 the phone but when I do, it tells me to choose option 1 2 or 3 and there is no dialpad for me to choose the number. How do you get the dialpad to appear?

I have a HTC Hero working on metro with voice,text and web some apps work but some do not.
most work through wifi. does anyone have any ideas about mms and getting all apps to work through network vs wifi. there is a guy in Hamtramk who has supposedly gotten everything working through metro. for about $100 he will take my phone and add mms.

i have a lg dare and when I connected the phone by USB it said I need a CD-ROM. Im guessing a cd that comes with this phone. The phone is already flashed to metro pcs. CAn anyone help me out here?

I cannot put it any better than that. I flashed it with a prl, directly after an upgrade to the newest Verizon firmware from a 4 button-into-emergency-mode. Laptop battery died (lesson taught, and well noted), And powie. Wont power on, wont go into Emergency mode. Charger, USB Wire, nothing makes any movement, sound, nothing.. bricked. Tried numerous batteries & cords. I have 5 of these and would like to get them out of my hair. I am not attempting to sell them on here, rather just any ideas on how to get these repaired.. if possible.

I have been having an issue with pitpim lately. trying to get my photos off of my phone bitpim will constantly freeze and not respond. i have to close it and start it up again and again and usually eventually the photos will get copied to my computer before it freezes if i am lucky. I upgraded to 1.7 and it still does the same thing. I tried different usb ports and it still does the same thing. I cleaned a bunch of photos and videos off to try to lessen the load that pitpim has to transfer. And nothing works.

I need to recover deleted files from the phone's internal memory (not the SD card), using data recovery software. Normally, any drive/card/internal camera flash memory/GSM phone internal memory simply shows up in windows explorer as a flash or hard drive- but i have been unable to read this or other CDMA phopne's internal memory (unless i use BITPIM- which dosen't allow me to run my recovery software).

I just bought a new lcd screen to replace the cracked one in my LG Dare, and after putting it in place and reassembling my phone I found that when I turn it on all I see is a dark screen. It has a glow so I think the lcd must be working, but there is no picture, there is no crack, nothing. I've taken it apart again and checked all the connectors and still nothing. Am I missing something or could the new screen be faulty?

I've got a bit of a problem with my LG Dare. My LG dare will not connect to my computer, it's not in device manager and it's not in QPST. Right now, I can access the filesystem over bluetooth.The cable is not the problem -- I can use it in my droid, BB storm and in my other dare. The only thing my dare will do with the cable is charge.
Software: VX970V6
Doesn't recognize in download mode either.

I have an LG Dare and I'm having problems with my Bluetooth MAC address. The MAC address is currently set to 00:00:00:00:00:00.So each time I try to use my bluetooth (just turning the power on) I am given a warning that the Bluetooth MAC address is not set. Since I have no MAC for my Dare I cannot even do a simple OBEX push. I am not sure how this happened(I drink alot) but really would like to fix so I can use the BT features.I've been searching the net high and low for a solution and it seems I'm the only one with this problem.I chose to post this issue here under LG Forum vs. the Bluetooth Forum b/c most all the talk was headset specific and not handset related.

Not being a phone guru I have no idea how this happened. When calls come in, the ringtone no longer works. Instead, the phone announces by voice either the person, if in the phone book, or the number. Ex. "Call from xxxx".Yet the sound settings are set for the ringtone. It's possible when the phone was unlocked in the pouch (wouldn't be the first time) something was set randomly. Who knows. In any event, I need the ringtone working.

I am SUPER new to phone flashing, so please bear with me. I have an HTC AT&T Tilt 2...BUT I also have a MetroPCS phone.
1: How do I flash my AT&T Tilt 2 to work on MetroPCS Network? (and if this is on another forum or thread, please be nice and tell me where)
2: Is there anyway to "transfer" my existing MetroPCS number to my flashed Tilt 2 when it is done?
I am located in San Fran Bay Area if I need to take it to an expert to do so, but if it is possible to do on my own.

I just unlocked my Dare's web Browser for PP. Now my question is how can i get Mobile Email and VZNavigator? Every time i launch either of these applications, i get an error that says "Upgrade Check is not available. (0)" i also have another dilemma. It's not that big of a deal, but it might have a fix. Everytime i start my Browser, it goes to MSN homepage, yet i have google as my homepage on my browser and on the WAP settings homepage. It also redirects here sometimes when ever i "click" on a link. A fix for this is greatly apprciated.

I know that some third party apps wont work with a flashed phone. But what i cant seem to setup is personal email. I go to setup wizard and go to email setup and i get to the part that says if i have a password for the enterprise activation. And that's as far as i get, cause obviously i don't have a password and this phone is for personal use not business use. Any and all help is appreciated.
