I need to recover deleted files from the phone's internal memory (not the SD card), using data recovery software. Normally, any drive/card/internal camera flash memory/GSM phone internal memory simply shows up in windows explorer as a flash or hard drive- but i have been unable to read this or other CDMA phopne's internal memory (unless i use BITPIM- which dosen't allow me to run my recovery software).

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is for my father-in-law's phone. He has just basic service, so no text or data plan. Bitpim doesn't appear to support it and I cannot find a USB driver for it. The phone does not currently have Kies installed (I don't even know if it is supported on this phone). And he can't install new applications because he has no data plan. Is he pretty much out of luck or is there some alternate way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI cannot put it any better than that. I flashed it with a prl, directly after an upgrade to the newest Verizon firmware from a 4 button-into-emergency-mode. Laptop battery died (lesson taught, and well noted), And powie. Wont power on, wont go into Emergency mode. Charger, USB Wire, nothing makes any movement, sound, nothing.. bricked. Tried numerous batteries & cords. I have 5 of these and would like to get them out of my hair. I am not attempting to sell them on here, rather just any ideas on how to get these repaired.. if possible.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been having an issue with pitpim lately. trying to get my photos off of my phone bitpim will constantly freeze and not respond. i have to close it and start it up again and again and usually eventually the photos will get copied to my computer before it freezes if i am lucky. I upgraded to 1.7 and it still does the same thing. I tried different usb ports and it still does the same thing. I cleaned a bunch of photos and videos off to try to lessen the load that pitpim has to transfer. And nothing works.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new lcd screen to replace the cracked one in my LG Dare, and after putting it in place and reassembling my phone I found that when I turn it on all I see is a dark screen. It has a glow so I think the lcd must be working, but there is no picture, there is no crack, nothing. I've taken it apart again and checked all the connectors and still nothing. Am I missing something or could the new screen be faulty?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a LG Dare (vx9700) from a friend. I have the metropcs network. I took it to a store and they where able to flash it and get voice and text. I later got the internet working thanks to this wonderful site. I never got MMS working but did not care to at the time. I could always receive MMS, i just could not send them. Considering the fact that i was so successful getting the internet to work, i figured i would give MMS another shot. I found a tutorial on how to get the MMS working through LGDownload, I only edited the MMS tab then i wrote the new config to the phone. However when the phone rebooted, I had nothing, no voice, no text, and no internet. Is there anyone on here that can help me or that is going throught the same problem?

Right now, I can access the filesystem over bluetooth.The cable is not the problem -- I can use it in my droid, BB storm and in my other dare. The only thing my dare will do with the cable is charge.

The MAC address is currently set to 00:00:00:00:00:00.So each time I try to use my bluetooth (just turning the power on) I am given a warning that the Bluetooth MAC address is not set. Since I have no MAC for my Dare I cannot even do a simple OBEX push. I am not sure how this happened(I drink alot) but really would like to fix so I can use the BT features.I've been searching the net high and low for a solution and it seems I'm the only one with this problem.I chose to post this issue here under LG Forum vs. the Bluetooth Forum b/c most all the talk was headset specific and not handset related.

Instead, the phone announces by voice either the person, if in the phone book, or the number. Ex. "Call from xxxx".Yet the sound settings are set for the ringtone. It's possible when the phone was unlocked in the pouch (wouldn't be the first time) something was set randomly. Who knows. In any event, I need the ringtone working.

Every time i launch either of these applications, i get an error that says "Upgrade Check is not available. (0)" i also have another dilemma. It's not that big of a deal, but it might have a fix. Everytime i start my Browser, it goes to MSN homepage, yet i have google as my homepage on my browser and on the WAP settings homepage. It also redirects here sometimes when ever i "click" on a link. A fix for this is greatly apprciated.

The normal videos and pictures dont come out good either.Anyone else have these issues? Any suggestions on how to clean the camera lens?Another issue is I had an Env2 think the vx9200 that had my ringtones and music on a memory card.I put that same card into the Dare and I can't set my sounds as a ringtone.The ones under 30 seconds I can but not the full songs like I could on the Evn. Is there a certain setting or specific way to use sounds for ringtones and alerts?
View 1 Replies View Relatedover the last few days my dare's touch screen has been acting up. first it was making random touches, i figured there is a pocket of air underneath the screen. now the screen is not responsive at all, it does not feel like the screen has been pushed at all it is like its completely solid underneath the touch screen. the display itself is fine, so i don't think the lcd is the issue.
there also seems to be a spot underneath the display on the left side (see picture) that has been expanding since the problem started. again i don't know if its air or moisture. any suggestions? i have seen both oem lcds and digitizers on ebay for around $15, which is more likely the cause of the problem?i can't draw too well with the touchpad on my laptop but the white thing is supposed to be an arrow pointing to what i'm talking about.
The clock (world clock I assume) disappears from the main screen when there is no reception. How do I change it to local clock so I get time 24/7?
