I would like to know how to minimize or suspend the browser and or turn off the screen and touch screen while a web page is open.I have yet to figure out how to turn off the screen without closing the browser down.I did google and search hofo and another big forum.
View 1 Repliesover the last few days my dare's touch screen has been acting up. first it was making random touches, i figured there is a pocket of air underneath the screen. now the screen is not responsive at all, it does not feel like the screen has been pushed at all it is like its completely solid underneath the touch screen. the display itself is fine, so i don't think the lcd is the issue.
there also seems to be a spot underneath the display on the left side (see picture) that has been expanding since the problem started. again i don't know if its air or moisture. any suggestions? i have seen both oem lcds and digitizers on ebay for around $15, which is more likely the cause of the problem?i can't draw too well with the touchpad on my laptop but the white thing is supposed to be an arrow pointing to what i'm talking about.
I just unlocked my Dare's web Browser for PP. Now my question is how can i get Mobile Email and VZNavigator? Every time i launch either of these applications, i get an error that says "Upgrade Check is not available. (0)" i also have another dilemma. It's not that big of a deal, but it might have a fix. Everytime i start my Browser, it goes to MSN homepage, yet i have google as my homepage on my browser and on the WAP settings homepage. It also redirects here sometimes when ever i "click" on a link. A fix for this is greatly apprciated.

When I turn the screen off, or when the phone turns the screen off after one minute, it shortly turns back on again. The only thing that will fix this for about two days or so, is a battery pull. View 8 Replies View RelatedI just got a BlackBerry Bold 9700 from AT&T and I updated the BB Messenger to version 5.0.0.57. While I'm trying to add my friends PIN who lives in the same area as I am it's working. However, I have some friends in Thailand when I added their PIN they received my request and they did accepted it but the contact still on pending. I already try it many times it still on pending.
Moreover, during group chat my friends in Thailand can see my messages but I can't see their messages. Is there any possible explaination to this problem?
I've recently updated my 9700 OS to 6 and am having tons of problems with it now. My phone is now very slow, sometimes it freezes up and my phone calls won't come in. Every once in awhile my screen won't turn on even though I have not turned off my phone and the only way to start it back up is to pull the battery. I also get a message saying my application memory is low and I've never had this problem before nor have I downloaded any new 3rd party apps.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently picked up a bold 9700 and signed up for a data plan in hopes of trying to use the bbm. but for some weird reason, bbm cannot work. when i tried to add a friend, status says pending for authorisation. is there a way for me to make use of bbm on this lost and found smartphone since i have already signed up for a data plan? like maybe reboot the entire os or change for a new pin?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new lcd screen to replace the cracked one in my LG Dare, and after putting it in place and reassembling my phone I found that when I turn it on all I see is a dark screen. It has a glow so I think the lcd must be working, but there is no picture, there is no crack, nothing. I've taken it apart again and checked all the connectors and still nothing. Am I missing something or could the new screen be faulty?

After it shut off and I plugged my blackerry in to charge up, I couldn't get the phone to turn back on. I popped the battery in and out of the back hoping for a reboot and nothing. I left it plugged in over night. When I tried to turn it back on this morning it still wouldn't turn on. I popped the battery in and out of the back yet again and finally it booted back up, but without a charge in the phone whatsoever even though it had been plugged in over night.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I recently have been having problems with my phone and its screen not turning on. Its the original droid and I guess alot have people have had this problem. But I am at a fork in the road:(this is the thrid time the screen has done this)Last night I went to check my phone and it appeared to be off, my power button does not work so I have to plug it in to turn it on. But the charger light was on so that meant the phone was already on. the buttons lit up still as well. Being this is not the first time I took the battery out for about an hour and put it back in, plugged it in, and still nothing. The M sign that comes up when you first turn it on doesen't appear and neither does anything else on the screen. But when i recieved a call I could answer the call like the screen was working but still was not on. I left the battery out all night from 8pm-6am and still nothing but i can still answer the calls. Left it out until 2 this afternoon and still nothing. I have no idea what to do.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI cannot put it any better than that. I flashed it with a prl, directly after an upgrade to the newest Verizon firmware from a 4 button-into-emergency-mode. Laptop battery died (lesson taught, and well noted), And powie. Wont power on, wont go into Emergency mode. Charger, USB Wire, nothing makes any movement, sound, nothing.. bricked. Tried numerous batteries & cords. I have 5 of these and would like to get them out of my hair. I am not attempting to sell them on here, rather just any ideas on how to get these repaired.. if possible.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been having an issue with pitpim lately. trying to get my photos off of my phone bitpim will constantly freeze and not respond. i have to close it and start it up again and again and usually eventually the photos will get copied to my computer before it freezes if i am lucky. I upgraded to 1.7 and it still does the same thing. I tried different usb ports and it still does the same thing. I cleaned a bunch of photos and videos off to try to lessen the load that pitpim has to transfer. And nothing works.

Normally, any drive/card/internal camera flash memory/GSM phone internal memory simply shows up in windows explorer as a flash or hard drive- but i have been unable to read this or other CDMA phopne's internal memory (unless i use BITPIM- which dosen't allow me to run my recovery software).

I later got the internet working thanks to this wonderful site. I never got MMS working but did not care to at the time. I could always receive MMS, i just could not send them. Considering the fact that i was so successful getting the internet to work, i figured i would give MMS another shot. I found a tutorial on how to get the MMS working through LGDownload, I only edited the MMS tab then i wrote the new config to the phone. However when the phone rebooted, I had nothing, no voice, no text, and no internet. Is there anyone on here that can help me or that is going throught the same problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a bit of a problem with my LG Dare. My LG dare will not connect to my computer, it's not in device manager and it's not in QPST. Right now, I can access the filesystem over bluetooth.The cable is not the problem -- I can use it in my droid, BB storm and in my other dare. The only thing my dare will do with the cable is charge.

Doesn't recognize in download mode either.
When I am on the home screen and hold down the menu key, I see the browser is running. I close it everytime and even went to applications and closed it there. Is the browser always supposed to run?
View 14 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry has worked fine in the couple of months i have had it, however a few weeks ago the browser and bbm completely stopped working. i took the battery and sim out and then when i put them back in it worked fine again.a few days ago the same thing happened, i tried taking the sim out again and it didnt work, have done it a few times. i rang o2 and they suggested putting it on to manual network and try connecting again, have also done this a few times and it still hasnt worked. i have the right plan and pay to get unlimited browsing, it usually is fine but stopped working randomly.
