I rooted my phone some while back in order to do backup. Now I need to restore to original - completely. I have the USB key/dongle if that matters. Are there any easy step-by-step how-to that describes the process to restore so that the phone isn't rootet and there is no programs left that isn't original?
View 9 RepliesI have Gingerbread UGKG2. When I first started swyping I'll admit I didn't really know what I was doing. I'd correct a word and if it said "would you like to add 'es' to the dictionary" (or whatever I had typed in) I just said yes. Now it keeps putting in these non-words and I can't get rid of them. I've seen the threads where people point out where the dictionary is found in other O/S's but not this one. I've also seen people post that you just highlight the word and you'll have the option of deleting it from the dictionary, no so on my phone..

My Samsung s5 keeps reverting back to the original screen wallpaper. Is starting to really tick me off. The ones that will last for a month or two then it goes right back sometimes they last less than that. Also my apps keep disappearing on the home screens. The app pages I create.

I accidently deleted the full contents of the "Camera" folder.ll the photos and video that I had taken in the last 2 months were lost. I have a iphone 3gs 3.1.2 MC model that was jailbroken via tethered blackra1n. The problem is now when i try to restore to original firmware the phone resets and gets to that itunes connect screen (which is probably caused by blackra1n tethered jailbreak). The only way i can get out of that screen is to rejailbreak by blackrain because itunes will only allow me the option of restoring and updating to 3.1.3 which will screw me over for a unlock .How can i restore my firmware to a clean 3.1.2 without dealing with the connect to itunes freeze and not upgrading to 3.1.3?

If I turn my phone off and want to turn it back on I cannot regardless of the battery level of the phone. I keep getting the exclamation mark start screen whenever I try after turning my phone off.

However if I turn the phone off and plug in the charger I have no problem at all.
I put a custom ROM on my GS2 for the first time, it involved updating a kernel.
However I really don't like the custom rom I installed and now I want to go back to the stock ROM but with the samsung stuff froze/removed.
I'm not sure where to download the stock ROM's from and I'm not sure if I need to change the kernels again.
I have connected my SGS2 to Kies in my laptop. Then I quit from Kies and started using my phone (leaving my phone charging via USB). Now, when I start Kies once again, it says device not connected and my phone is not is Kies mode. If I replug my USB at either end (laptop or mobile) it goes to Kies mode and connecting fine.
My doubt here is, how do I reconnect to Kies in laptop without replug my USB, once after I quit from Kies mode in my phone.
Is there any way I can tell my phone to go to Kies mode?
Recently I changed phone from sony x8 to Samsung Galaxy min, but before I changed phone, I did backup for all contacts, apps, etc.The backup file from Sony X8 is .sbf file and cannot restore into Samsung Galaxy mini even though both phone are Android.or can I download software that runs .sbf file on my computer to get all contacts?

1) Would a factory reset do it? (I'm guessing factory defaults would only reset settings and not removing applications, right?)
2) Would doing a firmware update do it? there is nothing to backup on my phone, so this is not a problem.
