View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just got my SGS2 and I am wondering if there is apps out there which will automate settings such as: when at work Wifi is off, silent mode,screen in the lowest brightness, Data from SIMcard is activated when I get home (knowing my location), WIFI is switched on, brightness auto, data connection from SIM Card is off, etc.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my SG2 to ICS v4.0.3 last night, and everything went smoothly with no problems to report. Apart from the fact the install seemed to delete 2 of my 3 email accounts that were set up 1 Hotmail account and 1 AOL account.I've set up the Hotmail account no problem, but for some reason I just cannot get the AOL one set up. I input my email address and password and it progresses to the 'retrieving information' screen but then I keep getting the error message Sign in incorrect - The attempt to sign in failed due to an invalid User Name, Password or incorrect settings. Please check blah blah blah....try again blah blah blah Now I've sucessfully logged in to the email account via the internet (just in case I was been a numpty and entering the incorrect password) and the details are all correct. I've even tried changing my password on-line then logging in again on my phone with the new one, but I still get the smae error message. I never had this problem at all with Gingerbread.
Model: GT-I9100

I've tried to increase the volume by going into the service code menu and replacing max volume setting to 100 but still it doesn't seem loud enough.Is there an app available which will increase the earpiece

View 1 Replies View Relatednot long had my s2 and do like it a lot, when trying to use the built in alarm (from going in the clock icon), when ever i try to set time it constantly has the alarm sound as 'good morning' and i am having to set the sound to the sound i want every time i create a new alarm, is there anyway to set the phone up so anytime i create an alarm it will use the sound i want by default?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn the Galaxy S2 even though the ringtone volume is set to max, initially it starts off quietly and gradually increases in volume. Is there any way of changing this to ring at a constant level instead of starting quietly and gradually getting louder - the number of calls I've missed because of it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been having some issues with the phone, some of which I can see from the forum have been affecting other users (digitizer, etc). However, in an attempt to fix the non-responsive screen I re-booted the device to factory settings (advice from EE) and restored the data from off the PC. However, it now seems to sync with my gmail account in preference to my Hotmail and as a result has duplicated all of my contacts. Where do I go to in the BB menus to change the setting back to Hotmail for the sync of organizer and mail?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two hotmail accounts that I receive e-mails from. I was successfully able to add one but not the other. The one that worked is a .com account where as the other is a .ca account. They both used to work just fine on my S3.
I tried the stock e-mail app and g-mail. Neither work. I tried adding it as an Exchange Account, IMAP and POP3. No luck. Tried modifying the connection/server settings, still nothing. Even downloaded a third party app (Nine) but that didn't work either. Nine did however lead me to a tool that told me that the account can't be set up as an exchange although I don't really understand why.
So I've got a galaxy s6 active and every time I type be it a text or browser or whatever, randomly in the auto fill suggestions a hot mail account will pop up. Sometimes it's kind of inappropriate like some kind of dirty email or something. I've never seen these before and I don't look at anything bad on my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPerhaps I'm just not using the right search keywords, but all the instructions I find aren't working. Mostly because my phone doesn't seem to have the same lines that everyone else is listing.
For example, I typically see this -
Profile1 Info
1. Profile Name: T-Mobile GPRS
2. GPRS Setting:
+1. Gateway:
+++1. IP address: 216.155.165.50
+++2. IP port: 9201
+2. APN: wap.voicestream.com
+3. Login ID: anonymous
+4. Password:
+5. APN: wap.voicestream.com
3. Homepage URL: http://wap.myvoicestream.com/
For MMS, I have these from my E635 as well.
MMS Settings
1. Profile Name: T-Mobile USA MMS
2. Server URL: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
3. GSM Setting: (leave blank as mine was)
4. GPRS Setting:
+1. Gateway:
+++1. IP address: 216.155.165.50
+++2. IP port: 9201
+2. APN: wap.voicestream.com
5. Bearer: GPRS only
Then, trying to follow another's step-by-step instructions, I'm still having trouble following along. Here's my step-by-step to the point that I get lost. Open Menu, tap Settings, tap Messaging, scroll down to Messaging Settings, tap Multimedia Message, tap MMS Profiles... and this is where it gets confusing for me. Whether I try to edit one of the preset profiles, or add my own, these are the lines I'm offered to work with:
editing the MEdia Net profile -
Set Name
Access Name
Auth Type
User ID
Password (user ID and PW aren't able to be edited in this profile)
Protocol (either HTTP or WAP)
Home URL
Proxy Address
Linger Time (sec.)
Advanced Settings
And in the Adv Settings, I have -
Static IP (to check, or unckeck, a box)
Local Phone IP (not highlighted, ie, able to be edited)
Static DNS (to check, or uncheck, a box)
Server 1
Server 2 (neither server lines are able to be edited in this profile)
Traffic Class (down arrow sellection, with Subscribed as the only selection available)
And in adding a new profile, everything that was previously unable to be edited, can now be: User ID, Password, Static IP #, and Servers 1 & 2 #'s. I've tried every combination of URLs that I could find:
Home URL - http://216.155.174.84/servelts/mms
Homepage URL - Homepage URL: http://wap.myvoicestream.com
Along with every combination of IP #s that I could find:
216.155.165.50
10.168.200.50
And I'm striking out everywhere. I'm hoping someone understands the babble I've typed in here, and can make sense enough of this to be able to help me. I don't care about getting on the internet with the phone (no data plan), but I just want to be able to send/receive pics and videos.
Does anyone knows the at&t Media Net setting for samsung i8000?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had just about every Galaxy flagship phone in the Samsung series and am certainly not a stranger on setting up accounts.I have 2 hotmail.com email accounts, a business and personal. I tried setting up my personal entering details correctly and I get "authentication failed" ... I jump on a PC and CONFIRM the password I used was indeed correct. I tried setting up the account manually (POP3) which wasn't a problem, however the device has absolutely no interest trying to connect to my account and sync. It keeps telling me the OP3 server is not responding.
I have tried changing my password on the PC to something else. I then re-attempted the email set-up and received the same error...authentication failed. Now, google, gmail, yahoo, aol accounts (etc) ALL work fine. I decided to try the OTHER hotmail account...enter the details and BOOM. It worked. The device is running stock ROM and is rooted (problem also existed before root)

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife I and I just receive brand new Verizon sealed in the box Samsung Omnia I910 phones [1 each]. After several years with Verizon we are really excited about starting new accounts with Page Plus. Can someone here help us set up these phones or at least point us in the right direction. We know next to nothing in this area. I am fairly good at building and servicing computers, but I have never done anything on a phone.
Here are some of my questions:
1. Can we get the GPS to work with Page plus on this Samsung Omnia I910? And if yes, how?
2. Can we get the Internet to work with Page plus on this Samsung Omnia I910? And if yes, how?
3. Can we get at least one of our Verizon phone numbers transferred over to Page Plus, and if yes, how?
4. Should we update our OS [I think it is Windows 6.1 Mobile Pro] and if so, how?
5. How do you recommend we set up this phone? Are there like any special tweaks or mods that are cool yet do not alter the stability of the phone?
6. Is Windows Mobile Pro 6.1 any good [we both had Windows Mobile 5 on our VX 6700's and it was ok, but often very slow and crashed a lot too at times]?
7. Could you please be nice to us [it is our very first time here and we are totally excited about setting these new Samsung Omnia i-910's up right the first time.
