So I've got a galaxy s6 active and every time I type be it a text or browser or whatever, randomly in the auto fill suggestions a hot mail account will pop up. Sometimes it's kind of inappropriate like some kind of dirty email or something. I've never seen these before and I don't look at anything bad on my phone.

For the past few days, old messages from hotmail have started popping up on my blackberry, some over a year old. They do not reappear in my hotmail account, only on my blackberry.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the first time in 6 years of Android phones, I just had an ad pop up in my notifications. It was for the Walgreens drug store app. (An app I do not have installed.)
From googling, it seems it's pushed from an app I have installed, but it should be easy to figure out as I've only installed 2 new apps on this phone that I didn't have on my last phone.
Unfortunately, one of the first things i noticed upon unpacking it is that the screen has some strange gold colored lines in the upper part of the screen.The lines are most visible when bright light is shone onto the screen e.g. a flashlight, lamp or out in the sun. They are most visible on dark colors or when the screen is turned off.It looks as though the lines could be some sort of seem lines between two display pieces that are joined or bonded together. Does Samsung patch the screens together from multiple pieces?I am not really happy about these particular lines that are present in the screen.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to root my SGSII. I downloaded Odin3 v.1.85 and clicked on the .exe file, but i get a pop up in Korean + the English letters ini. When I dismiss the pop-up the Odin3 window flashes on my desktop screen for a split second but won't stay up there permanently for me to finish rooting my phone. What is causing this and how can I fix it? Is there another link to download Odin3 that doesn't have this issue?

Even if the phone is locked and the screen is off, the message pop up unlock the phone and appears for 3-5 seconds and then disappear and the phone get bac to be locked and screen is off.
got an s6 edge and the message "the dock is connected" constantly keeps popping up on the screen. my phone is overheating because of this and its draining my battery.

The phone connects perfectly fine and it says it is connected, but whenever I attempt to use the internet nothing will load at all. The wifi bars are there and are full, but nothing works. In wifi settings it says it is connected. On all of the other desktops, laptops, and mobile devices in the house the same wifi works perfectly fine. So, I have come to the conclusion that it must be something having to do with the phone.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have two hotmail accounts that I receive e-mails from. I was successfully able to add one but not the other. The one that worked is a .com account where as the other is a .ca account. They both used to work just fine on my S3.
I tried the stock e-mail app and g-mail. Neither work. I tried adding it as an Exchange Account, IMAP and POP3. No luck. Tried modifying the connection/server settings, still nothing. Even downloaded a third party app (Nine) but that didn't work either. Nine did however lead me to a tool that told me that the account can't be set up as an exchange although I don't really understand why.
Has anybody had any issues? I try to add a hotmail account to the email setting, add my current details and it would proceed further.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had just about every Galaxy flagship phone in the Samsung series and am certainly not a stranger on setting up accounts.I have 2 hotmail.com email accounts, a business and personal. I tried setting up my personal entering details correctly and I get "authentication failed" ... I jump on a PC and CONFIRM the password I used was indeed correct. I tried setting up the account manually (POP3) which wasn't a problem, however the device has absolutely no interest trying to connect to my account and sync. It keeps telling me the OP3 server is not responding.
I have tried changing my password on the PC to something else. I then re-attempted the email set-up and received the same error...authentication failed. Now, google, gmail, yahoo, aol accounts (etc) ALL work fine. I decided to try the OTHER hotmail account...enter the details and BOOM. It worked. The device is running stock ROM and is rooted (problem also existed before root)
I am trying to get my hotmail to work on new phone keeps saying authentication needed.

I need to change my mac address. I just got my Galaxy S6 last week and I remember that on galaxy S5 I did root my device and used almost all the apps to change my mac address but it never happened.
Is it the same here on S6 ? Or there is a way ? ( I believe always there is a way )
