I got an email from Blackberry today saying that I have to submit my hotmail address and password for verification and that MSN requires this once a year. Is this phishing or real?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy BB ID for my Torch has an email address that is missing a digit.When I reached the maximum login attempts, I tried resetting the password but the BB ID for this device is missing a '1', thus when it sends the reset email, it's sending it to an email that isn't mine. I reset my password for the BB ID I thought was for this device, which includes the '1', but when I try using that BB ID on this phone, it says something like "use the BB ID associated with this device".

View 8 Replies View RelatedI need to reset or retrieve my hotmail password.the setup was easy.but I wanted to change the signature at the bottom of my emails.I managed to do that and set that a copy of the email will be sent to my bb email add everytime I sent one from my hotmail add.it become very annoying though lol.now I want to change it bt it keeps telling me that I must verify my account information.the address is right so it has to be the password.I have tried everything I think I would use and what I normally use bt it doesn't work.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi set up emails on my Blackberry Curve 8900 about a month ago (via BIS) and they've been working fine since then - until yesterday. Yesterday I got an email saying: "Action required:update password!" - there was then some info asking me to go to the BIS page and validate my password before I can receive emails again.
I keep doing this and it keeps saying it has been validated (I am absolutely certain it is the correct password) - but then 1 minute later I get the same email again saying I ned to validate my password. I click the email icon in setup and it's gone back to needing to be validate again?!

I am using a 4G Blackberry Torch 9810 with AT&T. Despite registering my device with my wireless carrier by registering under the host routing table and getting a confirmation message, the AT&T bis site is not recognizing my PIN or IMEI (they are entered correct, the error message is that the device is not registered). I have also tried to integrate the Hotmail account through the mobile.blackberry.com site but get a website error (HTTP Status 500, looks like a Javascript error) when I click on integrate my Hotmail account.
PS: The software vesion is 7.0.0 Bundle 1355.
My Blackberry 8530 has been giving me this error message for 24 hours: "Desktop Email program unable to submit message." It occurs when I try to reply or send a new message from my "Desktop" email. I have done everything that has been recommended--including a complete wipe and reload of Enterprise Activation. The other email program (non exchange/enterprise) on my blackberry works perfectly fine.

I set up a new email address on the server and deleted the old account from my handset.Problem is, I now cannot get the new address to work!!I just get a message saying 'Invalid email address or password...'None of the email addresses on my hosting server will work, I have tried existing addresses, new addresses, resetting passwords, sending service books, re-registering device on network, downgrading devive software, data-wiping, upgrading the devic software... the list goes on!I have contacted my hosting provider and they have confirmed that everything is ok at their end.

Did something change recently on Hotmail's server?I called AT&T today and tried a few things and it looks like my Hotmail messages are coming in faster but still taking at least 5 minutes.My Exchange messages come in a lot faster as expected.Anyone else have this problem?
