My I Phone 5 keeps losing 3G and then loses service. The phone can be laid flat in front of me and I see it go from 3G to GPRS to No Service. I have a new sim and have had the antennae checked and also restored the software. Nothing has worked,
Firstly, I want to state how extremely impressed I am with the Amaze, both in its construction quality, its wonderful screen, very good normal use battery life, and its generally sophisticated and flawless operation. I am very satisfied with my choice. One of the very few problems I have had, is that occasionally, whilst still in city zones with good service, the phone will lose cellular signal, then run the battery flat much more rapidly than usual whilst trying to re-establish service. My first indication of the problem is when I find the phone dead, when it should still have say 80% charge. Remedy is to switch off & pull battery Has anyone had similar experience?I recommend an audible warning when cellular service is lost, so that user can take remedial action before battery goes flat, and so that important incoming calls are not lost. This should be an easily programmable feature for next update.
Sometimes in the middle of listening to online radio, sending photos over gmail, or updating facebook, my phone stops sending/receiving data.I correct this by resetting the phone. What's causing the phone to stop receiving data all of a sudden?
I had one little problem about two weeks after I bought it, where it suddenly froze up and then shut off and wouldn't turn back on for several hours until I connected it to my computer. Over the passed couple of weeks, I've started having trouble with it.It started as just being slow to connect to internet and to place calls, but it has steadily worsened to the point that I am randomly dropping service in places I've never had a problem with before. I keep dropping calls or calls won't go through at all, and the call quality has gone down. Messages also won't go through, and notifications from my apps won't appear. Even in my Facebook app, I'll recieve the red number telling me I have a new notification, but when I touch it, the notifications screen won't refresh. Today, the little "4G" symbol kept changing to the "E" symbol.
this past week (tuesday) I sent my wife a text, and she never received it as of thursday. on thursday I decided to reset my iphone, and after doing so my text messages were then received. however now I'm getting the "no service, and searching" indication on my phone when I'm in the house, and I've never received that before. I've also reset the network, and it still get the same indications. what do I need to do?
I have a Xperia Neo MT15i. Soon after I upgraded with the latest software it started restarting a few seconds after finished booting up. This only happens when I have a SIM-card in it. I've tried different SIM-cards with from different carriers and I get the same issue and the cards work fine in other smartphones. SD card or not makes no difference.I've got the phone back twice from service and they say they are not even able to recreate the problem, so they just upgrade the software and look happy. So today I did a repair in the PC companion, put the SIM card in, went outside, started the phone and it works for a few minutes without restarting. When I go back inside it immediately restarts.I live in a radio shadow, so I have lousy reception at home and I keep losing service. Reception is between 0-1 signal bars inside, but if I go outside I get 2-3.So my theory is that when the phone looses or is unable to reestablish connection to my service it decides to restart to try again.

quite often when I press the power button to just shut the screen off on my Droid X, and then turn it on later, it says that theres no service for a second or two and it then returns to 3g. Is this happening to your Droid X too?
Over the past week, or so, I have been experiencing intermittent losses of data and phone service. This issue has been magnified over the past few days. Initially, I thought it was a result of an early season snowstorm, that more or less, crippled my state (Connecticut), and since I am a power utility engineer, as you can imagine, I have been on the phone quite a bit. As we moved closer to full electric restoration, I am seeing that this isn't an issue brought on by inclement weather, but by a software/hardware glitch.
I have an 8350i on Nextel and i have loaded OS 5 onto it. (a little background incase you arent aware.. Nextel has not yet released OS 5 but SouthernLinc has and ive been using SouthernLincs version of it for the 8350i for about a month or so with NO issues) I really dont want to have to reload my OS back to 4.6 as there are some major upgrades on 5.0 for the 8350i. You guys think it might be that im running OS 5? I also have the "Boostberry" configuration (aka i have a normal nextel data plan instead of a bb plan) ive had this for about 6 months atleast now without any troubles. So 3 times over the week or so ive turned on my device and had it "register with the network" then i go to compose a sms message or place a call and i get service book not found errors. I reload the service books and it works great for a few days then it happens again. You think its because of running Southernlincs OS 5 thats just not causing me issues or any other ideas of what it may be?? I dont want to downgrade back to 4.6 and spend an hour loading everything just to find out that wasnt my issue.
Since i had to re format my phone after the stamina mode problem every time i lock screen and say put phone down or pocket it seems to lose its signal. I know its not the area as the moment i click to call someone all the bars re appear.
If my MP3 Player is running while I'm downloading, the phone will crash & shut down, the GPS loses signal, I cannot install Nokia OVI Maps 3. The phone loses signal while I'm on the internet, etc. Does anyone know where I can get a change log for the Nokia Firmwares? I'm currently using v05.501 & I'm still experiencing the problems. Nokia Maps v3 doesn't want to install either?
I'm on Fido's network and have already my previous iPhone with Apple for the same issue. My phone just loses reception and goes in "searching" mode. Toggling "airplane" mode doesn't work either. Today I didn't have service for good two hours. Sometimes it would show I have reception but won't allow me to make a call or send text message. My current iPhone is just over a week old but the guy at the Apple store said its an issue with my carrier. I know thats not true since my wife has an iPhone as well and she never has this problem. I'm using the latest version software on my 3GS. Should I swap it again because this is becoming a headache now?
Anyone else having the same problem and if so then have you been able to resolve it?
My 3 days old Z2 suddenly hang and freeze I couldnt touch the screen, the device respond to any button press and I can recieve calls but I cant open it.. I can not restart my device unliss I press the micro red button beside the SIM card.
Whenever I start or receive a phone call, my tethered laptops lose their internet connection. They still show a strong wifi network connection, but cannot access internet sites. Nokia support and my AT&T store say this should not happen and does not happen on their phones. I have the latest update, as of yesterday.
I have a weird issue that's been happening sporadically on my Verizon S6 (stock, 5.1).
On about 3-4 occasions now, I've turned off the phone at night, and the next morning, when turning it back on, I've experienced a loss in battery percentage. I.e., Charged phone to 100%, turned off phone overnight, turned on phone in the AM and battery percentage reads 75%.
Last night, it happened again, only I shut the phone off with about 75% battery. When I turned it on again this morning, my battery percentage had decreased to about 62%.
It's odd, and have never seen this before. This has only happened after the 5.1 update, so not sure if its related to that.
Why would a phone that is turned off be using battery power?
I have a S5 SM-G900F and since the last update 5.0 my phone keeps forgetting its a phone. When I try to make a call I am told that there is no service also I can not receive calls and the is no phone signal indicator at the top. If I restart my phone the signal indicator reappears and I can make a call with out a problem. Then at some point it will lose the signal indicator again and I can not receive calls or send them. After the phone has been restarted I get flooded with all the texts or missed calls I have had, one of these was an important call from my doctor
My iPhone keeps deleting numbers. I don't synch it to anything. This morning I was texting a friend on the bus and 10 minutes later her name disappeared. I am constantly having to re-input names and numbers.
My HTC M8 is about a month old, and a few days ago it turned off while I was using it at about 60% charge, I couldn't turn it back on until I got home and plug into the charger and it said that the battery was at 0%. There were no problems with the phone after that for a few days but it just happened again today, and I'm wondering if I was it is a battery problem.
i dont know why it has only just started to happen, everytime i lock my phone even if im sitting next to my wifi router it switches the wifi off
dont know why its doing this, tried going through settings and just hitting the wifi button, turns on easy enough but then quite quickly turns back off when phone goes into lock/sleep.
I recently forget my pattern and my z2 offline internet , so i can not use email and pass of my google account to login back .. I can not enter your my phone , i can not reset it and i do not how ? " my phone in kitkat android vesion"
The last couple of times I have used my GPS the phone frequently loses it's GPS signal. The phone is placed near the gear shift on the center console.
I saw a thread on Slickdeals that stated Google was replacing broken phones with re-furbished phones is purchased through the Play store. In the thread several people stated that there were GPS problems with the 1 batch of phones.
I own a business and having my contacts phone numbers is an abosolute necessity for me.I've noticed that after importing all my contacts from my SD card (after having setup the phone and creating a MotoBlur account, adding facebook, and a couple of email accounts) that the contacts whom had a Facebook profile, it REMOVED the phone numbers that were previously attached to the contact file.Is there a way to keep the phone from doing this? It did this to each contact that had a facebook profile that didn't have their phone number on their facebook profile.I've tried to go in and edit the contact but it tells me that you can't edit a facebook profile / contact.
