Nokia Nseries :: SMS Notifications And Sms Icon Blinking

- The SMS icon, in the top bar, is constantly blinking. I read on nokia help that it meant my inbox was full. Or it's not. It's almost empty (10 SMS). How can i turn off that ?
- A second problem is the SMS notification, that appears as a wild sequence of TV commercials would do during your favorite tv show : very annoying, whatever the circumstances. The popup forbids me to do anything quietly and peacefully, i'm interrupted and have to click on it in order to make it disappear. (I don't care if Mr X is harassing me while i'm browsing the web)
At the top left of my N8 there is this blinking envelope and the 'sim card full' msg. appears as I touch it. no contacts and no sms on the sim card. Contacts > Options > Memory > SIM Memory - shows 0 Contact persons and Free=500.All SMS msgs are deleted (no unread sms).How to have this blinking stop?
I just got a E52 cellphone, and i am still trying it out. but now there is a picture of an envelope, blinking and blinking in the upper right part of my phone.what's that? its not a new message because i read everything in my mailbox.could it be the failed attempts to work my mailbox.I keep entering my email addy and the password but it doesnt work? please help.
I've Nokia N79 Having Problem With Screen I've installed Ovi store and Upgraded fw on v32 suddenly the phones screen gets blinking in definite period of 7sc I've reflshed phone,changed settings,hard reset,soft reset, and many more.. But problem still presents. Should I replace display? Or display adapter?
I did a hard reset on my 1520 and reinstalled Build 10149 after there was a problem, which I solved by doing the reset, but now charging it takes a year and a half to complete (5 hours remaining on 50%) and the charging icon keeps blinking?
Not necessarily specific to the M8 but maybe in the settings somewhere. How do I get notifications for gmail without the LED blinking? I only want LED to blink for text messages and missed calls.
I searched settings in gmail but couldn't find anything.
Sometimes when I have a new email, sms, and BBM, the LED will shut off or stop blinking after a certain amount of time. I was just curious to see if this was a glitch with my phone, or it was a bold 9700 thing. Or it was just something normal?
my phone is up to date but still get update available icon in status bar top of screen.When I go to Updates available in notifications, the phone checks and then says your phone is already fully up-to-date. How do I get rid of notification icon? Its annoying.
My n8 a day ago after I first turned it on for the first time with belle o.s.otified me of charger pluged in with a voice then battery low. Is this the only thing it has a voice for?
My 4 day old N97 Mini stopped displaying new text message notifications on the screen and alerting me via a tone or vibration. Before posting I read this forum and other independent forums and did the following:
Checked firmware for phone - was up to date
Checked message tone was active in profiles - was active
Deleted all messages in inbox/drafts/sent - fixed issue had 41 messages total in these 3 folders.
I can't understand this error, I had an iPhone 3G before coming back to Nokia (N97 mini OS served a better purpose) I could store literally 100's of texts and never had a problem, If I can't have more than 40 texts in my folders without the alert turning itself off..Then the phone is useless.
I have a problem with text boxes at the home-screen bottom about new messages and missed calls. Those notifications are not showing any more. I guess it happened since I installed BestBlacklist free applications from ovi site. Then I uninstalled that application and even restored factory settings, but notifications didn't come back. At the same time notification lights and logs working OK. How can I make those home screen notifications back?
Unless I turn off the GPS Positioning option on my Nexus One, the icon won't stop blinking. Even when I end all tasks and there are no programs running, it's running. Any ideas?
A few weeks ago, I had an issue where i wasn't getting sms alerts. I put it down to a one off or me just missing them. However, I'ts happened again.My inbox had 3 messages, that I'd not heard a beep for, I had no little envelope icon and no "New Message" alert on the main screen.
As a test, we sent a message to my phone, the message hit the inbox, but there were no notificataions. I changed the profile and sent another text.. same again, no notifications.I rebooted the phone and sent another message.. this time everything worked OK.I'm using a standard message tone as the tone alert..
I've only noticed this since my KitKat installation-
It seems that when I do something that uses the radio (refresh my Yahoo email, check/send a text message), the little satellite icon pops and flashes (im guessing its a satellite).
This always happened before, but it would eventually just go away.
Now mine just blinks for hours on end and my concern is that its draining the battery.
the problem is, i bought it today and after turning it on i noticed it. and yes, i tried the messaging>delete sim messages. the problem is, after i open the options, theres nothing about deleting sim messages, other ways to delete them?
Its not really a problem but what is the blinking house icon above the signal strength on the droid razr maxx hd. It seems to flash randomly and I was just wondering what it was.
An NPS icon has appeared on screen of my Nokia 701. What is it ? It shows as shortcut for applications. It cannot be opened or operated. How to get rid of it ?
Ok so i updated Belle and Number 1 shows me between network name and singal/batery icon Thats line in use 1/2. I able to hide that number (icon) on display that doesnt show me what line i use e.g 1 or 2.I didnt have this issue on Anna it appears now when i updated to Belle.So can someone tell me can i hide it or turn off that doesnt show me "what line i use" and its appears when i call someone or someone call me "name of caller and Line 1"

I have completely lost GPS functionallity. Recently before a couple of days ago the GPS lock was playing up a bit (failed to lock a GPS signal, but GPS icon was visible). Then a couple of days ago I was unable to get a GPS lock at all and the GPS icon failed to show. when I started to organize my N8's menu I clicked on the Settings icon and moved it and it disappeared from the menu I looked in the Application folder but it wasn't there. And now I don't know how to return it (BTW tried to restore factory settings stayed the same the icon is gone)
missing camera icon after the home screen containing it deleted.can find and use camera via file manager but can't create a new shortcut on the remaining screen nor within application.system is Anna which I'm gonna keep and I don't to wipe either because all my settings haven't been restored previously.is there an alternative to that getting the icon back?
I'm a new android user, I'm coming from Windows Phone. On the start screen of my Xperia Z5 Premium I have the facebook Icon. Why there is no number displayed, for how much notifications there are? I mean the little number, like in the E-Mail Icon.
I have turned off Smart stay and Auto adjust screen tone. I've set the screen mode as standard and Daydream is off. Yet, I still get the eye icon appearing several times a day for brief moments. I really want this icon gone permanently.
