I have turned off Smart stay and Auto adjust screen tone. I've set the screen mode as standard and Daydream is off. Yet, I still get the eye icon appearing several times a day for brief moments. I really want this icon gone permanently.

Apologies for the appalling mock-up but it seemed a good way of trying to describe it. It's a grey square with a phone receiver flashing green and yellow in the middle. There also appears to be a letter D to the bottom right hand corner.URL... and URL...It's very odd, flashes for a few seconds and then disappears.
Over the last couple of days I've noticed that most of my notifications are no longer appearing. I still get the from gmail and 1 game, but nothing from my other email accounts (I use Cloud Magic for my email, 5 accounts), Instagram, Twitter, Google Now, etc.
I've done some searching but haven't come up with a definitive answer anywhere, however I did see someone mention a problem with using notifications after having used ultra power save mode, and then turning it off. I used UPS mode for the first time on Sunday so it may well be the cause.
I've restarted the phone a couple of times, and checked the notifications settings in Cloud Magic and Instagram and they're as they should be.
I no longer see a "card" for my text notifications on my lock screen after the lollipop upgrade on my Galaxy S5.
I get the status "notification bar" (see attached screenshot), but I want the "card" (like the "New voice mail" card in the screenshot) to appear on my lock screen - I don't want to have to tap the "notification bar" for the rest of my notifications. Hopefully I'm just missing a setting, and this is not the expected behavior....
Here's what I've tried (and what my settings are):
1) Lock Screen/Screen Lock is set to swipe.
2) Sounds and Notification/While Locked is set to "Show All Content".
3) Applications/Messages/Notifications/Preview Message is checked.
4) Applications/ApplicationManager/Messages -> Show notifications is checked.
5) I have cleared the cache for Messages Application.
6) I have done a cache partition wipe.
So i bought the samsung s6 edge today, and i was very exciting unpacking and setting things up until i start to get these random sound message icon popping up allong with a little "bleep" sound. The phone does does about every 1 to 5 mins, both locked and unlocked. I cant seem to find where this is coming from, as i havent installed any apps yet (just synchronised my s6 with my old s3 via smart switch, where i synchronised my contacts, s planner and notes). I also saw a message pop up: "cannot download right now, try again later" (this is translated from dutch so i'm not sure if its the exact massage when given in english) (this pop up may be irrelevant but i'm trying to give as much info as i can )

I've recently upgraded my Galaxy S5 and am having trouble with the lock screen.All i want is the message/whatapp and other ICONS to appear on the top left hand corner of the lock screen where it now says my carrier...All i want is the little icons nothing else.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a Lumia 950, and I'm not very happy .. I had my previous Lumia for 2.5 years with no issues .. I'm consistently losing the sound notifications on everything (ie: messaging, alarms, calendar, mail, etc).
I have gone through all of the banner checks, setting everything to "default sound", and consistently having to reset this stupid phone to get the sound to work for only a couple of days, before it goes away again, and I have to go through the process again ...
The icon O_O keeps appearing on my phone next to the battery status icon. I have no messages, no emails, nothing. It will not go away. What is it and how can I get it to go away. There is nothing in the users manual and nothing on line about this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBought my 950 from AT&T. I use Office 365 and Outlook SMS calendar notifications (via Exchange) which are sent via carrier email to text.
On my Icon w/ a Verizon account, each notification nested within a single contact or send SMS number (was always "6245"). However, with AT&T I am getting each notification from a distinct number, such as "1 (410) 100-030," "1 (410) 100-031," "1 (410) 100-032," etc., and as per the attached (these messages are from RedOxgyen Outlook SMS that works the same as calendar notifications). It renders the calendar and other Outlook SMS functions useless, as it overwhelms my SMS inbox.
How can I stop missed call notifications appearing in Messages folder? I already get one notification in my Calls folder and I don't need two.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've only had my S5 for a couple months now. About a month ago, I got an OTA update to 4.4.4, and since then my lock screen wallpaper will occasionally disappear and be replaced by a solid black background. All the text/graphics (clock, step counter, notification bar) will still be there, white letters on a black field. The first time was about a week after the OTA, and it's happened 4-5 times so far.
When it goes black, I am no longer able to change the lock screen wallpaper. The menu comes up, and I can see all the pictures available, but selecting one and hitting "Set Wallpaper" simply returns me to the home screen without actually making the change. The black wallpaper will persist until I restart the phone. I have seen no other issues of any kind from the phone when the anomaly occurs, and my home screen wallpaper (which is different from my lock screen) is unaffected.
My S5 recently has had issues with charging. I took it into the store thinking it was the charger that needed to be replaced. No. No visible damage or debris in the charging port or charger. No water or other damage - it has been kept in an Otterbox since the moment I bought it.
When I plug it in, sometimes it does nothing. No matter how long I let it sit or how full the battery is charged, it does not charge. I've tried different outlets, plugging the USB into the computer, charging with phone turned off, and pretty much all of the troubleshooting tips I could think of or find online. Other times it begins to charge only to stop and resume charging multiple times, as if being unplugged repeatedly. It does this so rapidly sometimes that it has killed my battery faster than not charging it at all. I was about to send it to Samsung when I decided to try it all again, including taking a needle to the charger and port to clear it out, when it suddenly worked again. Now, about a week later, back to square one. Sometimes it won't charge at all, other times it charges intermittently.
Now when I get emails on this phone, they come in through my notification screen and I can read them there but it doesn't show up within my actual email account icon on the phone. Nothing since the registering the email on the phone successfully email shows up on the actual phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 2 Blackberry Curve 8900's both on the Vodafone network and have installed Blackberry App World on both of them. I have checked the application lists on both of the phones and Blackberry App World is appearing in both of the lists but there is no icon any where for me to click on to open Blackberry App World. Both of these Blackberrys have software version 4.6.1.168 which according to when i click check for updates on desktop manager it is the latest version.
I have read other threads on here and done anything that i have found so far but none of them have worked, i.e: uninstalled and re-installed the app world from different places but still does not appear numerous battery pulls but still don't appear i have tried installing blackberry app world from [URL] on both blackberrys but still it does not appear i have tried connecting my blackberry to my PC and downloading and installing the blackberry app world from my PC's web browser from the above same URL but using the option 'From Your Desktop Computer' but still it does not appear.

1) I have a strange icon that I can't find a description of appearing next to 2 messages. It looked like a little phone symbol. It appears next to 2 of my conversations, in my SMS/MMS inbox and on he Blackberry Messenger inbox (as the conversations are via the PIN service). I have other conversations in my Blackberry Messenger inbox that appear with a little bubble with the blackberry logo inside, and messages in my SMS/MMS inbox that appear with the normal white speech bubble at the side. However, no matter what I do, these 2 conversations remain with the little Phone symbol next to them.....

Not able to send any e mails either. Thought too many stored mails may be the problem but device won't now allow me to delete. Battery also running low after just a few hours,even after fully charging.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have just updated the o/s on my blackberry curve today (v5.0.0.681).i have a work exchange email, and i have also added my personal mail account via Setup / Email Settings - the new additional mail address is visible, and i have received an email from the Activation Server confirming, i am also receiving mails from both email addresses.the issue is that the icon for the extra mailbox is not appearing on the home screen, or in any of the folders (up until the o/s upgrade i had no issues and it was always visible) I have taken the battery in and out - any other suggestions?
