I just got a E52 cellphone, and i am still trying it out. but now there is a picture of an envelope, blinking and blinking in the upper right part of my phone.what's that? its not a new message because i read everything in my mailbox.could it be the failed attempts to work my mailbox.I keep entering my email addy and the password but it doesnt work? please help.

- A second problem is the SMS notification, that appears as a wild sequence of TV commercials would do during your favorite tv show : very annoying, whatever the circumstances. The popup forbids me to do anything quietly and peacefully, i'm interrupted and have to click on it in order to make it disappear. (I don't care if Mr X is harassing me while i'm browsing the web)
On my E72 is there a blinking message sign in the very bottom of the screen, I don't know what it is and I can't make it disappear. Please help me.

I've tried updating etc. Now that little blinking envelop is starting to annoy me. How do I get it to disappear?? Or should I just take it to a Nokia care point?

It seems that when I do something that uses the radio (refresh my Yahoo email, check/send a text message), the little satellite icon pops and flashes (im guessing its a satellite).
This always happened before, but it would eventually just go away.
Now mine just blinks for hours on end and my concern is that its draining the battery.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just got a Nokia E72 and have managed to self teach how to operate all the functions I can see needing, ( no thanks to the paper manual the phone came with). Unfortunately from day 1 there has been a black + white envelope icon flashing at the very bottom of the screen. It can't be reached by the navigator and I have no unread messages nor are the message boxes full.
I have read the manual cover to cover and pressed every help button in the phone to no avail. how to stop this flashing icon as it is starting to drive me crazy. Other than that it seems like a really good phone.

Basically I downloaded crunchSMS and found its a lot quicker and less laggy than the default SMS program. So when I get a text now 2 icons pop up (SMS and crunchSMS) and I have to go to both to stop my phone from blinking. Is there a way to make the default stop showing up as a new message and a blinking light?

However, I'ts happened again.My inbox had 3 messages, that I'd not heard a beep for, I had no little envelope icon and no "New Message" alert on the main screen.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI finally updated my firmware today with the 031 version, i was using before the 021 version with the old firmaware i had some problems with the camera and the blinking LED.I updated today hoping that those problems would get solved but i noticed that they stills exist.When i take pictures the phone stops responding for a couple of seconds and the taskbar below becomes a bit foggy while the blinking LED doesn't stops blinking after the phone enters the standby mode.i've set it to stop after 5 minutes but it doesn't stop at all and it's very unconfortable during sleep time at night having to whatch your room blinking.does anyone else had the same problems and maybe solved them?
