I have uploaded a video to my n97 that is about 20 mins long. It's an mp4 file format but when I play it it'll play for about 5 mins then the picture will either freeze or go black but the sound will continue to play, so I basically have sound but no picture?

I had some avi files that were choppy in every video player and the only media player that played them smoothly using software compression was MX Player. Also I noticed that MX player would allow you to software decode video and audio seperatly, meaning you can use hardware decode for video and software decode for audio.
Is there any help with this besides reinstalling the phone software. I haved checked my media card is fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my nokia 5800XM on oct 2009.Videos and pictures in the memory card get disappeared or getting corrupted.Because of this I lost all my valuable photos and videos, I will not be able to get back all those moments again. I really hate this phone because of this problem.I did a reset of the phone then also I had the same problem last week.I want to know whether this problem is because of the memory card or firmware. My music files and other things in the memory card are not affected, only the pictures and videos are getting corrupted.

1. When I try to capture a video, nothing is visible on the phone screen. I click on Record button and the shooting starts and then I click on it again and it stops. But I when it tries save the video it gives an error "Unexpected error occurred. Please restart your phone".
2. I reboot the phone. But I face the same problem. I face the same problem while capturing pictures.
I have tried following as a measure to solve the problem but no success till now:
1. Reboot the phone: tried it more than 20 times. Does not work
2. Soft Restart: Removed the battery for 1 minute and powered the phone back. Does not work
3. Restore Factory Settings: Restored the phone to factory settings. Does not work.
4. I checked my firmware version. Its 12.1.089, RM-625. I think no firmware upgrade is available at present
Please advise what steps should I follow to cure the problem.Please also let me know in case you are facing a similar problem with your device.

I have several videos and pictures i want to put on to my computer off my phone and vice versa but when i plug my phone in and it pops up open folder to view files i cant find them in mass, phone or memory card memories, when i go on the phone in files there not in there either btu there in the gallery if i open it up for detailes it has the date for the name, description and if i click on location it just says unavailble.

First few seconds screen halts on the image of first frame of video then screen goes whte and flash player's symbol small "f " shows on top left corner. View 19 Replies View Relatedi got my phone about 2 months ago. it worked fine for about a month, and then, just like that, it started to freeze in the middle of the recording for about 2-3 secs, then started rec ok, and agaian freezed for 2-3 secs and so on. After i downloaded the movie and played it, it played the same as the recording(with the freezed sections, but with sound). I checked the sw version(the last one), i changed the card, i formatted it. The problem(for now) is solved by taking down the recording quality, but i dont want this to be a permanent solution.

If i try and watch something lke bbc iplayer, on a good day i can just about get it to work at the small screen size that loads with the window, but if i try and go full screen the image frreezes but the audio track contiunes. It's the same if i try and export via hdmi. I have pretty solid wifi speed and signal strength is minimum of "fair " to "good/excellent " And it's not just iplayer but that is most common as major reason for purchase was to act as a wireless hub stream to my tv.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI always walk around listening to audiobooks and podcasts.I also use the camera in my phone.But every single time i take a picture, the audioplayer stops.I then have to browse back to the audioplayer and restart it, and then browse back to the camera again.
And everytime i take a picture the whole BS starts over again.
This has never been a problem with my old "stupid" phone.
