Nokia :: N97 Mini - How To Dial Numbers Like 1800-care

In some countries, phone numbers are listed as 1800-pizza deliver or just 93-postoffice or something like that. Using number pads with letters, this is no problem but the default N97 mini dialer has only numbers and no letters. I have searched the web for third party dialers but no luck, Can someone please advise?
I used to own a E63. Same problem with keypad but there was a work-round. I used this work round using the N97 mini physical keypad but no dice.

When I go to the dial pad and press the numbers, only 0 appears. i can't proceed to do manual dialing.

I recently purchased the (2014) Moto X for one of my fellow employees. He is an apple fan boy, so when it was his time for an upgrade of course I got him an Android device (with the notion I had 30 days to return if necessary)
He loves the device, his only gripe has been that he cannot click on phone numbers to dial out directly from the email app or the outlook app. He can however click on phone numbers through his Gmail app and it go straight to the dialer.

I'm just got an Xperia X10 mini pro, and I have a probably dumb question on how to use it: I can't seem to dial anything once I'm in a call
If I am calling a customer service line, or my voicemail, I need to enter keypad entries. However once the call begins there is nothing I can do to be able to press anything, unless I pop the keyboard out and back in again. I understand there is a proximity sensor but head isn't that big. Am I doing something wrong? I just updated the OS to the latest version of Android 2.1

I took my N97 in for its second service in the past 5 weeks, this time because it froze and wouldn't make or receive calls.I was told that it was going automatically to message bank.I have never used or even activated message bank, so i don't know how that would unexpectedly start happening.I was also told that the reason i have so many troubles (crashes, freezes etc) with my phone is because i am using third party files on it.
I have to use PC Suite and i have to convert my chosen computer files into suitable N97 files.I also have to leave the phone clean of any files, applications, downloads or extras for a week to make sure that it works properly. then i can put my converted photos and music onto it.I can also put my OVI games & applications back on it.
Why is it reccommended that we do a Back Up before any resets or formatting, if the files on the back up are corrupted and possibly causing the troubles to recur?What is the point of having a memory card.

Recently (3/20) I have visited Delhi,Rohini Nokia Care center (Dexter) (India). I vistied to resolve my front camera issue. Front camera video is coming Green. When I today (3/21) reached to collect phone and told them to please get me tested the phone front camera, what they told me is "there is no Front camera in E71. If you prove will give you new phone? This is pathetic they even don't know that there is front video camera in the phone. My jobsheet no is 11433527/100320113. Even I saw jobsheet, they have not even tested it. Engineer: Sukhbir,Amit and Sanjeev denied that there is Front Camera in this phone.If I(Me) prove then will give me new phone....Now I am ready to Prove Will Nokia Provide me new phone Who will resolve my issue Please tell me Grievance cell email id. Or i need to go to Consumer court for this?

My N900 micro-USB connector died only few months after I bought it. I sent it off to customer care and now they're telling me the phone is out of warranty due to either being out of the warranty period, being physically damaged or being water damaged. I took good care of the phone and it worked fine until the battery died.
I need to send every email twice to get a response and they never seem to listen to me.I asked them to reevaluate their verdict and then they asked me for proof of purchase - which I already sent with the damn phone! It seems like the people responding to the emails have no connection to the people who actually have the phone at the repair center.What can I do?

Today I called Nokia Support, because I could not download maps with map loader.The guy asked if the ovi suite is installed. I told him, that the Ovi suite keeps on crashing on start-up on my machine, and that all other software is running fine, e.g. the PC suite which I am using instead.
For a price of 14 Cent/Minutes this "Nokia-Care"-guy had the nuts telling me that probably my computer needs to be fixed. After telling him that my computer works fine with all other software, he finally told me that I need to call Microsoft, as it would be their fault that Ovi Suite is not running on my machine.
This is a poor joke called "Nokia-Care". Dear Nokia-people, that is no-support and no-care-at-all. Providing something that crashes for free, and charging money for providing rudeness on the phone.

I still can't get any incoming email through the email client without hitting "send/receive" manually.This problem happened after upgrading to the new firmware.I called today and Nokia Care told me to install the firmware upgrade again using the computer this time.But when I try it says I already have the latest firmware. How do I over ride that - and reinstall the firmware again using the Nokia Software Updater on the computer?
Also,he told me if this doesn't work I would have to send it to them - they would reinstall the firmware themselves - and if it STILL didn't work - it would be deemed a "bug" - they would send me my N900 back and I would have to wait until the next firmware upgrade. The last firmware upgrade took 6 months.So, what is my "warranty" for?I did buy one.how come they can send me back a "broken" phone with no incoming email?

I've a nokia 5130c-2 xpressmusic. Does it support 8gb memory card? I've tried 4gb memory card and it does not make any problem. But in nokia website, it says 5130 only support 2gb but i've used 4gb memory card. Can i use 8gb memory card on my phone? And what's the accurate memory card capacity of my phone?

I have a Nokia 5800 Express Music.For fow days I was facing issue with side lock key button. I took my phone for repair to nokia care center in Aundh. They kept my phone with them for 2 days and returned it to me as it is after 2 days.When I checked on delivery the problem still persisted. They said the key needs to be replaced and will take few days and come back after 2 days. When I went back they said 2 more days, after 2 days they said again 2 days. I had to visit there office 5-6 times just to hear 2 more days.When I tried to escalate using service center they said can not take complient. Just getting frustrated day by day with Nokia service.

My phone has been behaving really oddly recently. It has started dialling random numbers during the night, sometimes my contacts, sometimes just four or five digits, and once to my service operator's helpline. It also did it when it was switched off so I had to start removing the battery at night. Just last week, it wouldn't let me send text messages. I tried the recommendations found on this forum but nothing worked although the sim does work in other phones.
I got in contact with Virgin Mobile and they arranged for me to send them the phone for it to be looked at. Unfortunately, the connection between the USB socket and the phone had been damaged somehow (not sure how as I'm very careful with my phone) so the warranty has been invalidated They say they can't do anything although I have no problem connecting the phone to my computer.

i used to use some call blocking apps like Mr.Number n then tried Call Blacklist(one after another).. I uninstall all of it as i have no more use of it.. But the thing is, a particular number that i used to block is still being blocked. Is this an issue from the Call Blocker software or system software?

Xperia X10 Mini Pro with Android 2.1-update1.I'm sorry if these questions have been asked a thousand times before, but I simply couldn't find a search box for these forums... the one on the top just searches everything. I also tried google, but none of the results seem to match.1: After I used the sync app, some of my contacts show double phone numbers. If I edit the profile, there's an extra header called "SyncML," and there seems to be no way to "delete" this header (besides, it would take a lot of time going through all the contacts, deleting it for each contact). I've tried turning off showing the sync contacts out in the list, but since the information is merged, that just doesn't do anything.

I have a brand new ozone that I need to program for Pageplus. I need to dial *22890, but I can't dial. The phone prompts me to hit the send key which dials *228, which does me no good. Is there any way to make this thing dial the number I need?

I have an xperia x10 mini which is up to date with the latest software
When I recieve a text from one of my contacts the number that is displayed is a combination of two numbers from my contacts. It doesn't come up with their names, just their phone numbers seperated by a semicolon. Then when I reply to the message it will go to the first number of the two and not to the person who sent the message in the first place. I believe that this happened when I sent a text message a little while ago with both of these contacts as recipients, however I now cannot seperate these 2 contacts. I have tried deleting all the texts and contacts, however as soon as I get a new text from this contact it shows as both numbers again. The only way I can reply to this contact is to remember to start a new message, otherwise it will go to the wrong person. I have searched on the internet and found a few other people with is issue on an xperia phone

I'm hoping someone here can help me! When I receive a text from one particular contact in my phone book, the number displayed is a combination of 4 different numbers, all of which belong to different contacts in my phone book. When I reply the text is sent to the first number of the four which is not the contact who sent me the text! None of these four contacts are connected, nor are they adjacent in my contacts list! I tried deleting the contact affected and then adding back in but this did not fix it. Space bar problem does not end with stop working here and there, my brother has a E71 and he can use space bar in home screen for searching the contact names, which makes it much much easier but in E72 u can't use it because it becomes Symbol botton instead "WEIRD"
example: if you have a name like: Megan Fox (YOU WISH) - in E71 write " m (space) f" and there you go buy with E72 if you hit space bar the Symbol block pups up " WEIRD " so you only can search eather first or last name "BAD"...i tested this on few E72s (i made sure it's not only mine)DO SOMETHING Nokia !! we (Nokia fans) are getting beat up, it's been so long and E72 really needs an UPDATE!!!!!
