Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Double Numbers And Birthdays?

Xperia X10 Mini Pro with Android 2.1-update1.I'm sorry if these questions have been asked a thousand times before, but I simply couldn't find a search box for these forums... the one on the top just searches everything. I also tried google, but none of the results seem to match.1: After I used the sync app, some of my contacts show double phone numbers. If I edit the profile, there's an extra header called "SyncML," and there seems to be no way to "delete" this header (besides, it would take a lot of time going through all the contacts, deleting it for each contact). I've tried turning off showing the sync contacts out in the list, but since the information is merged, that just doesn't do anything.

this is more a complaint than a discussion. Why is it NOT possible to have birthdays in the contact list? why I am writing this thread - I just don't understand why they do NOT integrate this, even my old Nokia E52 managed that...I am synchronising my Mini Pro with my MacBook Pro (with SyncMate, i don't want to use Google) so I have all birthday in the calender (because I have them in the Mac calender) and now I installed Ebobirthday on the phone so the problem is kind of " bypassed". But I think it's weird that there is no birthday field in the addressbook!

My phone has been behaving really oddly recently. It has started dialling random numbers during the night, sometimes my contacts, sometimes just four or five digits, and once to my service operator's helpline. It also did it when it was switched off so I had to start removing the battery at night. Just last week, it wouldn't let me send text messages. I tried the recommendations found on this forum but nothing worked although the sim does work in other phones.
I got in contact with Virgin Mobile and they arranged for me to send them the phone for it to be looked at. Unfortunately, the connection between the USB socket and the phone had been damaged somehow (not sure how as I'm very careful with my phone) so the warranty has been invalidated They say they can't do anything although I have no problem connecting the phone to my computer.

i used to use some call blocking apps like Mr.Number n then tried Call Blacklist(one after another).. I uninstall all of it as i have no more use of it.. But the thing is, a particular number that i used to block is still being blocked. Is this an issue from the Call Blocker software or system software?

I have an xperia x10 mini which is up to date with the latest software
When I recieve a text from one of my contacts the number that is displayed is a combination of two numbers from my contacts. It doesn't come up with their names, just their phone numbers seperated by a semicolon. Then when I reply to the message it will go to the first number of the two and not to the person who sent the message in the first place. I believe that this happened when I sent a text message a little while ago with both of these contacts as recipients, however I now cannot seperate these 2 contacts. I have tried deleting all the texts and contacts, however as soon as I get a new text from this contact it shows as both numbers again. The only way I can reply to this contact is to remember to start a new message, otherwise it will go to the wrong person. I have searched on the internet and found a few other people with is issue on an xperia phone

Can't see my contacts phone numbers on the Bluetooth connection to my car now I have updated the Andriod to 2.1. I could see them before on Andriod 1.6.

I'm hoping someone here can help me! When I receive a text from one particular contact in my phone book, the number displayed is a combination of 4 different numbers, all of which belong to different contacts in my phone book. When I reply the text is sent to the first number of the four which is not the contact who sent me the text! None of these four contacts are connected, nor are they adjacent in my contacts list! I tried deleting the contact affected and then adding back in but this did not fix it. Birthdays on my calendar events is not showing up to my calendar, birthdays from Facebook. Sync is properly set up. Perform the hard reset fro the phone.

In some countries, phone numbers are listed as 1800-pizza deliver or just 93-postoffice or something like that. Using number pads with letters, this is no problem but the default N97 mini dialer has only numbers and no letters. I have searched the web for third party dialers but no luck, Can someone please advise?
I used to own a E63. Same problem with keypad but there was a work-round. I used this work round using the N97 mini physical keypad but no dice.

I was messing around with the portrait retouch option on the camera. I had a message come up saying "having promlems talking a selfie, try a double tap on the back of the phone" or something like that. Does this only work with this app.? I dont take many selfies, but thats a great idea. I have tried it on the normal camera and supiror auto and it doesnt work. Is there an option somewhere to turn this on?

I've found the double tap to wake up to be very sensitive when the phone is put in my pocket, the screen unlocks on its own and sometimes the flashlight gets toggled. I'm on the latest firmware. Are there others who face this issue as well?

When protecting the Neo with "Visible Pattern Screenlock", the default "Swipe to unlock" does NOT disappear. This means that if you want to protect your phone, you have to BOTH swipe AND draw the unlock pattern. This must be a bug? how to circumvent this?

According to the SE PC Companion, you NEED to have Microsoft Outlook on your PC to be able to back up phone numbers.... my PC has not got this program and i dont wish you purchase the programe either, is there any other "easier" way to back up my phone numbers instead of the phones "back up and restore" feature?? Samsung PC Suite used to let you transfer all your numbers to it's PC suite with no problems...why is Sony Ericcson PC Companion so dififcult?

I am using Xperia Mini Pro nd had updated my phn till version 4.0.2.A.0.58 via phone only but this time the new version 4.0.2.A.0.62 can not be updated directly via phone its says to use PC COMPANION, while using PC COMPANION and selcting the update process its prompting to stop WINIT process to start downloading the update.

a few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%
A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery.So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...

I've been having problems with my phone recently, it doesn't recieve some text messages or show my missed calls. A friend suggested that it may just need updating, which made sense because I'd been getting update notifications, just hadn't got round to hooking my ohone up to my laptop. So I did just that and installed the 'companion' but when I try to update, it's asking me to insert a memory card. I've never taken it out! Not once. So i've turned the phone off and on again, as you do.

I have had a problem for last couple of weeks - When I got the phone (around 2mths ago), I created all my main contacts, added their names, numbers and email addresses. So, at least a month goes by, but then one or two contacts start losing their phone numbers (the name and email address remains). I have tried everything from simply entering and saving the number again via the phonebook and even adding the number from text messages sent by the person in question - each time I have ensured that I have clicked 'done' and/or the save symbol. I exit the phonebook, but if I check back later it's been lost again.
This seems to happen with only one or two particular contacts - I am not sure what is unique about them.
I have read the manual re: phonebook, so I am following all of the steps so I am not sure whether or not the phone has a fault.
