View 6 RepliesI have a HTC one m9 and I cant seem to get the "double tab to wake" feature to work. I can double tap to sleep but not to wake. It all started with the 5.1 upgrade.
I've done a cache wipe, a battery reset, and even a factory reset.
I've checked all my setting and the double tap to wake/sleep is checked.
Is there a hack to enable this must have feature?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi dont know why it has only just started to happen, everytime i lock my phone even if im sitting next to my wifi router it switches the wifi off
dont know why its doing this, tried going through settings and just hitting the wifi button, turns on easy enough but then quite quickly turns back off when phone goes into lock/sleep.
Have just updated to lollipop on my Z2. But now the phone's backlight stays on unless I press the power button. Sleep mode is set to 30 seconds.

Phone is fully charged. None of the power saving options are enabled. Keep wifi on during sleep is enabled.
Phone is somewhere away from wifi in use with mobile data.
Phone becomes in range of a known wifi device whilst not in use.
After any amount of time, phone is used.
Mobile data is still in use and wifi is only switched to at the point the screen turns on.
I'm with a 5.0.2 D6603. The issue I have is that the following Kernel wakelocks does not allow the phone to deep sleep.
msm_serial_hs_dma
BTLowPower
I've just performed a sw repair via pc companion, and several factory reset. I'm running the Z3 with no apps.
It happens both with an LG G Watch R (5.0.2) and a regular BT Plantronics (voice only) headset. Using the same BT devices with a Nexus 4, Nexus 10 and an LG G2 does not have the same effect. As soon as there is no usage the phone goes to sleep immediately.
If we take the second device, I do expect a Kernel wakelock while speaking or streaming music. The phone is active any way while performing this task. What is strange is that even if there is no activity the wakelocks avoid deep sleep.
What is strange is that if I move away from the headset (and the BT icon goes the "non connected" status), the wakelocks are always there. The effect is that my phone (both on 4.4.4 and 5.0.2) almost never ever sleeps, and sometimes get warm. It is evident that the battery life affected a lot. If I switch BT off, everything goes back to normal.
I did a further test, in the below sequence:
- BT ON + connected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
- BT ON + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
- BT OFF + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => no wakelock + device sleep
- BT ON + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
My phone app is draining battery of my phone!tried a factory reset but still the same. It keeps the phone awake every time. Processor does not go to deep sleep.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I was wondering if there was a way to get the double tap or swipe up to wake the phone up without having to move the phone first? It seems kinda strange that a feature designed to make waking your phone up so simple is complicated by having to actually lift or move it first?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI was messing around with the portrait retouch option on the camera. I had a message come up saying "having promlems talking a selfie, try a double tap on the back of the phone" or something like that. Does this only work with this app.? I dont take many selfies, but thats a great idea. I have tried it on the normal camera and supiror auto and it doesnt work. Is there an option somewhere to turn this on?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSeems like it's too easy to turn it on in my pocket or in my wifes purse. It's a very big screen and touching it twice is pretty easy, accidentally speaking. I've checked everywhere, but I'm new to LG's skin.

I was looking through my settings and was trying to test out a feature, forget exact feature but it either involved hitting the home button 3 times or it was holding the home and volume down buttons at the same time (I am guessing it was some combination of these two that activated my issue). I can not remember the exact feature as I was fiddling through the entire Settings menu for awhile before this happened . Regardless of the feature, I somehow managed to put my phone into a mode where everything requires a double tap to select and it has made using the phone near impossible.
When I attempt to tap something, lets say the Google toolbar for example, I get a blue box that surrounds the selected item and I get a vibration (that didnt happen before) & nothing happens. Unless I do a rapid double tap the app/icon/whatever will just become highlighted. Once I do the double tap and manage to get Google Now open, it becomes impossible to input text, it seems the double tap sometimes will select a letter, but it takes multiple attempts to even get the letter to register and by the time it does i end up with 4 of the same letter.
Oddly if i just single tap a letter or tap on a blank area of my home screen, I get what feels like a quarter powered vibration. This issue extends to every input on the phone, and when I say that everything requires a double tap I do mean EVERYTHING - I had to type this message with my fiances phone because I could not even manage to type it out on my own phone. I can not even manage to bring down my notification pullbar from up top because it ALL requires a double tap!
How to get rid of this and revert back to normal? I would prefer if I did not have to perform a factory reset...
After the lollipop update, and unlike previous version, i now have 2 lock screens to pass - the general one and then the pin code due to my microsoft exchange account settings.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhile I'm on a call on speakerphone, the phone will go to sleep. The problem is that when I am finished with the call, I cannot end the call until after I wake up the phone. I would rather the phone stay awake during the call so I can end it right away. I have tried some apps that are supposed to keep apps awake such as Wakey without success.

I also tried google, but none of the results seem to match.1: After I used the sync app, some of my contacts show double phone numbers. If I edit the profile, there's an extra header called "SyncML," and there seems to be no way to "delete" this header (besides, it would take a lot of time going through all the contacts, deleting it for each contact). I've tried turning off showing the sync contacts out in the list, but since the information is merged, that just doesn't do anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone has developed a condition of not waking after the screen went to sleep. I am not sure it started after Lollipop 5.0.1 or not. But it is doing that more frequent with time. When I tried to double tap to wake the phone, only the task bar on top, the home, and back button at the bottom lighted up. If I press the power button, the screen will go black completely. Press the power button again and the task bar and the other two button lighted up again. The way to finally wake up the phone is repeatedly pressing the volume up and down button together. This could require several minutes of pressing the volume button to get the screen to turn on. The phone is not rooted. It works fine when the screen is on.
