View 3 RepliesAt night, while I'm trying to sleep, I don't want to be disturbed by audio notifications, but I still want calls and the alarm clock to wake me. If I use the "Ring/Silent Switch", it kills the audio notifications nicely, but also kills the tone for calls - and I missed 2 important calls last night. I know I can disable Wi-Fi, but then I won't get any emails and I need to be able to have my emails up-to-date. I often have scheduled work calls in the middle of the night but they can get cancelled so I like to be able to quickly check for cancelled calls before I fully wake up, so I can go back to sleep in possible. Is the only way to go through the Notification Centre and manually turn each time of notifcation off?

Recently updated my iPhone 4 to ios 7.1.2. Currently my worst problem: instead of going into sleep mode, the phone turns off completely. I then cannot turn the phone back on with the sleep/wake button. To turn the phone back on, I need to do a hard reboot each time by holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously. I have tried going into settings/general/reset and selecting "reset all".

I can't find where in settings to turn off this feature.

I have a HTC one m9 and I cant seem to get the "double tab to wake" feature to work. I can double tap to sleep but not to wake. It all started with the 5.1 upgrade.
I've done a cache wipe, a battery reset, and even a factory reset.
I've checked all my setting and the double tap to wake/sleep is checked.
While I'm on a call on speakerphone, the phone will go to sleep. The problem is that when I am finished with the call, I cannot end the call until after I wake up the phone. I would rather the phone stay awake during the call so I can end it right away. I have tried some apps that are supposed to keep apps awake such as Wakey without success.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got my droid 3 about 25 days ago and I was pretyy happy with it - it's a great phone. However, recently, I can't put my phone into "Sleep." When I do click sleep, the screen goes black, like it should, but I cannot bring my phone out of it. THe only way I can turn my phone on is if I plug it in for charging or if I do a battery pull.Is the phone defective, or is this a known software issue?
View 12 Replies View RelatedPhone was working fine, then started to not go to sleep when I pressed the power button. It also frequently posts a message informing me about how to restart the phone using the power and volume buttons. It only goes away if I press the volume up or down.
How to prevent it. I tried a hard reset but have had no success with it.
My Wi-Fi always turns itself on when the phone is 'asleep'. Here is a screenshot of my Wi-Fi settings. I can't figure out how to not make it turn on like that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone has developed a condition of not waking after the screen went to sleep. I am not sure it started after Lollipop 5.0.1 or not. But it is doing that more frequent with time. When I tried to double tap to wake the phone, only the task bar on top, the home, and back button at the bottom lighted up. If I press the power button, the screen will go black completely. Press the power button again and the task bar and the other two button lighted up again. The way to finally wake up the phone is repeatedly pressing the volume up and down button together. This could require several minutes of pressing the volume button to get the screen to turn on. The phone is not rooted. It works fine when the screen is on.

Phone is fully charged. Â None of the power saving options are enabled. Â Keep wifi on during sleep is enabled. Â
Phone is somewhere away from wifi in use with mobile data.
Phone becomes in range of a known wifi device whilst not in use.
After any amount of time, phone is used.
Mobile data is still in use and wifi is only switched to at the point the screen turns on.
my phone arrived yesterday (replacement for my original which went the way of the dodo) and the damn thing wont stay asleep, regardless of actively making it or it doing it of its own accord it will not. the thing will light up like a christmas tree within seconds of it fading to black then will continue this cycle until the battery dies. only thing on the phone is ice cream sandwich which was installed in a hope that it might fix the issue (was happening from the moment i turned the thing on.)
