View 1 RepliesFor the past few months, the LED light never blink when the battery became low. It always suddenly shuts down the blackberry even though I don't use much of the battery yet. Last week, it became worse. It happens few times a week. So a few days ago i decided to update the software and restore my blackberry..
Afterwards, it became worse. My phone keep shutting down even though battery is still 85%. It wont turn on even if I press the power button. So I took off the battery and insert it back in and after rebooting, the battery will be left with 50%. This is a software problem, virus or battery problem?
I have a Bold 9780 and for some reason it pops up with a message saying "Battery drained. Shutting down handheld." even though my battery was 50% full. It has happened before. when it happens, I remove the battery and reboot the device. it gives me the same error except this time, the battery icon says that it is fully charged.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was updating my Blackberry Bold 9780 using Deskop Software when my computer went into sleep mode (forgot to change the settings). So when I woke it up, "app error 200" occurred on my bb screen and I had to reset it and stop the update. Now it won't turn on. I tried the battery pull but nothing changed. The progress bar on the welcome screen goes almost until its end and stops, after some time the same error screen appears.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just ran the latest updates and having all sorts of issues. battery life very poor and it won't wake up from standby/ sleep mode. Looks like there might be more bugs in this latest update. I had issues before with the email setup application which resulted in a replacement handset! I have to keep pulling the battery to reset it!!!
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got my Photon a couple weeks ago. Not too long after setting it up I started having issues with the screen not completely waking up from sleep. I'll press the power button to turn on the display and unlock the phone, but only the blacklight turns on. So the bottom four buttons light up and there is a slight glow the the main screen. All I have to do to fix the issue is turn off the screen then back on and it works. It's not too inconvienent but I get the feeling this isn't a feature I bought the phone for.
Also important to note when the backlight comes on I can still operate the screen, just blindly. I get haptic feedback and can navigate to certain areas.I've tried a uninstalling certain apps, turning off pocket detection, and ultimately a factory reset. Nothing works.
i cant turn on my 9780, had a black screen and basically was off..only red LED flashes. tried a few tips from this forum but it doesnt work..1. pulled off and reinserting the batt, 2. connect to pc but failed to detect the device,it says "windows unable to installed the driver"..then i tried to connect with desktop manager to update os, but error occurs when it try to connect with the device.3. then i decided to uninstalled bb desktop manager, after restart, i connect the usb again, the windows detected the hardware n successfully installed the driver..but i didnt reinstall the desktop manager yet. im afraid if i did a wrong step which might accidently loose all the media data..is it my os probs or i need to replace the batt?
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday, my Bold 9900 battery was completely drained so I put it on charge overnight. The LED light was flashing yellow. Now I can't get the phone to turn on at all. This has happened before but after removing the battery and putting it back in the phone turned on. I've tried pulling the battery today but nothing happens, just the LED light flashing red for a few seconds then going back off

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt has been a week now, and my Bold 9780 switches off as soon as I turn it back on. It started as a problem with my keypad and trackpad which stopped working. Slowly, my phone gave in and switched off.For the past 5 days, I took out the battery and packed my phone and the battery separately in a zip pouch to avoid any chances of moisture intervention. My phone worked properly for one full day yesterday and now its irritating again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUpdated a 9780 from 5.0 to 6.0 and now phone won't turn on. Red light comes on and keypad lights up but no screen.Did a search and checked the uploader file. There was not any files left to load. Removing and reinstalling battery does not help. Tried reloading 6.0 and still nothing.Desktop software recognizes phone and has all data from phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was busy charging my phone earlier, and I noticed that it kept rebooting over and over. I decided to leave it alone for a bit, and to just let it charge. However, when I came back, my phone was off completely, and wouldn't turn on. I unplugged it and pulled out the battery and put it back in, but there was no red light or reboot. Now it's refusing to turn on completely.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBold 9780 battery drained completely (overnight) and when I went to charge it again it won't turn on. I tried charging it overnight and still nothing, I have also tried another fully charged battery and that won't work. My Desktop manager software doesn't detect it. Just before it died I had actually transferred all of the data onto a new blackberry and the software said I could now wipe my device but I didn't bother yet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have updated my software yesteerday as instructed through Blackberry, howvere now it wont turn on. It turns on so that the blackberry logo shows up with the loading bar loading underneath then about 3/4 of the way through it blanks the screen and starts again.
I have tried taking the battery out when it is running, I have also tried leaving the battery out and it still isnt working.
I have just recieved a replacement and successfully completed all necessary transfers except for one thing. I cannot synchronise Outlook calendar or tasks properly. I am asked to go to the device, go to options, and turn off wireless snc. Problem is, there the options menu does not have a box for wireless sync.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI drained my battery and plugged it in. Every time I put the battery back in or plug it in, the red light stays on for about 10-20 seconds and then the charging symbol comes up on the screen, but it won't power on.Also, when I plug into computer it recognizes that a device is connected but I cant update software through the Blackberry desktop software.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAt night, while I'm trying to sleep, I don't want to be disturbed by audio notifications, but I still want calls and the alarm clock to wake me. If I use the "Ring/Silent Switch", it kills the audio notifications nicely, but also kills the tone for calls - and I missed 2 important calls last night. I know I can disable Wi-Fi, but then I won't get any emails and I need to be able to have my emails up-to-date. I often have scheduled work calls in the middle of the night but they can get cancelled so I like to be able to quickly check for cancelled calls before I fully wake up, so I can go back to sleep in possible. Is the only way to go through the Notification Centre and manually turn each time of notifcation off?
