Is there a way to do this? I've searched the settings and didn't find anything. I also tried Silent Boot from the Play Store and that didn't work either. What am I missing?

I had just bought my N900, but I'm surprised that when I playing any mp3 or when assigning a ringetone, the sound output or volume is so low,Comparing with my old one N95. yes it's extremely low..while trying to decrease the volume and mark it to be like 25%, it will be zero sound output.i have downloaded a new media player with equalizer, nothing new, same low volume and i guess it's not related to media player, as if someone dialing me the ring tone also is very low.

Most of the time when I startup my Xoom it will not play any sound that I can hear. If I hold the volume up button and the power button to reboot then the sound is fine. Has anyone else heard of this problem and is there a fix or just to continue what i have been doing.

I have flashed my Cingular 3125 extensively but it is getting too old and back won't stay on. I have modified all I can on Blackjack II (sgh-i617) w/o flash. It's on Win Mob 6.1, I want to change the start-up pic and sound, I know this is a bit of an older issue but can anyone gimme a link or advice on how to progress? I've purchased a iPhone 4S off ebay with the aim of fixing it. It is in great condition inside and out, however won't turn on or boot and there is no display. When plugged into the wall socket it just makes the charging chirp sound over and over again, but that is all. When plugged into a computer it does nothing, no show in iTunes. All the seller was able to say was that he tried to fix the screen and it worked before that, but couldn't get it to work properly after that. Any ideas what could be wrong, what needs to be replaced? If it was just a faulty screen shouldn't the phone still charge and why is it making the constant sound?

i realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

Nokia N97 :: Startup Error Is Due To SD Card?

I have the following issue with my N97. Hope someone can shed some light on this. The last time I charged my N97 it just charged continuously without stopping when the battery was full. I didnt think too much of it, but during the same day the phone froze on me. Upon rebooting it stuck on the Nokia start-up screen and just stayed like that, the phone even started to get warm. I have since tried several times to switch it on but it stays stuck on the Nokia start-up screen. Oddly enough, when I removed the SD card and switched it on it worked! I have now tried to switch it on several times with the SD card inserted, no luck, without the card, no problem at all! This is obviously not the solution to remove the SD card each time I need to switch my phone on. Could this be a software problem? Has anybody had the same issue?

When I go to http://maps.ovi.com/ on my PC there is always a long wait (typically 5 minutes) while it downloads data before I can use the site or even login.What is it downloading and why? I live in Huddersfield so why does it finally change from the unwanted world map to an unwanted map of Birmingham? Am I doing something wrong (I do, of course, regularly clear out my temp files)

Backed up my X6 today then attempted to update to the latest software version.Ovi suite told me it couldn't connect to the update service and to try again later.So I turn it all off and now my phone won't start up at all. It's been plugged into the charger for over an hour and won't do anything, won't display the charging screen or start up. However when I do connect it to the computer my PC makes the "hardware connected" sound then the "hardware disconnected" sound immediately after, despite the device apparently being unpowered.

I've been using my N86 for some time now. And I've encounted one issue that's really bugging me.When I start Maps, and the phone starts searching for satellites, the Maps program hangs for some reason. This happens quite offen. The rest of the phone works fine, but I can't use Maps. But if I restart the phone the program works fine.Sometime later when I try again, then the problem occurs again.Is there anyone else that has this problem, and does anyone know of a solution?The phone is currently running firmware 21.006 and Ovi Maps 3.03

Even when I try to disconnect the opened connection, it reconnects back by itself in about 1-2 seconds.Could you advice me what should be done in order not to have this "automatic" data connection at startup?
