Jul 21, 2010Ive just noticed that my n900 makes a noise when i put it on charge and when i take it off. Best way i can describe it is that its as if a drive inside kinda shudder!

Nokia :: N900 Would Not Charge - When Use Standard Charger
Apr 29, 2010Using the plug in charger, the N900 charges okay.However...When I used a standard charger (using a Nokia standard to N900 block adaptor), the phone would not charge.I use the same block on the Nokia CK-7W car kit I have and it would not charge.Does this mean that the block is defective or the old chargers. When I connect both, it shows charging and the battery icon goes up and down and the yellow light glows on and off, but it simply doesn't charge.

Feb 14, 2010I had been using my N900 for 2 weeks without any issues. I never updated the software. Last night I was trying to take a picture and opened the camera lens cover. Accidentally I pressed the power button instead of the camera capture key while trying to take the picture. The display went off. I also found the phone felt warmer than usual. I took the battery out, put it in and tried again. No success. This time the phone did seem to be getting hot. I took the battery out and tried several hours later. No effect - the phone wasn't feeling warm either. I tried both the USB and wall charger - the LED was glowing green, but the phone wouldn't turn on.
Now even with the charger connected, the LED doesn't glow. Being a Sunday, I can't contact Nokia Care till tomorrow. Breaks my heart to think the hardware could get messed up so easily. We've had several Nokias in the family but not a high end one like N900. I've tried everything suggested in other forurms (including Maemo). I tried to update software with NSU. The NSU can't even detect the N900 when I connect it to the USB port. Probably suggests the battery is flat. I don't have a 5800 to try and recharge the battery externally - its shocking to know the phone can't charge if the battery is flat. If a laptop can why can't a "smart" phone? Anything else I can try?
Nokia :: Turn Off Nokia Charger Sound On Lumia 920
Dec 4, 2012When I take my Lumia 920 off of the charger it makes a chime sound even when I have the phone on vibrate. Is there any way to turn this off? It's fairly annoying to have that sound every time I take the phone off the charging pad to check a text message or whatever, especialy when I'm in my office.

Jul 23, 2010I had just bought my N900, but I'm surprised that when I playing any mp3 or when assigning a ringetone, the sound output or volume is so low,Comparing with my old one N95. yes it's extremely low..while trying to decrease the volume and mark it to be like 25%, it will be zero sound output.i have downloaded a new media player with equalizer, nothing new, same low volume and i guess it's not related to media player, as if someone dialing me the ring tone also is very low.

Apr 26, 2010i realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

Aug 8, 2010As I use phone, it is really excellent. However, I am not able to exploit any features since there is no charge even after half day use.
I found that I had enabled search for WIFI and also enabled two of the settings for gps. After removing settings and changing display to lower brightness and not using internet it is better now. I took BSNL service in India for my vacation. They have 3g in very few places. I am not sure if the 3g or their SIM card is the culprit.
I want to buy car charger. I found Nokia dc-6 selling for Rs 950($20). Do I need to use only this? I called and found that Samsung one for Rs 250($6). Is it ok to use generic one or other brands?
What do I need to look for when I buy car charger for n900? I hope it works in USA also. Appreciate any help since I need to buy ASAP. I can exploit all features in my journeys since I am not driving here unlike in USA;-)

I bought a white iPhone 3gs and wanted to know is the phone still plagued with overheating and discoloration problems? Second question I am wondering if I buy a mophie juice pack air a coupple of months would that negatively affect my battery on the iPhone. What I mean by this is I heard that aged four hundred complete charges and draining of the iPhone battery the phones battery only holds 80% of the charge it use to. My question is does using a charger help increase time it takes the iphont to reach 400 chargeres quicker than it would if I did not use the charger?

It must come from the AC-15E charger shipped with the phone, since I tried the AC-8E charger from my previous phone (a C5-00 5MP) and the charging then worked. Yet before sending the phone back to the seller, I would like to be sure that the shipped charger is just faulty and that it does not come from anything else.
