I cannot find how to set up a repeat SMS tone for missed messages. It means you have to keep checked your phone all the time to make sure you have not mssied anything. Does anyone know how to do this? The tones on the phone are not load or long enough either.

Text messages are only being received when i switch the phone off then on again they come through. Also, if i have missed a call and hit the log or - show missed calls button, the phone says no missed calls/ no information.Has anyone else experienced this problem and know of a fix?

I've had my 5800XM since April lst year and without doubt has been the best phone and easiest to navigate of all the phone's I've ever owned..Until recently.About 3 weeks ago I updated to V31.0.101 and that's when my troubles started.
1. The alarm clock is unreliable. It can go off 2 minutes early, 5 minutes late or not at all.
2. Some SMS messages are not triggering a tone. I can get a message everything is fine, i get the message tone. The next time I look, I've had 3 more messages, but no message tones.
3. Emails. When trying to configure an email account, I'm being prompted to either go online (or maybe verify an online account), but why does it persist in only giving me mobile web and wap as an online option. I try to use Mobile Web and Wap as a last resort.. I have wifi in all my work locations.
4. when i do eventually configure an email account.. it doesn't remeber all the settings, so I have to go back and manually edit the entries.
As the title states, my text tone won't seem to change?

I have a problem in setting ring tone and message tone.When i trying to set ringing tone or message alert tone in the Profiles(General) it showing an error message as "Not enough memory to show all ringing tones. only tones in read only memory will be displayed". But my phone memory has 50.1 MB free space and My memory card has 1.2 GB memory space.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have recently upgraded a few 9630 Curves and 9900 Bolds to OS 7.1 (Curve to 7.1.0.336, Bold to 7.1.0.342) from T-Mobile UK. We have one pressing issue that happens on the upgraded curves and bolds. After a few consecutive missed calls when you go in to the messages application it does not show emails, it shows the Missed calls list. No matter how many times you back out and go back in, Missed calls (only) are displayed. Also the same when you go into the call log. it only shows missed calls. I am not aware of a keyboard shortcut to show missed calls only and do not think that is the case as it has happened to these devices too many times after upgrading to 7.1. Has anyone seen this or can provide any assistance?

I ramdonly don't receive all of my text messages or the ones that I sent out....I never had this problem with any of my previous DROID phones. I got my phone replaced twice, sim card, factory reset, etc....still having the same issue. My data connectivity keeps dropping as well. Has anyone else experience this same issue with this particular phone.

(don't ask) Now I want to consider a Droid 4, but I can't remember if the RAZR had a notification LED for missed calls & messages but the real question is does the Droid 4 have a notification LED? When I checked, it was my iris scanner staying on right after the missed call, until I press the power button once then again to turn lock screen off. View 11 Replies View RelatedSo, I noticed that when you go to edit contacts, you can customize the "MESSAGE TONE" for each contact you would like. To me, I assumed this meant that if they text you, whatever tone you selected would play. However, this does not appear to be the case. I set my wife to have a custom message tone that I transferred from my PC, however, when she texts me, the default text message noise happens.
Is there no way to customize specific tones for specific contacts? I just want to customize it so, let's say, if I don't have a second to grab my phone instantly, I will know who it is based on what tone that plays.
I'm wondering if it's the default text message program, the VERIZON MESSAGES+, that is not allowing this feature to work properly.
Need getting custom text tones to work? Do I need to download another text app? If so, what one would you recommend? This default VERIZON MESSAGES+ seems a bit bland.
I have had this phone for 2 days and now suddenly there is no ton or vibration whenever any messages are received. My tone profile is on 'Normal' and the settings are set for it to Vibrate + Tone whenever all messages are received. It was working fine yesterday!

This is useful because I can tell that a call did in fact end as opposed to it still going on when I thought I had ended the call and the person on the other being able to hear what's going on until I find out.
