After a missed call? I've had my phone get really (uncomfortably) hot in my pocket after missing a call. When I checked, it was my iris scanner staying on right after the missed call, until I press the power button once then again to turn lock screen off. It has done this with every build...00, .11, .29, and now with .36. My wife's 950XL doesn't do this.

It eventually locks again on its own, but only after 2 minutes (i.e., the time I set for it to sleep on its own). The normal behavior I expect is for the phone to lock immediately after the phone stops ringing, as there could be various accidents if the screen is on while in my pocket.
I'm running CM 11 (i.e., Android 4.4.2).
Is there any way to set the ringing time to a longer interval before the phone goes to "missed call"? My Lumia Icon plays only part of the ringtone. Before I can pick up the phone to answer, it's already gone to "missed call". Yes, I'm no kid, and actually put my phone down between calls.

I use the Hello feature to login, however it still prompts to scan iris even if the phone is unlocked already and I'm just waking up the phone.I can just bypass it by swiping up the screen, is this normal can it not be disabled when just waking the phone?

How do we find the missed call or new SMS when the screen is off? Manual checking frequently is not good option. Many people suggested in internet forums to make use of the middle window like touch key, such way that the touch switch can Illuminate or blink in such circumstance. If the battery is the concern, there can be a configuration option too, to set the blinking frequency , light intensity , etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo just got my 6p yesterday but it seems as though ambient display although turned on is not working ND when I answer a phone call my screen stays black during the call and won't wake up.
So apparently it's because the tempered glass screen protector is covering the proximity sensor. I still have to actually test that theory out once I get a new protector but from doing some digging that most def it. Just a heads up I used the one by super shieldz so don't buy that one until they make a cut out for the sensor.
When I take/get a phone call my display stays black when i remove it from my ear for at least 5 seconds even pressing the power button doesnt wake it up ... I am on stock 6.0 but i also got that problem on cm12,1

I do not see that the phone displays when I have missed a call or have a voicemail - all my previous phones had this feature. I find I am needing to check voicemail to be sure. Is there a way to change the settings so this is displayed when I turn on the phone?

I cant seem to find a setting for this besides the "Notifications on lock screen- Show content" which I have already enabled. I also have "Show caller information" enabled in the call settings.

I got a data usage warning message the next day, so I made sure it was still connected to wifi - then I got another warning message advising me more charges were being applied to the data plan. I called ATT and explained and was told that the 4GLTE runs all kinds of stuff in the background that uses data and to turn the data off. I did - since then, no more data usage - however - it will not stay connected to wifi after a time out unless it is plugged in. It still shows that its connected to wifi but its not.

has anyone experienced problems with their call log? It is set for 30 days but when I try to access "Missed Calls", "Received Calls" or "Dialled Numbers" nothing happens. Also when I press the green send key, no previously dialled numbers are shown. If I receive a missed call and press "show" I just get the home screen.

I tried all settings in the menu and also checked the folder (lots of calls) and had it shown in the message list as well. So calls are being recorded, just not shown in there at all! What to do? Can't be a memory issue since it's the new and free of any user data (photos music etc) so plenty of storage!

But recently, when I make a call, I get a message saying "Disabled Wi-Fi hotspot due to SIM subscription change".I can get it on again if I manually go in an toggle it back on after the call. But this is obviously not preferred to do while driving.

I've replaced my old 3109 phone with a C2-01 but I'm disappointed as some basic functionnalities disapearred. while idle the screen is black no way to see time if I miss a call ... no way to see it When I missed a call with my old 3109, the screen blinked as long as I unlocked the phone.How can I do the same thing with the C2-01 ?
If you also have a tip to get time while the phone is idle, that's perfect.
My xperia ray will notify me when I have missed a call. It only does this once, is this the phones characteristic or is there a setting to have it sound off continuosly until I have retreived it?
