Lumia 950 :: Iris Scanner Suddenly Not Working
Jan 18, 2016950 Dual SIM, unlocked in US with latest firmware and 0.63 insider build.Suddenly, the red light no longer goes on and windows hello just says "looking for you". Tried soft reset, set up windows hello again (doesn't work).

I use the Hello feature to login, however it still prompts to scan iris even if the phone is unlocked already and I'm just waking up the phone.I can just bypass it by swiping up the screen, is this normal can it not be disabled when just waking the phone?

When I checked, it was my iris scanner staying on right after the missed call, until I press the power button once then again to turn lock screen off. May 23, 2015I've been having problems with my touch screen. It will have lots of times when it doesn't register touch, like when I'm typing, scrolling, or when trying to pull down the quick settings/notification bar, it takes several tries. Also, when I set the phone flat it won't hardly register any touch at all.
I have tried the following to try and resolve it:
- complete factory reset
- changed launchers and keyboards
- making sure screen is clean/fingers aren't cold etc
- changing the long press settings for the phone

Jun 28, 2014so on my iphone 5 at the bottoms of the screen I can usually pull up a thing I think is called the task center and at the top when you pull it down I think it's called the notification center . Nov 12, 2014I have recently bought a 1520 (a HK variant with GBIE firmware) and on inserting a giffgaff sim I can only access 3g/4g (there is no 4g in my area so it shifts to 2g then back to 3g, 3g signal isn't great).
Any way to enable access to 2g in the settings, if this is going to be changed in denim or if it is best to change the firmware version?

Sep 15, 2014I dropped my Lumina 1520 over the weekend and trashed the screen and digitizer. Somewhat of a shock as it was less than a foot drop and I have the screen and the back protected with Ghost Armor. In any event, I have a new 1520 on the way.
My question is this. How do you transfer the device settings to the new phone? I have the option set to back it up to One Drive. I have not been successful finding a way to "restore" or download those settings.

Aug 30, 2014so I have an odd problem with a 1520. It's been updated to 8.1 Cyan OTA and everything was fine. I reset it (the usual way in Settings / About / Reset Your Phone) but now any lumia-specific settings are no longer available, so no options for motion data, or glance, etc etc.
Nokia Recovery Tool, I don't have a windows PC, so I can't go down that route.

Dec 30, 2015I'm randomly getting this message in a grey box in the middle of the screen on my AT&T 950: "Restart Required. Your Phone's settings or the SIM card have changed. Restart your phone to complete the installation." Then there are two buttons - "Restart" and "Later". Its not consistent, but I just rebooted as it said, launched the phone app and it appeared again. It doesn't seem to be affecting any functionality though. It appears to have started once I installed the SD card. In fact, I'd argue that a lot of the glitches on my 950 started after I installed the SD card.
