Yesterday late night i bought my 950...so in morning i was configuring my phone i realized that i don't have hey cortana option under the notebook's settings...also i found hey cortana app from store...but store says that app can not be installed because of company policies..

There's no MMS APN option in settings, and Access Point says it won't work in Lumia Denim. What can he do to send MMS?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was browsing the options under the settings and tried selecting 'feedback to nokia'. A prompt came up (can't remember the exact wording) saying there was a problem with two buttons. One button was to uninstall and the other was to take you to the store entry for this item. The text of the prompt suggested going to the store and trying to install again. If that failed it indicated to select uninstall and then reinstall the 'app' (really a setting option). If I picked the store button the only option I had was to share this app. So I went back to settings and selected the uninstall button. But now I can't find the 'feedback to nokia' when searching the store. So I was wondering how I can reinstall this item under settings.

View 9 Replies View RelatedUpdated my 1520 to the latest TP. Full format post update, etc. Got everything up and running. Cortana. My goodness. It opened every few seconds. I got to the point that I hated using the phone at all because Cortana would just launch, interrupting anything I was doing. Almost went back to 8.1 until I remembered to check the screen sensitivity settings. Yep. Win10 sets it to high for some reason. Changed to normal and it's worked tremendously.
Go to settings and Extras. You will find an old 8.1 menu there. Change in "touch."I was about to throw this phone across the room. Now if they would let us disable the search button all together or require a ~3 second press and hold to launch Cortana. Until then, for the love of god set sensitivity to normal to keep Cortana at bay.
I can't find a way to activate Cortana. I just updated WP 8.1 to Denim update. I have set language to English-USA.
Restarted couple of times, but unable to find any mention of cortana in apps.
On 8.1, you had a music icon at the top right for Cortana which basically acted as a built in Shazam to identify music. Currently the only way I know you can access that is to hit the microphone icon with Cortana so she's "listening" for you. At that point, the music icon appears in the top right.
The problem is, when I'm in my car and I hear a song on the radio, hitting that microphone turns off the music because I'm connected to my car via bluetooth. Is there a way around this?
If I use Hey Cortana when the screen is locked it completely bypasses the PIN and iris scanner and leaves the phone unlocked after Cortana answers my query. Security flaw? I do have Cortana set for my voice only.

I did two soft resets, (long pressing the power button, that's what it does right?) Same behavior. web search suggestions are working fine. whenever I click on one of them it closes itself. I think it just started today.
I have unlocked 950/dual-sim/usa/ build xx.29 / no firmware upgrade. When I open edge and do the search in the address line it works, opens bings for the search phrase.

If that happens after the message is read and I return to the music the phone starts to play thru the speakers and the headphones.at the same time. There is a significant reduction in the volume thru the headphones but it still plays. I have tried different headphones and the problem persist over the podcast app as well.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I bought a G3 (a white D855 32gb) from Dubai a few weeks ago to replace my 16gb UK version.However, it doesn't have an option in network settings for 4G. My SIM is definitely 4G enabled as it worked fine on my last phone and I can get around this using the 4G switcher app, but it defaults back to GSM / WCDMA option on reboot.
The phone has just been updated to version V10i-AME-XX (an Arab version I believe) as I was hoping that would fix it, but still no option for 4G. what I can see, there should be a 4th LTE / 4G option at the top. Why I can't see it? Using a UK (o2) SIM in an international phone perhaps?
My HTC One M8 is still on 4.4.2 and I'd like to update it. However there is no option to update the phone in Settings or in About. There is the AT&T Software Update but that says it is up to date.

I bought an iphone 4s from a retailer, i found out that the iphone 4s was originally came from UAE with a carrier etisalat. so called etisalat and i was informed by the Representive that the facetime was really banned in the country and was remove with the IOS 5.0.1 as defualt but they also verified that the iphone is factory unlocked, then i was advised that all i need to do is to restore the my iphone and i will have my facetime back since it is not banned in this country (Hongkong). so I tried to update my iPhone to iOS 5.1 however facetime setting still missing! check restriction no facetime, check phone setting and theres no facetime activation option. tried to factory reset the phone and choose country and region facetime still not available. So what i did is called apple and i talk to apple care Representative a very rude Agent and loves to Interupt his customers. i was told that whenever i update or restore my iPhone it contact the UAE apple server. and it doesn't make any sense im not in UAE im in Honghong. So i ask the rep. what can we do to make itunes contact hongkong or singapore apple server instead. Apple cannot give me a direct answer.So ask him if it something to with IMEI , Model or Serial Number, and they cannot give a direct answer again..... Come on Apple whats the sense of you releasing a factory Unlock if theres a Restrictions i Know that it the Law of UAE but you should do something About based on the location of the Customer....

I am trying to update my iphone 4 with the IOS5 update and its just not happening. After finally finding a program to transfer my music, etc off my phone to my pc i tried to do it through itunes but it keeps timing out, over and over again. So I have now gone to the apple site to find a way - it says you can do it through your phone using the 'Software Update' option in your Settings on your phone. However, I DON'T HAVE THE 'SOFTWARE UPDATE ' option in my settings - its just not there

The only option it is giving me is to use a work email with a Blackberry Enterprise Server. I have no idea what that is. All I wanna do is have my msn email address set up.
