950 Dual SIM, unlocked in US with latest firmware and 0.63 insider build.Suddenly, the red light no longer goes on and windows hello just says "looking for you". Tried soft reset, set up windows hello again (doesn't work).

After a missed call? I've had my phone get really (uncomfortably) hot in my pocket after missing a call. When I checked, it was my iris scanner staying on right after the missed call, until I press the power button once then again to turn lock screen off. It has done this with every build...00, .11, .29, and now with .36. My wife's 950XL doesn't do this.

I use the Hello feature to login, however it still prompts to scan iris even if the phone is unlocked already and I'm just waking up the phone.I can just bypass it by swiping up the screen, is this normal can it not be disabled when just waking the phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had yellow Lumia 920 now for about 3 weeks and everything worked just fine. Yesterday evening (european time) I saw update reminders on the "shop" tile and there were 3 or 4 of them (Nokia drive+ and some others that I don't remember). I was doing something and didn't give a thought but just let the updates to be downloaded and installed and they went fine as far as I know. Today when I tried to take photos the camera suddenly dosen't work anymore.
No matter if I click the hardware button or the camera app tile, it just flip back to live tiles. Camera doesn't work on Bing search either and not on any apps that utilized the camera.I wonder if anyone else have this problem or what I should do next. I have restart the phone a few times but it didn't work. I haven't hard reset it because I have so many stuff in the phone, if there is a easy way to do it I rather not hard reset it.
After the recent mix radio update,while playing songs it suddenly stops and starts working after restart?

I've set it up with 5 different prints so I can unlock with either hand but recently it's not recognising any of my fingerprints. Today it;s working maybe one in every thirty attempts. I've removed fingerprints from the memory, when trying to re-add them it tells me to wipe the sensor/finger but both are clean.
View 9 Replies View RelatedA few months back I flashed xtrestolite to my g920i and have since flashed odex, deodex and several aroma versions in different combinations. Since the initial flash the scanner has not worked. Currently using the latest unikernal, though was using a different one when I first flashed. TWRP latest too.
When I try *#0* and try the sensor test I see "unfortunately, hwmoduletest has stopped working" lTrying to utilise the scanner will always show "an error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor, if this message appears repeatedly please restart your device" though restarting has never worked. I have not tried going back to stock as my carrier rom is 5.0.2 still.
A few days ago I bought a new Xperia Z5 Premium from a local reseller, and it works just fine, most of the time.Yesterday I noticed that the fingerprint scanner works pretty bad most of the time, and sometimes it chooses to not work at all.It just refuses to recognise my fingerprint, and I've deleted and registered it over and over again.I've now added three registered prints of my thumb, and it still is extremely wonky. (The sensor, and my thumb, are both clean and unharmed).I just searched the forum, and lots of people seem to have the same issue from a few months back.

When I woke up today my fingerprint scanner stopped working. It have done so before, but fixed itself. Today I have not been able to unlock phone once, if I don't delete current fingerprints and add a new. It then works for half an hour or so and then it can't recognize my finger anymore.
I have tried to wipe cache on Fingerprint scanner and wipe normal cache + Dalvik cache.
The finger print scanner stopt working. But when trying the pincode it says the pincode is not the right one. I'm sertain the code is the good one.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI love my S5. Have been using the fingerprint scanner to unlock without a problem since day 1.Today, it wouldn't recognize my prints at all. I went in to try to re-register them, and it won't allow me to. It asks for my alternate password, and doesn't recognize it. I know I'm typing in the correct password.
If I click on change alternate password, it accepts it, and asks me to type in a new password (twice). Upon the second time, an error message pops up saying there is an issue with the scanner and to restart the device, which I've now done three times.For now, I was able to change to pattern unlock.
My finger print scanner suddenly stopped working out of nowhere. I tired rebooting the phone and a factory reset.Nothing seems to work. The fingerprint scanner will work once in a while but it's rare.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife turned her Galaxy S5 on yesterday, slid her finger across the scanner to open the phone and it came up with the print not recognised message (as it has many times before). This time however, it did not allow her to scan her print again. the screen changed and asked her for a back up password, not a problem as she has done this a fair few times too, it just seemed strange that it only allowed one stroke of the scanner before asking for this. We have tried her back up password many times (and any other password we could think of) but the phone will not unlock, nor will it return to the normal lock screen and allow her to try her print again.
We have logged onto Android device manager and tried the lock screen hack (to obtain another password) but it just tells us that the screen is already locked so another password is not necessary.
My Lumia 900's display suddenly went off. No, it didnt fall down or nothing of that sory happened. Everything else seems to be working, the phone is beeping on email alerts. I can connect to the computer and zune also shows it as connected. All the three buttons are lit as well. I tried restarting, hard reset everything - no improvement.Also tried restoring to previous version of software via Zune.

I had put it up for charge early in the morning around 4 and when I got up at 8 and held it, it was hot, and I wasn't sure what was going wrong because there was nothing open. So I switched it off for a while and let it cool. When I switched it back on, the battery went down to 51% and now I've put it up for charge again. I had turned on Hey Cortana last night but since the phone started acting up this morning, I decided to switch it off. It's still warm though, not sure why. Also, it keeps giving me an error about the phone having low storage even though I've only used around 7.9 GB out of the 29 GB available.

I go to sleep, and it's working normally, then in the morning I push the "wake" button and the screen comes on, usually showing a time from a few hours earlier, and then it's frozen. I have to do a reset to restart the phone and then it works fine. I thought at first it was because I was leaving it on the charging pillow but it happens even if it's just sitting on the table.

Previously the battery was great and after full charge it usually showed battery life 1day or even longer. This Tuesday I used camera a lot. The handset did get warmer because of flash and focus assist lamp. After that night the battery darin rate became really fast. After one overnight charge 100% battery only shows 9hours and drain rate was like 10% per hour. why this occured suddently? Do I need to reset the phone to factory?

I cannot send or receive picture messages ever since I attempted to send a picture message during a phone call. I can attach pictures onto a message but once I hit send, the message does not go through and instead I get a red X next to my message. I did not change any of my settings or updated anything. Picture messaging was working fine up until that day. I tried resending my service books and trying to resend a picture message but it still doesn't work. I put my sim card into my old blackberry curve 8900 and tried sending a picture message and it worked, so I am assuming that this is not a network problem but a problem with my bold. I am using an unlocked verizon blackberry bold 9930 on the t-mobile network. I am running OS 7.1 bundle 1737(v.7.1.0.580, Platform 5.1.0.429) (I updated to this OS after my failed attempt of sending picture messages) I also restored by bold to factory settings and resent the service books to see if it would work but it did not. I did a battery pull to see if that changed anything, but I still can't send picture messages.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter months of no problems my Lumia 1020 is suddenly misbehaving: the cell signal strength is fluctuating all over the place, from no service to 5 bars, sometimes it even switches to Edge. It will stay at a given strength for a while (tens of seconds) and then change.
Some symptoms:
- I'm using it on Straight Talk (AT&T towers), but I see the same thing with a T-Mobile sim.
- The same two sim cards work fine in my old iPhone 4
- It keeps happening as I bike around town, so it's not just an area with weak signal
- A soft reset doesn't fix it.
- I'm running WP8.1 Dev Preview, latest update (I think that's update 3?)
- Everything else works (wifi, bluetooth)
