Nokia :: Device Messaging Stopped Receiving Emails
Jul 23, 2010
Nokia messaging decided to stop receiving emails last week, even when i clicked send receive. Yesterday i reflashed and today i deleted and readded the email accounts on the email.nokia.com site. My emails came through and i thought it was fixed, and now, just half hour later, it's stopped receiving again.
My blackberry has been working fine for ages, but has suddenly stopped receiving emails. I can still send emails okay. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back again, but that doesn't help.
I was having no trouble receiving messages and e-mail updates from my PC, but yesterday they stopped for no reasonable there be something wrong with my curve as I never had any problems before.
Today got an email on my phone saying "Verify email@address.com password" the email being my email address. I attempt to do this and it asks me to login which I try to do but it will not let me. I go to the BlackBerry Internet Service page where it tells me to go and i cannot get anywhere. I guess I cant remember my user name and there's nowhere to email for help.
For some reason this evening I'm not receiving emails on my new Bold. I'm able to send emails and access the internet and BBM is working fine. It has been working fine since I got it. I've done the routing tables thing and resent service books. Any other ideas? Edit: I've just noticed I'm not receiving my facebook notifications either.
At 4:30am this morning, my email was working as normal, but when I checked again at 7am, it was not receiving emails, although I can send them to myself. I had my wife try from her work email and I have gone to my laptop and all email functions are normal. Do you need to know that I am on Verizon.
My blackberry has suddenly stopped sending & receiving emails, cannot work out why, have not changed any settings. When I took it in to the T-mobile shop they said I needed to install some updates, which I did, but it still isn't getting or sending any emails!
It has been working fine, but has stopped automatically sending or receiving emails. I have taken out the sim card and hard rebooted, I have resent the service books, but it still isn't working.
I've stopped receiving emails on my BB & not sure why I haven't changed anything on the handset nor the computer. How I get my emails to come back. I still receive them through my computer as normal.
I've suddenly stopped receiving emails on my Bold 9900 (3 accounts: Hotmail, Gmail and a school email). I'm not too sure when exactly it happened, but if i'm not mistaken it was soon after I set up my email accounts on my Playbook. I've tried all the common solutions like sending the service books etc.
my blackberry curve has stopped receiving emails and i can't browse the internet , i'm not using a blackberry package at the min just WiFi, i wiped my phone and now when i try to set up my email it is asking for a "Enterprise Activation password" and i can't go on till i have one. and the browser still isn't working
I am new to this forum and would like to thank you for any help in advance. My problem is that my BB Storm has stopped receiving and sending emails. I worked perfectly. I have recently added an couple of new addresses, they were working very well to, but now nothing.
My Curve suddenly stopped receiving text messages and it shows I have email messages, however, I am unable to access them. I also have lost the ability to send text messages and emails, as well.Tried removing the battery and resetting that way, and have also done a soft reboot per AT&T's instructions.AT&T has also reset my registration (or something like that) and have verified that nothing in my service plan has changed.
I have suddenly stopped receiving my emails to my blackberry torch 9880. I also cannot send. I've researched on the net and I've done power off and also battery pull. I've tried going into the setup and email settings but it will not let me check my settings.
Right after the ICS update to my D4, my IMAP email stopped receiving emails. I kept getting an error saying "username or password incorrect." I tried rebooting the phone and deleting/recreating the email account but I still get the same message. I didn't change the password to my email account in the 30-40 minutes it took to update my phone.
My last message from my hotmail email account to my device was as of 6 pm today.....but I've been seeing emails come into my inbox since then through regular login on the web?...I resent service books and rebooted my device just so I know I'm not going crazy....anyone else with hotmail/msn experiencing this?
i got the new phone about a week ago and the experience has not been good.after a rough start, i got it to work for a few days. it behaved what i expected it to be until about a day ago when all of a sudden it stopped receiving and sending messages.i power off, took off battery, etc and tried to reboot it - it didn't work. all settings seemed to be ok, what am i missing?
I seem not to understand but my blackberry 8520 device has stopped receiving email messages and I ve tried setting up another one yet its still not working. Username and password incorrect is what I always get as reply. Please can anyone help me out cos am seriously worried about this.
When trying to sync pc & BB, receive the message that the desktop software will not communicate with the device. I have uninstalled the software and re-installed and still no same message.
Ive had my bb curve for almost 2 years now and all of a sudden my emails have stopped coming to my device, ive tried going into the email setup and its not recognising my user name or password.
On Friday the 23rd, Emails stopped getting pushed down to my device. In the Gmail account access logs, you can clearly see "68.171.236.171" checking in every so-often, and that IP resolves to bda-68-171-236-171.bise.eu.blackberry.com, so the Gmail-BIS link is (homefully) working. After two phone calls to O2, they have told me that there are "500 emails in the queue" to go down to my device. Well, where the hell have these come from, since I have around 180 emails (GitHub and Heroku post-push and post-deploy hooks) waiting in the inbox, and so I am left wondering where the 320-ish emails have arrived from in the BIS queue.Anyway, the person at O2 told me to delete all of the emails off of the device as it may be too big for emails to be pushed down. She also said that if it didn't work I would have to take it back into the shop I got it for repair. Big unhappy face since the shop we got it from is quite a long drive away and I will be without my phone on holiday next week.
For some reason, I can't receive emails on my @sprint.blackberry.net account. My Yahoo, AOL and Gmail work just fine. I signed up for a BB address on my phone's browser. When I try to log in on my desktop, it says my device is not accessible and I must visit the website on my phone. I have tried sending emails TO my phone and sending emails FROM my phone. Neither one works.
My phone has stopped receiving emails and Facebook updates from the Facebook app!! How do I fix this? Receving emails is a big part of the Blackberry's function.
Been using this for ages, roaming and all over - always convincing folk that its a thinking persons BB. But it seemed to have stopped working on thurs 4th for some reason. Have the green circle and all the screen looks good, all other apps work fine FB and Twitter.
It would seem that there are a number of people with E72 and Nokia Messaging (email.nokia.com) that have recently started to experience problems with their service. I can now add myself to that list.
As of yesterday Nokia Messaging stopped updating on my E72. I have made no changes and not installed anything on my E72 for weeks. However, Nokia Messaging is working properly on my E71 (I use the same Nokia Messaging account on both my E71 and my E72).
These are the specifications of my E72:
Product code: 0592842
Software version: 021.024
Software version date: 17-Oct-2009
Custom version: 021.024.261.01
Custom version date: 27-Oct-2009
Language set: 02.01
Model: E72-1

Incidentally, I am an IT-consultant and one of my rapidly expanding clients has asked me for alternatives to their current BlackBerry Enterprise Server solution due to the high costs associated with their setup. I was tempted to suggest E72 and Nokia Messaging as cost efficient alternative to BlackBerry Bold and BES. However, the low reliability of Nokia Messaging as well as no dedicated support has gotten me to think twice before I dare to suggest that to my clients.
