IPhone :: Can Cancel Text Message While It Is Sending?
Aug 11, 2010I'm a new iPhone user as of the iP4 launch so this is probably a beaten question but the search I did only came up with very old results and failed to ask the second part of my question: If the answer is still no, what if you are quick enough to go into edit mode and delete the text before it finishes sending? Would that cancel it?

Apr 7, 2010I bought a Nokia 5230 yesterday and I'm already experiencing an annoying problem.I told people on Facebook to text me their name so I could just put them into Contacts which I then did. But their names doesn't show in Inbox, only their phone numbers. What the **bleep**?I somehow added a friend of mine which IS showing, but I did that manually. I then tried adding some of the others manually with no result - still showing only their numbers.Whats wrong?

Nokia :: 5230 - Battery - GPS Is Useless - Clock Is Not Showing The Right Time
Mar 15, 2010I'm about to loose hope on my Nokia 5230. The first was the battery problem. It was empty in a day and a half on very moderate use (swiched off during the night). When I recalibrated the battery the things got better but still far away from the specs on Nokia site. And yes; I have tried all the tricks to save the energy (GSM only, 30% screen brightness, no bluetooth,....).
The second I discovered, that the GPS is basicly useless. It wont lock on the sattelites no matter what.The GPS was one of the main reasons to buy 5230. If someone got lucky to find some sattelites - how good is the accuracy? Is in the range of 6 meters or less as with Garmin?
Now I have discovered, that the clock is not showing the right time. It is loosing minutes as someone said to it that one hour has only 59 or 58 minutes. I still have to discover the logic how the clock is counting minutes. I have tried with and without automatic time update. By the way; the phone has the last firmware.
So if the clock is useless then the alarm is useless and I can't use it on my buisness trips.
Is there anyone else with the same problems? Is there any solution to this clock problem? Some settings I've missed?
Someone would say; for the price everything can not be perfect.
So, is this the logic (Nokia logic):
-we will put in the GPS, but because of a low price it won't find some sattelites
-we will put the battery in the phone but because of the low price it won't last more than two days
-the phone will have the clock but because of the low price it will not show the right time

May 12, 2010I recently switched to T-Mobile from Verizon and got the Nokia 5230 aka Nokia Nuron. After the first week my phone stopped alerting me when i received text messages. First the alert tone stopped.than the pop new text message stopped and than the little envelope that appears in the right hand corner stopped.Basically I'd be going to my inbox every 5 mins to see if i had any new messages. I called Nokia support and after trying everything else, we ended up reseting the whole phone.That worked...for about 3 days.Than the problem came back.So i called again,tried everything again and nothing. Jan 12, 2012So, got excited about the MotoACTV this past Saturday and bought online through Motorola. Realized soon after that my local REI had it in stock and I had a xmas gift certificate. Went to REI and purchased it - (Canceled my order for the Garmin 910XT in the process) Went back to the site to try and cancel my order but the 'Cancel items or order' button on my order page wasnt' functional. No biggie, I'll call. After being passed around to the same 3 depts TWICE, I was finally told the ecommerce section was closed for the weekend. Once again, I understand that.I then call on Monday, they tell me the order hasn't yet shipped but I'm not allowed to cancel it at that point. Don't quite understand and getting a bit frustrated at this point but whatever, I'll deal. Customer rep tells me that they'll issue a return slip and email it to me.
OK, I'm good with that.Wednesday comes and still no email with return slip. I call, go through the same 3 depts again and get someone else who tells me that it takes a while to get the return slip but I'll have it within 24 hours.24 hours goes by, I call again and get hung up on 3 times in the process before I can ever get to anyone. Once I get someone on the line, they tell me that it should be to me within the next couple of days... A RETURN SLIP?Once I finally lost my temper a bit, they said it would be 'escalated' and that I should be receiving it within a few hours... we'll see. They also let me know that I could not return it without the receipt.Meanwhile, I've completely soured on the one that I purchased and I'm considering returning it as well and changing my order back to the Garmin. By the way, I called Garmin's support team just to compare... night and day!
