seems can't reply to discussions on the forum. when i select reply get a blank screen on my xoom. is this happenining to anyone else. uninstalled/re-installed the help app and rebooted my xoom several times and not working.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a meeting invitation sent from Microsoft Hotmail / Microsoft Windows Live Mail / Microsoft Outlook to my Google Gmail account, I am unable to accept or decline the invitation from the Android 4.0.4 Gmail App. The Gmail App displays the email message as having an ".ics" attachment. Clicking the ".ics" attachment opens the event in the Android 4.0.4 Calendar App. Unfortunately, neither the Gmail App nor the Calendar App provide a way to respond to the sender with an indication of accept or decline. Further, the event on the calendar loses the information about the event organizer and instead incorretly shows me as the creator of the event rather than as an attendee.
A related issue is that the Calendar App insists on storing the event on the "Device calendar." More information on saving the event to the default calendar is described in the post "Problem saving meeting invites on RAZR." Android Issue 1257, "Calendar should support opening iCal .ics files" is also relevant.
Is there any way to use the ATRIX HD in a way that is compatible with iCalendar (.ics) format invitations? Test System: Motorola Atrix HD, Android 4.0.4.

So, I tried something else: I usually use an application named SwiFTP (an FTP server) on my Android devices. But I don't understand why, this app and all the others FTP apps I tried won't work on my Xoom 2ME. I suspect some kind of Motorola's internal firewall.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've suddenly started getting problems with my laptop seeing my Xoom. when I connect via the supplied usb cable my laptop makes the "bing bong" noise so I know it is aware of the Xoom but it no longer appears in the file explorer window. Also, in a different kind of problem, when I tried to pair the Xoom with my " Document to go" app it won't see the Xoom either. It bleats on about going to settings on the Xoom and checking the usb settings but there is nothing in the Xoom settings menu about usb at all.transfering files to/from the Xoom to my laptop is getting to be a right pain in the backside. Any solutions before one of these items gets thrown in the bin? I just want to transfer files, Office docs mainly, to my Xoom. How hard can it be?

I really now need it to connect to Verizon. When I take it into the store the techies are at a loss. Should I contact Motorala directly? I receive this error: Activation failed, Unable to activate mobile data service. To try activiation again touch Try again. You can activate your mobile data service later in Settings under Wireless & networks > Mobile networks.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am unable to download, view or save zip attachments. I cannot do it in gmail or the stock email app using a pop account. There is no view, preview, download, or save button. There is only an "info" button in both the gmail and stock email apps. When I select "Info" it says this file cannot be downloaded or saved.
I have tried several different file managers including ES, Astro, AndroZip and All Downloads but still get the same result. All other attachments work fine
It's wireless and has 3.2.1 installed, and has build # HTK75D. last week it was showing up on My Computer and I was able to save all in the system. Today I'm unable to access it in My Computer, in fact when I plug in the USB plug into the computer with Win 7 Pro it does not give a bing sound that sounds normally when a USB plug it plugged in. the same result when I tried a different hard drive. All my other USB toys work OK. I even installed "MotoHelper_2.0.53_Driver_5.2.0" with no positive results.

View 10 Replies View Relatedi have a xoom 32gb wifi only device that i purchased from woot.com and i received the update notice to 3.1. i have downloaded and attempted to install several times now, each attempt has failed.
see attached image for error I have tried a Factory Reset (Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Data Reset), as well as factory reset at boot. No success.
I also tried the "wipe cache" command at boot and this did not result in a successful installation either. The only other choice at boot that makes sense is to "install update from usb", and when selected it goes to sdcard.
At this point I am seriously considering rooting, unlocking and then updating?
Unable to install or update apps. While attempting to update, received the following msg: "Update for xxxxxx could not be downloaded due to error(921)". Xoom WiFi only, Android ver. 4.0.4, Build # IMM76 Android phone is able to install and update apps on my home WiFi network.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently got new Xoom tablet from my senior and I connected it to my Win 7 - 32 bit laptop via a USB cable and it says the device drivers are not installed.I have tried:
1) Enabling USB debugging mode
2) Downloading motohelp drivers from your site the latest one.
3) Switch my tablet on and off and on
4) Restart my machine couple of times.
5) Tried on all the available USB slots on my laptop.
6) Updating drivers via Device Manager ->Update driver.
7) Followed all other solutions which are mentioned on forums and internet.It worked on my Win 7 64 bit in my office but not even getting detected on my IBM T461 Win 7 32 bit laptop.I used USB cable ofmy HTC desire smart phone both times.
I am unable to download a rented video. I'm being told that I cant because it thinks I am rooted. I am not and have never been rooted, and Didnt have this problem before the latest soak test.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a strange issue on my Wifi Xoom (running the recently pushed ICS). I recently installed an app (the Caustic demo) from the market. Caustic sets up a basic file structure in storage for storing instrument sample files. Well, after uninstalling the demo, I went to remove the leftover files (via ASTRO) and it said "Error deleting files". I dig into the subdir and tried some individual files, but got the same result. I tried another file manager (EStrongs) but got the same result. I then tried mounting on Windows and deleting that way. It appeared to work (crunched for a second, then the files disappeared without any errors given). But the files still show up in ASTRO, and when I re-mount on Windows, they're still there.
Oh and this is only happening with this directory. Other files and directories can be deleted just fine. Is there a problem with my Xoom, or did the app author do something improper with setting up the directory?
After my update to 3.2 I am unable to play any movies from my gallery that are .mp4 or .m4v format that worked before. When you click on a movie the Screen Fades but nothing plays.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a WiFi only Xoom, purchased and being used in the UK.I am unable to purchase and install Paid Apps at all, which is something I expected as an advertised feature.The symptoms I am experiencing include:No "Best Selling Apps" displayed in the Market App.Unable to find any Paid Apps at all through searching.o "Books" tab displayed.Attempting to buy via the web version of the Market I see the message "This item cannot be installed on your device."Most Free Apps install ok.A few common Apps that I can find via search (e.g. Flash, Blogger) claim they cannot be installed "in your devices Country".I cannot find the Kindle App at all even though Amazon have confirmed it is Free and available in the UK.
If I use a VPN to connect through our USA office, I see slightly different results:I can see "Best Selling Apps" and "Books". can search for Paid Apps.If I attempt to purchase a Paid App I receive the message "The item you were attempting to purchase could not be found."I am able to search for and install Flash and Kindle without a problem, although Blogger still complains about devices CountryI have attempted a number of recommended fixes, including:Clearing the Market cache and data;Reboot;Factory Reset. do not want to root my device at this point and so would rather avoid the use of such workarounds as Market Enabler.This is very disappointing and I'm not exactly happy about this situation, even though the rest of the tablet seems to be an excellent device.
Unable to open any web links from an app or gmail ....started to happen a few minutes ago..these links are embedded in a email or from an app like pulse etc. I have stock broswer and dolphin HD ...and I select which one to displayed when the browser selection pop up window comes up.
Now the selection popup window does not come at all...and the screen goes about 50% dark and when touched anywhere on the screen ...it comes to normal brightness...
The latest version of Astro File Manager seems to be able to delete files from the external SD card. I haven't had time to play with it fully-can anybody else confirm?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently missing photo and music, not really missing them, If I open ES File Explorer and open .sdcard/DCIM/Camera all my photo are there. They just don't show up in Gallery. I can open them from ES File Explorer fine. Same with Music, I can open /sdcard/Music and all my music is there but when I open the Music App, it reports"You don't have any music in your library." I can open any song from the file explorer.Also I can no longer see any files in storage when I connect my Xoom via USB to my Win7 pc, the internal storage shows up but is empty.

All of a sudden, the screen dims, (with like a blueish tint) but does nothing.I have tried clearing the cache, a hard reset (volume up and on button) and even used the reset to default in the browser settings. This is both for the stock browser and Dolphin Browser HD.
