Motorola Xoom :: Stock Browser Sudden Close
Jun 16, 2011The stock browser on my 3g MZ601 UK Xoom running honeycomg 3.01 frequently closes suddenly, sometimes woth force close window poping up.The problem persists after hard reset and unticking google option to re-install settings after app is re-installed just in case.

Oct 26, 2011Ever since getting my XOOM back from Motorola after the 4G upgrade (Android 3.2.2, non-Root) I get a force close on the Market when trying to install Documents To Go 3.0 Main application. I can download and install the Pro Key which I bought from the Market with no issues. I have tried the Factory Reset and I still get same issue.

Nov 14, 2011No matter if I've just rebooted my xoom or if It's been on for a while, whenever I decide to suft the web using the stock browser I have the ability to for maybe 5-10 minutes and then it will just randomly crash and I have to open it again. Aug 9, 2011Unable to open any web links from an app or gmail ....started to happen a few minutes ago..these links are embedded in a email or from an app like pulse etc. I have stock broswer and dolphin HD ...and I select which one to displayed when the browser selection pop up window comes up.
Now the selection popup window does not come at all...and the screen goes about 50% dark and when touched anywhere on the screen ...it comes to normal brightness...
Motorola Xoom Unlocked :: Stock Boot Image For MZ601
Apr 21, 2011I received my shiny new 3G Xoom (MZ601) yesterday and decided to root it. I successfully unlocked the bootloader and then flashed the rootboot.img file. Unfortunately on rebooting it hung at the Motorola logo. I tried a couple of other boot images, such as Tiamat 1.3.1 and ocboot but all with the same result. Obviously something is different about the European 3G Xoom which makes these US boot images fail.
I managed to "sort of" recover using one of the stock US boot images (can't remember which one!) but my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are no longer working. What I would really like to do is revert to a completely stock MZ601 image. I see that the Verizon stock images are available on motodev but no mention of MZ601.

When I click on a link and that tries to open a new tab, I get an error message that states I have reached my 50 tab maximum. Dec 20, 2011The apps, always starting with the Market App, displays error message to force close within 10 minutes of turning it on. I only had a few apps installed (from the Android Market Place) which I have uninstalled, but it's still doing it. The longer you leave the Xoom on, the more apps it "needs" to force close. And, it won't save updates or some apps after a restart so I have to download everything again. Kind of a pain with Angry Birds .
Will I need to do the dreaded memory wipe and lose everything?

Jun 18, 2012I've had this phone for about a week now and being more comfortable with it I'm using more features and have an issue with the music app and widget. It wont play all my music. The app will play each song individually when manually selected but when on the song list is plays one to two songs after in order then jumps to the songs listed under "I" and repeats that segment (the songs that title starts with I) instead of staying in order, it has also done this with "M" once, have tried clearing cashe and data of the app with no change in result. Has anyone else had this problem (P.S. I'ma give up saying I wont by Motorola anymore, had the perfect chance to switch over when I signed the contract for 4G service and... bought Moto, just the brand me and my family have used as long as I can remember)

It was rooted so it was easy to disable those apps that I didn't want to ever start. Now, that I have upgraded to the Bionic, I can't play/pause or forward/back using the volume buttons nor my BT headset without it starting the stock player.

I run 25 to 30 miles a week and the music player is really getting annoying! I've tried 4 different sets of headphones and it's definitely not the headphones themselves maybe something internal. Also on my second phone here. The first one started randomly resetting itself, also had skipping issues. This one only has the skipping issues so far.
