I was browsing on my bionic when I went to open a new webpage the browser stated I had reach my window limits so I went into menu, windows and when I click on the minus sign to close the windows it simply opened the page and won't close them.

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
I was having a issue with the Slacker app that came preinstalled on my Bionic. The app will freeze for about 5-10 seconds and then I have to force close it. I did try clearing the data and that did not work. I removed the updates for the app and that seems to have taken care of it. The app started acting funny after the .902 update and eventually became unusable until I did the above.

I've just recently noticed that whenever I go to the app menu and hit the search key, I always get a Force Close with the error: "The application Homescreen (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." It then opens the last app I was running. I tried to adjust the search settings to include/not include the apps. I have cleared out the search apps data. I am not running any other replacement homescreens or search apps
View 15 Replies View Relatedwhy Bionics don't have the stock Sound Recorder app. When scrolling through the "All Apps" list in Manage apps, it's there, but the size is zero bytes. I'd much rather use the stock app if possible. It's the bestone by far.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAny one found a way (w/o rooting) to disable the stock music player? I discovered PowerAmp a while back while using my D1. It was rooted so it was easy to disable those apps that I didn't want to ever start. Now, that I have upgraded to the Bionic, I can't play/pause or forward/back using the volume buttons nor my BT headset without it starting the stock player.
View 11 Replies View RelatedThe browser just closes and when I reopen it all browser windows have closed.While this isn't really that big a deal in of itself, I just received the phone two days ago so I am worried that it signifies something bigger!Otherwise this phone is awesome and I don't want to return it if this is just a bug that can be fixed...but if this is the start of a crazy amount of problems like I had with the Motorola Droid X I want to bail early! Before I had the Motorola Droid X I had the Motorola Droid and it was always nice and stable!!It never did this with my Motorola Droid X and it doesn't do it with any other websites I have found. View 9 Replies View RelatedFor those of you who want to view websites in desktop mode on your mobile I would first recommend you just use Dolphin browser. They have an easy toggle add on that you can go back and forth between mobile and desktop modes very quickly. If you must have the stock Android browser I have a trick for you too. Open up stock browser, in the url type "about:debug" Nothing will appear to happen. Now press menu>More>Settings>(in debug area) UAString>Desktop. You may have to refresh the Page for the new settings to take effect. Now you are surfing in desktop mode!

The stock browser User Agent is still accessible through about:debug but most sites are still redirected to a mobile version even when "Desktop" is selected. my favorite browser wont deliver a non-mobile view unless you select the UA as I-Pad. That can't be good. Anyway....all was well on my OG Droid and now I'm about to give up on this dilemma and just install DolphinHD or something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOne of the main reasons I like the physical keyboard is the use of keyboard shortcuts. I noticed that two shortcuts conflict with each other in the stock browser. In a form field of a website, when I press the menu + v combination to paste text, it activates the "save pages" command instead. If you press menu -> more, there is a "save pages" option. Below that text it says "menu + v" which is the same shortcut for paste. However, when in text fields that are part of the browser app (ie. location bar and adding a bookmark) the paste shortcut works. It would be great if the "save pages" shortcut was changed to something else so I could paste text using the keyboard command.

For the last couple of days my Bionic's browser opens for a half a second in portrait, then switches to landscape and can't be changed out of landscape. No other applications have this issue.My display setting for auto-rotate screen is checked.I've powered off and on and removed and replaced the battery a few times.I've gone into the App Tray>Menu>Manage Apps>All>Browser but I don't find an option to check or uncheck Landscape Only. I cleared the cache while I was there but that doesn't change anything. Since it's only the browser there must be a setting somewhere but I can't figure out how to find it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIm having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

View 5 Replies View RelatedNo matter if I've just rebooted my xoom or if It's been on for a while, whenever I decide to suft the web using the stock browser I have the ability to for maybe 5-10 minutes and then it will just randomly crash and I have to open it again. I'm not doing anything that could be considered memory or processor intensive.

View 10 Replies View RelatedAny one have any luck getting the FIOS Remote app working on their Bionic? I got it downloaded and followed all the directions but it wouldn't sync up. Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.
