Since the ICS update, I've noticed a glitch while trying to edit search terms in the search box at the top of a Google results page.If I double-tap on a word to select it for editing, an editing menu pops up and covers the search box.In the attached screenshot, you can see that the selected word is bracketed but covered.I'm wondering if this happens on other Bionics running ICS with the stock browser.

When I'm in my contacts and "edit" them to place a picture I have in my gallery, there's no option for selecting the exact face or spot you want before finalizing the perfect fit for the contact you just edited. My Droid X does this and it is a nice feature. Am I mising this somewhere on the Bionic?

For the last couple of days my Bionic's browser opens for a half a second in portrait, then switches to landscape and can't be changed out of landscape. No other applications have this issue.My display setting for auto-rotate screen is checked.I've powered off and on and removed and replaced the battery a few times.I've gone into the App Tray>Menu>Manage Apps>All>Browser but I don't find an option to check or uncheck Landscape Only. I cleared the cache while I was there but that doesn't change anything. Since it's only the browser there must be a setting somewhere but I can't figure out how to find it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe motospeak speech ro text app on bionic for tbe most part works great and a lot of features including it reads the incoming text to you bluetooth or speaker pbone it is completely hands free. The huge downfall it is a massive data consumer and with all tbe carriers increasing data charges you almost have to freeze it when not in use because permissions granted give it full access.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently I started getting text message notifications when someone leaves me a voicemail. I'm already subscribed to VVM and had never previously recieved text messages when a VM is left.
My Handcent application settings, default message application is set to disable.
The text body reads, "You have x unheard Visual Voice Mail messages. Please select the Visual VM icon to reinstall. Free Message from Verizon Wireless."
OK, so I select the VVM icon and the menu appears showing me the messages new and old. But VVM has no option to control text notifications within the settings. Nor to "reinstall."
Now that I've had this happen a couple of times and I know I wasn't hallucinating, I wanted to see if anyone else had noticed it.Sometimes, when I get a new text message, I pull down the notification bar, click the notification, and it takes me to a blank text thread, addressed to the person who sent me the message, just as if I was sending a brand new text in a brand new thread to that person. If I back out of it and go back to text messaging, their name is still showing in bold blue, indicating there is a new message, and I can click it and everything is there as expected.

Numbers in my contact list, however, have *82 programed in front of the number so friends, etc. will know it is me calling. This works fine when I call a contact, but, when I try to text the same number, I get the error "The message must contain valid recipients and content" and am unable to send the text. If I manually enter the same number without the *82, I can send the text, but, nobody knows who it is from, because, my umber will not be revealed. Is this happening to anyone else? How can I disable this feature as I don't want to use it and it's very disruptive at times? But, anyone type a text messate in landscape, select the 'Send' button, and then rotate it back to portrait and see that your last word is still in your text field? View 15 Replies View RelatedI get no led notification, screen off or of course screen on. Occasionally the led will flash a single time when the phone goes into sleep mode but no more after that. Not for email, text message, nothing. Tried a reset and no led even before re-installing 3rd party apps. None of the led apps worked either.

It is getting really annoying... I get a text message, I read it, and I go to look at a new text message and there it is looking all Unread! It may even make an indicator appear in the top bar (but I'm not 100% positive about that). I've seen this problem arise on PC's in Outlook, but it's definitely never been a problem of mine with cell phones before.

I have vibrate on text message receipt turned on. My phone will vibrate indicating I have received a message but there is nothing in the notification bar or in the list of text messages. I know that it is a failure to receive because I often text people asking them if they just texted me and I almost always find who it was. They resend and I get it. I can't seem to find a trend as to what the root cause may be. Is this a known issue that is expected to get addressed in one of the upcoming patches or do I need to report it to Motorola to look into?
My old now deactivated phone (Droid X) rang in my bag. I answered it in confusion and it was the wife. My Bionic never rang. So I tried to make a call from the Bionic, for the first time, and I got the "we can not authorize your phone please hold" message.

It may be happening with other phones, but I'm only aware of the Iphone because she lives with me. Anyone else having issues with not being able to receive texts? I get no notification or anything. It's as if they weren't sent, but they went through on the originating phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis just started happening to me yesterday afternoon. All the sudden none of my messages would go out. I called Verizon in a panic. They opened a ticket. A while later I received a message from my sister and was able to respond back fine. Turns out the Motorola messaging app does not like international prefix in front of the number. Now i get to go through all my contacts and manually take out the +1. I tested this on my Bionic, Droid X2, and Droid 2 R2D2, all with the most current software release. OG droid still works fine, I'm guessing since it doesn't use the Motorola app. Also tested and am able to send messages fine with the +1 prefix on an iPhone and windows mobile confirming Verizon answer that it was a device issue when they called me back in regards to my ticket moments ago?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAirtime FREE VZW software update! Due to network changes you must dial *228 in VZW coverage area, press SEND & choose Option 1 to reprogram phone.I tried it for kicks. It won't let you on a 4G device with a SIM card. The message tells me "SIM card has activated your service and updated your phone's roaming capabilities."So I guess with the SIM we no longer have to update roaming using *228 as in the past. I am guessing Verizon sent the message by mistake.

My only "complaint" is that whenever a call comes in or when I make a call, it always has it on the phonespeaker and not over the car dock audio connected to the radio. I have to press the speaker button to turn it off each time.way to have it default to the speaker being off?
View 10 Replies View RelatedWith email, you can choose to enable automatic "reply to all" - but with texting, it aapears to be automatic that replies go to everyone who received the original text. There doesn't seem to be a way to disable this.
Does anyone know how to get the text app to only reply to the primary sender in a text message - and not to everyone on the text list of recipients? It can get very dicy with this auto-reply to all. The stock texting app and Handcent do NOT have that option, that I can find.
I have had some troubles with my Bionic the past few weeks.I have a Wifi network at home but not in my Office or car.I will keep the Bionic's Wifi at home on all the time,but will turn it off whne I leave.Many times when I will either walk into another place of buisness or just get a text message when the Wifi is off,it will turn the Wifi on.So,it's searching for Wifi and taking the battery life down as well.I have taken the battery out with the Wifi on and rebooted.
