I couldn't find this discussion anywhere. I went to open an .avi video, checked video player instead of Rockplayer and now I'm stuck with that as default. I can't play videos in Rockplayer now. Does anyone know how to reset the default?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use ES File Explorer to browse through my local network at home. I have video files on a NAS that I can copy to my phone and play with Rock Player with no issues. I want to be able to play those from my NAS using ES File Explorer but when I click the files I am only given the options to play with ES Video Player or Video Player. Neither of these players will play the video(even if I transfer them to the phones SD card) Is it possible to use Rock Player or any other video player as the system default?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.
Is there a way to have the stock Music app as one of the choices instead of Sound Picker?

I had some avi files that were choppy in every video player and the only media player that played them smoothly using software compression was MX Player. Also I noticed that MX player would allow you to software decode video and audio seperatly, meaning you can use hardware decode for video and software decode for audio.
Under the account settings for Tasks, I only have one option:Phone Task: Not synced, visible/invisible I am not clear how to sync this period. In addition, I would like clarification on what it syncs to.

I used to be able to just play them on the D2 with Froyo, but it looks like the GB version of the stock player for D3 doesn't play wav files...is this right??
I also tried WinAmp but that doesn't work either.
I've had this phone for about a week now and being more comfortable with it I'm using more features and have an issue with the music app and widget. It wont play all my music. The app will play each song individually when manually selected but when on the song list is plays one to two songs after in order then jumps to the songs listed under "I" and repeats that segment (the songs that title starts with I) instead of staying in order, it has also done this with "M" once, have tried clearing cashe and data of the app with no change in result. Has anyone else had this problem (P.S. I'ma give up saying I wont by Motorola anymore, had the perfect chance to switch over when I signed the contract for 4G service and... bought Moto, just the brand me and my family have used as long as I can remember)
View 14 Replies View RelatedAny one found a way (w/o rooting) to disable the stock music player? I discovered PowerAmp a while back while using my D1. It was rooted so it was easy to disable those apps that I didn't want to ever start. Now, that I have upgraded to the Bionic, I can't play/pause or forward/back using the volume buttons nor my BT headset without it starting the stock player.

I run 25 to 30 miles a week and the music player is really getting annoying! I've tried 4 different sets of headphones and it's definitely not the headphones themselves maybe something internal. Also on my second phone here. The first one started randomly resetting itself, also had skipping issues. This one only has the skipping issues so far.

NO ROOT is required and works on Xoom tablets running 3.2.x stock operating system. Select a file, select where you want to put it, and paste it there." Not knowing the exact difference between US and UK stock 3.2 do you think this will work on a UK stock 3.2 XOOM?

View 3 Replies View RelatedUnable to open any web links from an app or gmail ....started to happen a few minutes ago..these links are embedded in a email or from an app like pulse etc. I have stock broswer and dolphin HD ...and I select which one to displayed when the browser selection pop up window comes up.
Now the selection popup window does not come at all...and the screen goes about 50% dark and when touched anywhere on the screen ...it comes to normal brightness...
I received my shiny new 3G Xoom (MZ601) yesterday and decided to root it. I successfully unlocked the bootloader and then flashed the rootboot.img file. Unfortunately on rebooting it hung at the Motorola logo. I tried a couple of other boot images, such as Tiamat 1.3.1 and ocboot but all with the same result. Obviously something is different about the European 3G Xoom which makes these US boot images fail.
I managed to "sort of" recover using one of the stock US boot images (can't remember which one!) but my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are no longer working. What I would really like to do is revert to a completely stock MZ601 image. I see that the Verizon stock images are available on motodev but no mention of MZ601.
1 Engineer put the stock image (it should be ready) onto ftp: at most 3 hours1 IT to put it on the motodev file server: at most 1 hours
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I connect my Atrix 2 to my car stereo via bluetooth, DoubleTwist comes up and immediately starts playing the last album I happened to be playing on it. I have several music players installed, and would like to configure the phone so another is the default. Any way to do this? I've tried browsing to a music file and pressing it to bring up the "Complete action using..." dialog, but the app I want to use (PowerAMP) is not listed among the choices. Am I out of luck on this, or just restricted to those apps that show in the popup?
View 5 Replies View RelatedHey, my battery meter (the stock ICS one) is stuck at 90%.Did a 7 hour trip yestereday with several phone calls and when I went to system, battery it showed 90% after like 12 hours off the charger, including a hour of phone calls and I know that's not right. The phone calls do not show up as taking any power. This morning after several reboots still shows 90%.

And my question is ... is there a way to set Google Music as default player that accepts bluetooth commands?My typical use case - when I try to play music using bluetooth system in my car, I have to manually open Google Music from the phohe, otherwise standard Motorola Music app would take over and play. And since there is no way to uninstall it, I have to stop motorola music app, switch to google music and manually start music there.
