Under the account settings for Tasks, I only have one option:Phone Task: Not synced, visible/invisible I am not clear how to sync this period. In addition, I would like clarification on what it syncs to.

On the PC side, our company uses Outlook 2007 SP3, and the Exchange server version is 14.1.355.4001.This phone is on System version: 6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US The bug is that the Snoozing of notifications is not being sync'd between the PC and the Maxx.Steps to reproduce, scenario A (Snooze action performed on PC):
1) Create task with a reminder in the future. Example --> Start: 11/8/2012, Due: 11/8/2012, Reminder: 11/8/2012 11:45AM
2) Await Reminder Notification on both the PC and Maxx (ie, ensuring newly generated task has sync'd out successfully)
3) On the PC, snooze the reminder
4) Wait a while, note Snooze is not sync'd to Maxx regardless of wait duration
Steps to reproduce, scenario B (Snooze action performed on Maxx):
1) Create task with a reminder in the future. Example --> Start: 11/8/2012, Due: 11/8/2012, Reminder: 11/8/2012 12:15PM
2) Await Reminder Notification on both the PC and Maxx (ie, ensuring newly generated task has sync'd out successfully)
3) On the Maxx, snooze the reminder
4) Wait a while, note Snooze is not sync'd to the PC regardless of wait duration The tasks app is a good one, hope to help iron out remaining tidbits to make it even better.
I have the tasks widget on one of my homescreens and it would be great if it worked properly. Anything I create a tasks, it doesn't show up in the widget unless I go to the widget settings and change which tasks are viewed (I normally leave it on all tasks). If I complete a tasks and it was in the widget, it's not removed from the widget unless I manually refresh it. If I try to delete the widget, the tasks process force closes.I can create tasks and get reminders and everything just fine, but they just don't show up in the widget properly.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI was surprised to find that the Droid Razr HD does not have a Tasks To Do or Notes app that corresponds to the Microsoft Outlook. I'm looking for reliable Apps for the phone that will sync with Outlook on my PC. I do not want to leave my private information in a cloud where some 14-year-old hacker can get at it. I want to sync with a cord just as I am doing now between Outlook and Droid pre-installed apps. I do that now with "AndroidSync" but there's nothing to sync those other two catgories with yet. Any advice on apps that do those chores and sync directly to the PC?

I've installed Kies with no problems and sync'd everything but there is no option to sync MS Office Tasks. Is this for real? Surely there has to be a way for Kies to sync Office tasks in this so called smart phone?
The stock camera app on my Droid Razr Maxx will no longer open. I have had ICS for several weeks without issue. It was yesterday that the camera stopped working.
I select the camera icon and the screen blanks like it is going to open, but it does not. I come back to the original screen where the camera icon is located.
I have cleared the cache. I have performed a full factory reset. Still no camera. I also tried downloading a third party camera app, and it will not open, due to a camera error. Don't remember the exact words in the error message.
Bottom line, the camera no longer works. I still have my photos, and I can view them using my gallery.
Now that I have ICS, I am debating whether to keep my 3rd party home screen replacement or use the stock one. Looking for opinions from this group. Also, are we limited to the 5 home screens stock provides or can we add more? OAN: So far, my battery life is MUCH improved and I got the update yesterday so if it still needs a few days to "settle" in, then I'm going to be one happy D4 owner. It also doesn't get as hot as it used to.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was at the Texas State Fair this weekend, and a Verizon guy was trying to con my family into all these "deal." He did have a Bionic, which I managed to get to play with. It was not long before I concluded that the Bionic is way faster than the DROID3. And that's with livewallpapers on. I fired up the camera app, did some browsing on the browser, and nothing. No redraw, no lag.
Now, the launcher speed did improve with the update. But it is still not up to speed with Bionic, it will still redraw coming out of intensive apps, and Launcher Pro blows it out of the water in all but one area. Oh and I went through quite a few pages on the Bionic forums, and did a search for both "lag" and "redraw" and came up fairly empty. With live wallpapers on, Launcher Pro's app drawer drops frames. Live wallpapers doesn't seem to affect the stock launcher at all. Overall LP is faster, but not that one little area.
So when are we going to get some attention around here in Bionic soak test land???
I have not set up the IM progam on my phone. If I go into it there are no accounts listed. I received a notification that I had a new IM. I opened it and there was a person's name and a chat, but no inidication of how they were contacting me. GTalk? Facebook Chat? Text Message? Just their name. As it turns out, I subsequently opened GTalk and there was the conversation I just had.

I used to be able to just play them on the D2 with Froyo, but it looks like the GB version of the stock player for D3 doesn't play wav files...is this right??
I also tried WinAmp but that doesn't work either.
why Bionics don't have the stock Sound Recorder app. When scrolling through the "All Apps" list in Manage apps, it's there, but the size is zero bytes. I'd much rather use the stock app if possible. It's the bestone by far.

The stock browser User Agent is still accessible through about:debug but most sites are still redirected to a mobile version even when "Desktop" is selected. my favorite browser wont deliver a non-mobile view unless you select the UA as I-Pad. That can't be good. Anyway....all was well on my OG Droid and now I'm about to give up on this dilemma and just install DolphinHD or something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis problem involves my stock ringtones, more than one though. I get a call and say Big Easy is the tone. It will play for 1 sec, then restart and play the whole tune. Same with Digital Phone sound...rings 1 time, but does not continue ringing. All sounds are on the internal card. I have tried safe recovery mode and still same thing.have also wiped cache of phone at recovery and of the apps. If I keep the tone on a full length selection, no problem, its just that the restarting of the full length and the single ring of the shorter single tones are disconcerting.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had this phone for about a week now and being more comfortable with it I'm using more features and have an issue with the music app and widget. It wont play all my music. The app will play each song individually when manually selected but when on the song list is plays one to two songs after in order then jumps to the songs listed under "I" and repeats that segment (the songs that title starts with I) instead of staying in order, it has also done this with "M" once, have tried clearing cashe and data of the app with no change in result. Has anyone else had this problem (P.S. I'ma give up saying I wont by Motorola anymore, had the perfect chance to switch over when I signed the contract for 4G service and... bought Moto, just the brand me and my family have used as long as I can remember)
View 14 Replies View RelatedOne of the main reasons I like the physical keyboard is the use of keyboard shortcuts. I noticed that two shortcuts conflict with each other in the stock browser. In a form field of a website, when I press the menu + v combination to paste text, it activates the "save pages" command instead. If you press menu -> more, there is a "save pages" option. Below that text it says "menu + v" which is the same shortcut for paste. However, when in text fields that are part of the browser app (ie. location bar and adding a bookmark) the paste shortcut works. It would be great if the "save pages" shortcut was changed to something else so I could paste text using the keyboard command.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn an effort to "squeeze" as much life out of my battery as possible I decided to take a Moto Rep's video/recommendation and use the stock Task Manager to turn off selected apps 2 minutes after screen off. This strategy worked pretty good on my Pro, but it doesn't do so well on the Razr. After monitoring the stock Task Manager now for a week, it appears that it does not turn off selected apps after 2 minutes of screen off. We all realize the battery demand on the Razr and there is a lot of experimentation going on (that is a good thing) to develop settings (Smart Actions etc) that prolong time between charges. It would be nice if we could have an effective Task Manager (stock and Moto approved) that would be another "tool in the tool box".

It was rooted so it was easy to disable those apps that I didn't want to ever start. Now, that I have upgraded to the Bionic, I can't play/pause or forward/back using the volume buttons nor my BT headset without it starting the stock player.

Disabling the stock messaging app enabled me to access the GO SMS app from the lock screen as well as from the Circle widget.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHey, my battery meter (the stock ICS one) is stuck at 90%.Did a 7 hour trip yestereday with several phone calls and when I went to system, battery it showed 90% after like 12 hours off the charger, including a hour of phone calls and I know that's not right. The phone calls do not show up as taking any power. This morning after several reboots still shows 90%.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUnlike other stock apps and Verizon bloatware, I was unable to re-enable the stock Email app.
My stock Email app used to be linked to my office Outlook email. From further research, I have found that it is the cause for warning such as "Unfortunately, process.com.motorola.services has been force closed" or something like that to pop up. My attemp to fix this was to download other developer's apps, but soon to find out nearly all of them only supports POP3 and IMAP. Needless to say I feel nauseating just thinking about spending $20 for apps like ActiveSync and TouchDown for the stupid Outlook email!
