Motorola XPRT :: Voicemail Icon Stays On
Jun 29, 2012I have no messages, but the icon stays on. I have contacted motorola agent, they said call sprint. I called sprint and they did a reset and it still remains. I even did a factory reset, but it comes right back.
I can go to manage applications/phone and cleared data, it will then disappear but then reappear within a minute. I googled it and did the send another voicemail and delete it, it still remains and the clear button at the right of the notification bar does not show up for it.

Nov 22, 2011By default, calling voicemail dials *86. On my last several phones, I was able to program in a pause and my password. Well, I put that information in, but everytime I press the voicemail button, it only dials *86. When I check my settings, my information is there, but it just won't dial that. Is there somewhere else that I need to enter the information?

Sep 10, 2011I went into the settings->call settings->voicemail settings and changed the voicemail number to be *86,,0000 (replace 0000 with my actual voicemail pin) so that it would dial, then pause (twice), then send my pin. This works if I use the #1 speed dial shortcut to voicemail, or if I just use my contacts entry for voicemail.
It doesn't work if I use the voicemail app shortcut that is on the home screen. Does anyone know a way to get that voicemail app shortcut on the home screen to use the voicemail settings?

I've tried going to Voicemail > Setup > Voicemail Number, entered the number (1416) and then clicked ok.
The phone closes the dialog without displaying an error, but the voicemail number still reads as <Not Set> and the voicemail notification still says "Voicemail number unknown", though clicking on the option again shows 1416 already filled.

Jun 24, 2010wondering if someone can help. here is a quick breakdown of events. received my new iphone 4 yesterday. went to store to have number ported. since i live in vegas and i have an ohio number, they had to switch the temporary las vegas number to a temporary ohio number and then had my number ported.
everything works fine except i am unable to use the visual voicemail. it says voicemail unavailable, unable to connect, when i try to log on.
Also, when i make facetime calls, my number shows up on the other persons caller id as the las vegas temporary number and not my actual number.
tried calling carrier last night, they were unable to help, so i have no idea what to do?
