Nokia :: N97 Mini / Selected Ringing Tones Become Default
Jan 24, 2010Guys, I need your help. I'm facing some problem with my Nokia N97 Ringing Tones. I have set my Ringing Tones to my ideal tones but sometime the ringing tones does not ring in the ideal tones I selected. It become default Nokia Ringing Tones. Anybody can help me. Maybe NOKIA can answer.

May 5, 2010I purchased a nokia n97 mini phone a couple of days ago, and im annoyed with the built in dude voice "Martin" that keeps talking whenever i get a call and my ringing tone starts off.. it just lowers it and pronounces the name of the caller with this robot way of talking.
I cant seem to disable it cuz i cannot neither delete it, lower its volume to 0 nor find a "turn off" option in the "Settings -> Phone -> Speech

Jan 26, 2010I've got a Nokia 5800 phone a few days ago. I'm trying to set the voice mail number using the standard procedure described in the user's guide. My carrier's voice mail number is *9 and when I try to set it I get an "invalid number" message. I've been reading a on the internet and it seems to be that numbers starting with a * have a special meaning on GSM phones and that is why it gets rejected. Is there an alternative way to set the voice mail number on a nokia 5800 phone?

Jan 4, 2010New user here. I am on my second Verizon Storm2 (in one month) with same issue. After dialing Verizon *611 or when calling voicemail, the number keypad is disabled and the numbers are gone or moved to different locations so I can not enter PIN. I am sure it is a software issue. Tried a hard reset with no luck. VZ authorized retailer believes he can fix this problem by wiping clean and reinstalling one app at a time. Has anyone else had same problem and any luck with a fix?

- I go into the Phone App
- Bring up my address book, find persons name and select it
- If I have two numbers for that person it brings up a screen showing both numbers and I can select one if I want to ring it.
- But if I only have one number for a person, as soon as I select their name from the address book it starts ringing them
- Which is annoying if I'm just trying to find out what their number is so I can write it down...or dial it from a different phone.

Jul 29, 2010I have a the T-Mobile version of the 5230 (the Nuron). I assumed that the notification light would flash after someone left a voice mail. T-Mobile Customer Service claims the Nuron does not do this. Under the Settings-Phone-Notification Lights-Notification Light-Events Notified screen, there are 3 options that can be checked: Missed Call, New Message, New E-Mail. I had hoped "New Message" included voice messages as well as text messages, but I guess not.
This means that I would have to turn on the screen to check for voice mails if I stepped away from my phone. (Note: I do get a flashing notification light for missed calls and texts. However, the missed call flashes stop as soon as the "new voice mail" message appears on the screen.) I've tried a soft reset with no improvement.

I use my cell phone for my business and I get telemarketing calls on occasion (Business phones are exempt from DNC). It's nice to send future calls right to voicemail. My android phone used to have this feature and I have tried with Nokia to no avail.
