Phone has recently started acting very weird. Auto dialing numbers in recently called list seemingly at random, at the same time the earpice sp[eaker isn't working and the speakerphone button won't work. If you press End, it just dial again. Sometimes it won't even poser off and the only way yo stop it is remove the battery. Hardware version is 1813, software version is CHARL1_01.30.19P, warranty date is 6-29-2011 (of course, just out of warranty). What the heck is going own? Is the software corrupted? Since it says the software is at the current level, it won't auto-update.
My phone has been behaving really oddly recently. It has started dialling random numbers during the night, sometimes my contacts, sometimes just four or five digits, and once to my service operator's helpline. It also did it when it was switched off so I had to start removing the battery at night. Just last week, it wouldn't let me send text messages. I tried the recommendations found on this forum but nothing worked although the sim does work in other phones.
I got in contact with Virgin Mobile and they arranged for me to send them the phone for it to be looked at. Unfortunately, the connection between the USB socket and the phone had been damaged somehow (not sure how as I'm very careful with my phone) so the warranty has been invalidated They say they can't do anything although I have no problem connecting the phone to my computer.
My Moto V750 recently got wet and the only button that works is the power button, and I really want to check my 40 unread text messages. I've installed the computer drivers but apparently Bitpim does not support my phone yet. I tried P2K Commander but I can't figure out a way to view text messages with that program. Anyone have a solution?
I have a V750 and would like to know how to stream live video from the built in video camera to my toughbook 30 which is also equipped with built in bluetooth.
just wanted to report that i was able to browse the filesystem and microSD card in my Telus Motorola V750 with bluetooth using "out of the box" Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx).this is new in Ubuntu 10.04, as i have not been able to do this with previous versions of ubuntu and this phone (my k1m worked ok with Intrepid Ibex). i have not tried bitpim or any of the other available linux phone tools, but i was able browse my music, photos, and videos and copy them over to my computer. i was also able to push an mp3 file over from my computer to the phone where i was able to listen to it.
so just a heads up if you are interested in trying this. I am happy to not have to pop the sd card out to transfer photos anymore.
I know this is an old phone, but I like it and plan to keep it a while longer. It works well; however, I just purchased a 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio adapter for it.I can not get the adapter to work with standard stereo headphones. When I attach them there is no sound in the headphones and music is still playing from the phone's internal speaker. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong so any pointers would be helpful.
I got a new Galaxy S5 (first Galaxy S anything!) a few weeks ago and I love it. Unfortunately, however, I discovered a very annoying feature just now. While messaging my friend on the Android system messager, I was talking to another friend on Viber. So, since I don't have a bluetooth or headset, I would periodically bring the phone down from my ear and respond to the message. The problem is, if I was still on the message screen and brought the phone back up to my ear to continue talking on Viber, the phone auto dials my friend on the messaging screen. So I accidentally dialed the friend I was messaging several times before I realized what was going on.
I seem to remember seeing this somewhere before, is there a way to disable the annoying auto-suggest feature during voice dialing? You know, when you voice dials and the automated voice comes off saying "next time say name... "
Since updating to 4.55.97 on my 8GB it doesn't seem to Auto-Resume after an Auto-Pause. This worked before, but on my run today it Auto-Paused at two stop lights when I stopped, but after starting running again it wouldn't resume on its own and I had to press Start to get it going again
i have a few iden motorola phones, i580, i877, i855 and i'm trying to use them for voice dialing.i got into the contact and add a voicetag to that contact, save it, and when i exit out of the contacts and go back into that particular contact it doesn't have a voicetag.so i'm worndering how to do voice dialing on an iden motorola phone! thanks in advance
I had put my comment in another post, but by the looks of it, it had never been addressed by any Motorola expert/employee, etc. Upon allowing my phone to sit, or after a reboot I can only make one phone call that is dialed at what I would call a rapide pace. It is what appears to be every call after that where I have a problem. In other words, I find the person in my contacts, select to dial it (or I input the phone number) and it just sits there. It can be anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute until ti finally dials.
I have a moto droid on VZW. I have it connected to my BT, but voice dial doesn't seem to function. Once I start a call I can then talk on the BT and that works very good.
i get a voicemail and will use the notification bar voicemail notification to dial and listen to my voicemail, It will dial and connect and play my voicemail, but while in this call: I can slide up and down the notifcation bar, but any other input is simply ignored. The 4 home buttons on the bottom work, the finger print reader works but I can't select power off, I can't hangup the call since all main screen input is simply ignored. Once the voicemail call times out due to no input, and disconnects the call, the phone turns back to normal operations: I can select apps, widgets on the main portion of the screen. When I simply go to the dialer and select the voicemail entry in my phonebook or hold down the '1' key, the phone will call my voicemail and I can do/use all functions.
I have had my Photon about 6 weeks and have been having issues where people can not call me they get message that phone is not available. Also when I am having those issues the phone will not dial anybody just stays on dialing screen and does not call. Also texts do not come through during that time.If I reboot then I can dial and receive calls for a half day or sometimes a whole day.My phone does get the random reboots started on day one and usually once or twice a day but NEVER has happened while I was actively using it.I have done factory reset. Pulled battery and replaced.
My phone was updated with the latest firware on the day I got it and I check for updates regularlyI do have an SD card in it that was new never in another phone that was formatted by this phone. I have tried using it without card and with card makes no difference.I have started rebooting every morning but I still miss calls. At first I had Google Voice on it, I thought that might be the problem I unloaded it unlinked my google voice account and then did factory reset but that has not helped.I do not tether or use the hotspot feature. I do connect using Wifi when I am at home for internet access.About the only thing I can tell is that it seems to lose phone access after a good amount of web surfing whether it is wifi or 3g. (I live several blocks outside of 4g cover
Using the Moto H17 headset. When I try to use bt dialing sometimes it understands who I'm trying to dial and sometimes it doesn't. Either way it dials without waiting for confirmation. this has caused many embarrassing moments as I try to explain why I dialed someone I didn't need to call. I hesitate to hang up because I then get a call from the recipient of the errant dialing asking "Did you call me? What did you want?"
When I try to call out to anyone, there can be a delay of 1 - 1 1/2 MINUTES between when I hit the call button and when the "Dialing" screen comes up. At first I thought this might be because of my Google Voice settings but that doesn't appear to be the case. I've changed the settings to every option and even turned it off completely but still have the same effect. Doesn't matter if I dial using the quick dial widgets or the contacts directory either.
On my previous Andorid device, Froyo running on an HTC Desire, I was able to insert a puase field in a phone number. That way, I can use my long distance provider, that requires the user to call their number, wait for the prompt, then enter the long distance number I wish to dial. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any way to do this on my new phone, as the phone numbre imput pad only allows for numbers and nothing else (the pause would normally be a comma or the letter p).
My phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
I got my Droid Turbo about 10 days ago. Previously I had a Droid Razr Maxx for about 2.5 years. I had a Bluetooth hands free device mounted on my visor where when I hit a button it would speak "Please say a command" and I could respond with "Call Bob Smith Home" and it would work. I then got a Pioneer radio and it behaved exactly the same and worked very well.
Now, I get my Droid Turbo and expect similar results but it doesn't work? I can "sometimes" hear the first part of the phone/car stereo asking me to say a command but it is broken up and sometimes I hear nothing at all. If I look at the phone I can see that it is waiting for a command. If I say "Call Bob Smith Home" it comes up with Bob Smith but nothing happens? Also, if I say "Ok Google" and then say "Call Bob Smith Home" a DIFFERENT type screen comes up and WILL make the phone call.
In playing with my phone it seems like the phone comes with multiple voice command type "programs". I think there is the Google Voice, Moto something, and is there maybe even something else? Anyway, I'd just like my bluetooth voice dialing to work. Do any of you have a recommendation on how to get this work or use one of the phone's other voice recognition ones that will work?
When trying to text from my Droid X2 it just locks up, it won't do anything. Even if I press the off button, it won't pick up when I press the power off on the screen. It also does this sometimes when i'm playing a game. This happens no less than several times a day.I have reset my task manager to shut things down, but it's still not helped.
I recently purchased a Q2 blue ant bluetoooth to be used with my XPRT. When I attempt to call a contact using the bluetooth device, I get an audio message that states "activating your phone in built voice command on the connected phone." "This feature is not supported on your connected phone" then my phone will display "complete action using voice commands" So in essence I have to tap the voice dialer app to make a call. So, is there another bluetooth device that is truly handsfree voice dialing that can be used with this phone?
My bluetooth keeps disengaging especially after transferring between a phone call and listening to music. Voice activated dialing takes forever to boot up on my Atrix.
The release notes for Gingerbread make note of automatic dialing of conference call codes from the calendar entry:
Easy conference dialing allows you to dial the conference number and the meeting code will be automatically entered directly from your Calendar.
I have not be able to get this function to work, nor have I been able to find any references to it in the manuals or support sites. how the numbers have to be formated in the calendar entry?? Is the a 'special' field that they have to be entered?
I use a Jawbone Icon HD bluetooth. If my phone is UNLOCKED, I can hold down the bluetooth button and I hear "Voice Dialing" and Voice Commands opens on my RAZR M allowing me to place a call.
If my phone is LOCKED, I still hear "Voice Dialing", but nothing happens on my phone. I tried SMART ACTIONS:
Triggers: Paried to a Bluetooth device (Jawbone Icon HD) Actions: Launch an app (Voice Commands)
It is on (icon is in the status bar). If my phone is LOCKED, I hear "Voice Dialing" and sometimes I'll see the screen flicker on to the unlock page, but it immediately goes dark again and nothing happens. Isn't there a way to make a hands free phone call without the phone being unlocked and without using a car dock?
is there a way to do this on the electrify I cannot figured out. i used to be able to do this on a blackberry when dialing voicemail and putting in password
Since the update, whenever I try to manually dial a 7-digit phone number, the phone is automatically prefixing a 617 area code to the number its dialing.
lack of audible tones on keypad presses when dialing a phone number? Even though the setting is turned on and the volume levels maxed? It is not a show stopper but IS supposed to work and does give feedback that the number was accepted when pressed etc.
Way back when, when I had the original Droid, there was a plain phone icon for the direct dial short cut in the original software before the first upgrade. It was the shape of an old style telephone handset, the kind you'd find on a pay phone (for those of you who know what that is/was). I'd like to find one like that again and replace the tiny contact face pic with the various symbols and shading covering it of the native direct dial icon.
