Oct 7, 2011Phone has recently started acting very weird. Auto dialing numbers in recently called list seemingly at random, at the same time the earpice sp[eaker isn't working and the speakerphone button won't work. If you press End, it just dial again. Sometimes it won't even poser off and the only way yo stop it is remove the battery. Hardware version is 1813, software version is CHARL1_01.30.19P, warranty date is 6-29-2011 (of course, just out of warranty). What the heck is going own? Is the software corrupted? Since it says the software is at the current level, it won't auto-update.

I've installed the computer drivers but apparently Bitpim does not support my phone yet. I tried P2K Commander but I can't figure out a way to view text messages with that program. May 12, 2010just wanted to report that i was able to browse the filesystem and microSD card in my Telus Motorola V750 with bluetooth using "out of the box" Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx).this is new in Ubuntu 10.04, as i have not been able to do this with previous versions of ubuntu and this phone (my k1m worked ok with Intrepid Ibex). i have not tried bitpim or any of the other available linux phone tools, but i was able browse my music, photos, and videos and copy them over to my computer. i was also able to push an mp3 file over from my computer to the phone where i was able to listen to it.
so just a heads up if you are interested in trying this. I am happy to not have to pop the sd card out to transfer photos anymore.

May 11, 2011is there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com

Apr 26, 2011I updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

It works well; however, I just purchased a 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio adapter for it.I can not get the adapter to work with standard stereo headphones. When I attach them there is no sound in the headphones and music is still playing from the phone's internal speaker. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong so any pointers would be helpful.

May 13, 2011I have a moto milestone which I am using for last five/six months. Recently I realized that it's hardware keyboard is getting harder to slide out. While sliding out, it felt like it is brushing somewhere inside or the feeling was as if it needed lubrication.
I made a huge mistake (which I realized afterwards) of putting a drop of very thin high grade oil on the slider rail. Although it was only a single drop, it sipped through from inside the screen. After three days, it has started showing. The bottom portion of the screen looks like there are oily stains from side. The touch screen functionality has NOT got affected at all. But it is looking bad when the screen lights up and the background is white.

Jun 6, 2012I had to replace the Digitizer Lens and the Flux Code with new ones in my Milestone A853.After the replacement every thing is working fine except one thing.Whenever I make a call the screen goes black on connecting the call.I can't see the caller number or Caller Screen.But when I slide the HW Keyboard slightly the Caller Screen appears.What is reason for this?Is this connected with the Digitizer or any other issue?And what is the remedy for this?

Mar 12, 2012Have a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.

Just today it started operating and running by itself. what i mean is when i unlock it, its opening applications, opening settings and just operating its self without me touching. Feb 7, 2012I have a slight problem with my Milestone XT720. When I lock the screen (whether I just lock it using the power button or I wait for it to lock itself or I set up the code to lock the phone) after a while the screen lights up for a few seconds and after that it fades to black again. This happens 3 or 4 times in a row and then again after a while (maybe 10 or 20 minutes). I own this phone only few days and haven´t got completely in grips with it but I could not find any setting that would turn this off and neither I found anything useful in the user guide. Is this something I can fix by disabling something or is it a fault of some kind?
Personally, it does not bother me that much but I imagine it shortens battery life a bit so I´d rather sort it out.

Dec 10, 2011I upgraded to 2.3.4 Gingerbread about a week ago. System version is 64.1.22.A953.Retail.en.GB No problem for the first few days but since then the screen switches off randomly (that new CRT-style shutdown, very cute). I can be viewing Google Maps, or using the camera, or browsing the web...doesn't seem to be a single trigger. The screen turns off and if I switch it back on quickly it will switch off again; if I wait a few seconds and switch on then it stops freaking out and the screen stays on.I've been using Cloudskipper and WinAmp with the lockscreen features enabled (since the stock music player on Milestone2 doesn't show up on the lockscreen). Could these be the culprits - is there something unstable in 2.3's lock-screen?Screen timeout and security timeout are set to 60 minutes.

Jul 15, 2010just picked up the Smartphone Experts screen protectors for my Bold, and wanted to share some pics so that others could get an idea of what they look like. Worth Noting - other than the little discrepancy on the top right corner, they do increase the 'grainyness' of the screen, which is particularly noticeable on screens with a lot of white. I'd say they are a so-so solution for keeping your screen scratch-free.
