If you apply a screen protector to the iphone screen then later decide to take it off can it remove abit of the oleophobic coating? If not then does the oleophobic coating wear off over time with normal use?
View 5 Repliesmy friend told me the iKlear I was using the clean my phone removes an "oleophobic coating" (which I have never heard of before) on the screen. Is this true? If it is, don't you think should say in big red letters "DO NOT CLEAN SCREEN"? Or maybe, iKlear shouldn't advertise a product that can damage an iPhone 4 as "iPhone safe". I got the really expensive user-damage Best Buy warranty because I have had horrible luck with my iPhone and iPhone 3g (take amazing care of them, no scratches or anything, but I drop it once after a couple of months of proud ownership and it shatters everyone else seems to have super phones because they can drop it repeatedly with no problem).so if the oleophobic coating was taken off I just need to pay a $10 restocking fee to get a new one. Is there any way I can tell if it was taken off? It does finger print, but it's not like it didn't before I cleaned it.

Worth Noting - other than the little discrepancy on the top right corner, they do increase the 'grainyness' of the screen, which is particularly noticeable on screens with a lot of white. I'd say they are a so-so solution for keeping your screen scratch-free.

Looks like the guy was talking to Apple on the phone and they're sending him a new one. update on the reception issue from my buddy who has been hitting his head against the wall: Got off the phone with Apple. They're sending me a new one overnight. They said they're aware of the issue, and it has something to do with a missing protective coating on some of the parts. Hopefully it's not a bunch of baloney BTW, Apple has amazing support. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional. They really do take care of you. Every time, in my experience.

I don't use the Personal Hotspot feature on my iPhone 4S, and don't plan to in the future. I wanted to look at it in the Settings by going to General>Network<Personal Hotspot. However, once I did this, a new Personal Hotspot button has appeared on the main screen in Settings. Before, the first section of the main screen consisted of Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Notifications and Location Services. Now, it has Personal Hotspot in between Wi-Fi and Notifications. Is there any way to remove it from the main screen? (since I'm not going to ever use it)

Currently, my HTC one m7 requires that i swipe the screen and then enter my screen lock password to access the phone.
I would rather that i didnt have to use the swipe before entering the password, but i cannot seem to disable this without disabling the screen lock completely.
I have tried several apps to do this including No Lock and Anti Lock, but both just seem to completely disable the screen locking at all.
