i was trying to set up a sa to always ring when my bride calls me whether i have my phone on vibrate or not. i watched a couple of videos on Internet today and thought i had it figured out. so i went to triggers and incoming call is not one of my choices. my phone also got the update this morning. is there anything i can do to make this happen?

So, I updated to 6.12.173 and went to set up a smart actions and found that I could not find the Incoming Call Trigger.Now I had this bult on the orginal RAZR already, and I had updated the phone so I went back and it is mssing from their as well.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having issues with the smart actions missed calls setup.I created a rule from scratch that basically states that if I have a missed call from any number, my phone will auto reply to the person (with my custom text message) and this applies to calls only not missed text.

So what happens is when someone calls me and I miss the call, I see the smart action "missed call" go active, but it never sends the text message?However when I created a sleep rule that states during night time, have the ringer on silent, and vip calling, and also autoreply with text stating im sleep but will call when I wake up.

I checked for conflicting rules, and none of them are conflicting so what could be causing the missed call smart action not to work?
It appears that the only volume action that exists in Smart Actions is the one for the Phone Ringer. Does anyone know of a way to set notification, call or media volumes? If not, I wonder why they left those actions out, especially notification and call volume settings. Those would seem to go hand in hand with ringer volume to me.

Once I unlock my Phone I can see missed calls and some are going to Voice Mail. People that call me get a a voicemail. This was happening after upgraded to IOS5.1.1

In call using the ear peace (no head set or Blue tooth devices) I am unable to hear the caller unless I turn the phone to speaker phone. (have tried adjusting volume during call with no result it like the caller is muted).I can't find any setting that I may have bumped to cause this also speaker still works cause I can hear the caller in loud speaker mode.

View 15 Replies View RelatedSince I got my Atrix about two months ago, I have had several issues that I have seen posted and am still awaiting a fix. Like horrible call signal when iPhone has no problem, security lock timer, voice quality from my handset, but I have not read about this other one with the Incoming Call. This issue is very random for me, but when people call me, usually I get their image in the middle and what looks like the lock screen, with one bar on left and right that can be swiped to answer or hang up. This is the screen that I get maybe 75% of the time, but every so often I get another Incoming call screen that doesn't have the bars that swipe, but at the very bottom it has two large buttons, a green one to answer and a red one to ignore. I know not a big deal, you either swipe or press a button right? Well it also affects the ringtone, when I get the slider buttons, the ringtones work fine, but when I get the buttons, it uses the original default ringtone, not even the default ringtone I have setup on the phone. I don't have any other dialer or call log app installed, I just set up my ringtones in settings and choosing individual users. Anyways, I like the button screen dialer, better than the default swipe one, but is there a way I could set a default and not get different incoming call screens.

The phone app freezes on my device, I cannot receive the call. Long clicking on the power button and toggling the Silent option the phone app crashes.Are there others having this issue? I found another bug that is recreatable. If you are in the middle of sending a text message and using the voice input and talking to the voice input when a call comes in, the voice input is abandoned, the "answer/ignore" screen shows for a second. But before you can answer, the keyboard comes back up and covers it up, so you can't answer the call. And then the keyboard is stuck on the screen. "back" doesn't make it go away (so you still can't answer the call). Even if you go to the home screen, the keyboard is still on the screen. Stock phone, not rooted, all updates applied, etc.

The symptom is incoming calls vibrate, but don't ring. If I check the ringtone by selecting a different tone, it plays Ok. I became subtly aware I was missing incoming calls. (People would get two rings, then my voice mail, but I would get NO indication of a missed call). At first I figured it was just a dead spot issue. But as it became more pronounced--I started getting death threats from close friends--I began to suspect a problem.After hour upon hour of time spent with AT&T support, I have figured out what the issue is, just not what the cause is. When my phone shows a data transfer, I miss calls. Here are the facts:1. The problem persists on the "E" or 2G network, which is native to my locale.2. It mainly manifests itself between approximately 0700 CST and 1600 CST; during these hours I see the data arrows, after that, the go away.3. During this time frame, the Atrix shows an "E" and an up/down arrow that is almost continuously black or active.4. Moving into an "H+" or 3G area resolves the issue.
5. On WIFI, the issue does not manifest.6. During this constant data transfer, the phone heats up and battery life is shortened.. I am pretty sure the phone did not do this when I purchased it in February.8. AT&T Tech Support is flummoxed. So much so, they say they cannot understand what could cause this.9. Engineers have been assigned to the issue.10. I can place calls with impunity.AT&T sent me a new phone, and stock out of the box, it did the same thing. At first, they thought perhaps some after market app was causing a constant data transfer, and the phone was (incorrectly) failing to cut that data stream when a call came in. But even after numerous factory resets--and no added apps--the new phone did the same thing.
After tech support assigned my issue to the engineers (he speculated a switching issue was causing the trouble, outside of the device itself?) I've had about two days of better service. Now, if I am, say, downloading an app, I miss calls. Or, if I update a weather RADAR app, I miss calls. And it seems that, sometimes at least, after something downloads, the phone shows a continued data UP/DOWN indication. But if I switch to airplane mode for a sec, then back, the data transfer stops and I can get calls.I have yet to hear back on my trouble ticket, but wanted to post this hear to see if anyone else is having an issue receiving calls during data loading. It sure seems like it began around Easter. I wonder if the 4.1.83 update could have caused it?
I have only had the Turbo a few weeks. I have turned on a call answer vibration somehow. My wife's doesn't do it. I cant figure out what I turned on. Need turning the vibrate pulse off. Its when swiping to answer incoming calls only. I have vibrate turned off under settings.
